TANIA'S POV
"Remember Rosy, we've got afternoon practicals tomorrow, you can't miss that also." My Coursemate and friend Vicky said as we walked out of the physiotherapy practical clinic.
"Yeah, yes Vicky, I know. I'll try not to. Goodbye!" I said as I hurried away.
I need to meet up with Lia and Kim. We've to find out if Mrs Hanna was back yet, I'm skipping class because of this. Thankfully Elle's having a class right now.
"Hey girls what's up!" I said immediately I reached the park and met them leaning by a car. Kim slurped away on a juice can with her eyes on her phone, while Lia folded her arms and stared at me.
"So???" I said, taking same position as them.
"Mrs Hanna just boarded a plane few minutes ago. She's arriving from Sweden so it'll take a while, we can't possibly see her today." Lia explained. We learnt she travelled on a trip with her husband. Yup! Money is good...
"So when are we meeting her?" Kim asked.
"Tomorrow?" Lia said.
"No... I'll be super busy tomorrow, I have a modeling shoot and it'll take a whole lot of time." Kim said.
"I'll also be busy tomorrow, I skipped an important practical session today. I can't skip another tomorrow aside that, I also need to check on dad's tech branch here in Sacramento." I said, totally pretending not to remember tomorrow was her birthday. She has to be taken unawares totally, for the surprise to be perfect.
"I also have an early lecture tomorrow. We can go see her the day after, what do you guys think?" She said, while playing with a strand of her hair. She stopped cutting it so it's much more longer now and pretty too.
"I think it's perfect." Kim agreed, while typing on her phone.
"Me too." I said.
"I'm meeting up with Jay so I'll see y'll later." Lia said as she walked to her car.
"I guess I'll go home then, I'm really hungry and Carl prepared Tteokbokki, Kimbap, Japchae and Hoeddeok." I said smilingly and Kim stopped slurping and stared at me with exited eyes...
"Really?" She gushed in Korean.
"Okay what..."
"She means, really?" Lia said with a chuckle as she opened her car door and stepped in.
"I'm coming with you Rosy. Let's go have some Japchae and Hoeddeok!" She said dragging me to her car, good thing I didn't come with my car today, it was Carl that dropped me off.
"ddo bwayo(see you later)" she shouted to Lia in Korean.
"Bye!" Lia waved before driving off.
"I thought you have another class Kim?!" I said jokingly as a guard opened the car door and we stepped in.
"Of course I do but there's no way I'm gonna miss that Hoeddeok. Girl your boyfriend is such a good cook." She said as she drank from the orange juice.
I smiled at her words. Truly Carl cooks really good, his dishes are always so tasty.
"Here," She said giving me a juice box.
"Oh thanks."
"Ryan, drive home." She instructed the driver, while we leaned back on the headrest.
Our only hope is in Mrs Hanna, she alone can explain the reason beside this mystery before Elle finds out and goes crazy.
DIVA'S POV
"It's okay Jade, I forgave you a long time ago." I said with a smile as I hugged him.
"Thanks so much Elle, I promise there won't be any reason for such again." He wrapped his strong arms tightly around me.
"You're welcome pumpkin as Lia would say." He chuckled and I smiled as we disengaged from the hug. We were standing few meters away from his faculty, I met him here few minutes earlier Immediately after my last lecture.
"I've missed you Elle. I missed my female bestie so much." He said seriously and I smiled as the wind toyed with my hair and chiffon dress.
"Durrrr! I miss you too dear, well now you've got me back. Let's not fight again okay? I don't like fights with people I care about." I said and he laughed.
"Come here you little flower." I laughed as we hugged again.
"Are you happy? With him I mean.." Jade asked calmly with his hands still on my shoulder blades.
"Of course I am! I should introduce you to hi..." I felt Dan's presence so I turned. There he stood only few steps away and from his expression, there was no hiding the fact that he was jealous.
"JD Oppa..." He turned and walked away Immediately.
"Uhm Jaaaade...I'll see you later. He's jealous already, I'll handle him." I whispered to him as I watched Dan's retreating figure.
"Jealous?? But I didn't..."
"Shsssh." I shushed him. "Don't worry about him, I'll take care of it. And don't forget the surprise birthday party of Lia I told you about. See you..." I smiled at him and ran after Dan. He's such a fast walker.
"JD love! JD!!" I called after him but he doesn't wanna answer.
Wow! Dan's so easily jealous.
My feets were hurting slightly from running while on heels.
Urghhh!! Who asked me to wear heels today anyway??
"JD Oppa!" I tried calling him In Korean but he stubbornly won't turn. "ya!(hey!) Wait up!" I shouted as I ran after him, suddenly I missed my footing and I tripped and landed my butt on the floor.
"Ouchh!!" I cried out, while holding my foot, not like I was wounded or anything but to gain his attention and just as I expected, he turned back and ran to me.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?!" He asked with his forehead creased in worry. I laughed within me...
"JD Oppa!" I whimpered. When I start calling him Oppa, I don't know. But it's all good...
"Yes babe! I'm here!" He was crouching down beside me already.
Ha!! This is so good...
"Let me see!" He looked at my foot and touched it.
"Ahh! It hurts!" I whimpered In pretense. I want him to piggyback me.
"Can you walk? Should I call the ambulance?!"
What!! Ambulance? No!!!
"I can't walk..." I said, faking pains.
"Alright then, I'll piggyback you to the car park!" He said with a smile and I jubilated within me.
Yesss...
Dan picked me up effortlessly from the floor and I wrapped my hands around his neck as he stood up with me on his back. Good thing the environment was surprisingly devoid of students, we would have been on the front cover of every newspaper or on all social media accounts.
"Why did you run when you were wearing heels? Don't you know it's not healthy?!" He chided as he walked us to the park. I smiled from behind before putting on a pouting expression.
"Weren't you the one that left me behind?" I retorted.
"We didn't go there together or did we?!" He replied, his tone emitted a note of jealousy.
"Were you jealous?" I asked gently, laying my head on his back.
"Not really. I knew you went there to reconcile with your friend but you hugged him for too long! More than five minutes!" He whined childishly.
"Exaggerating are we? And he said he wasn't jealous..." I hummed teasingly. He chuckled.
"I know you'll never break my heart sweetie, neither would I do that to you. I was just kidding." He said.
"Awwnnn." I smiled and kissed his right cheek from behind.
"Hey! do you want us to fall?" He laughed.
"We can't my love, not when I'm holding unto you." I whispered In his ear. He grinned.
"You know I love you right?" He said.
"I know. And I love you too my soulmate and my prince charming." I said placing a kiss on his neck.
"Did someone really get hurt or she just wants a piggyback ride?" He laughed.
"I-bubuni apayo!(It hurts here!)" I cried in mock pain. He laughed and I removed my hands from his neck and ruffled his hair.
"Ya!(hey!) Hold on tightly." He said and we laughed...
