NARRATIVE
Carl stared at his laptop in confusion as he watched the goons carried the unconcious looking girl out of the black jeep and into the already ready orange coloured chopper.
Seems they were too late. Of course, he did successfully track down the vehicle but what's the point of sending the guards after them when the chopper is already taking off into the sky? Leaving behind the empty vehicle.
Several maids and workers stood around in worry as they whispered to themselves.
Mrs Hannah's present too, she ran over immediately Alexis school notified her of the child's abduction.
Carl looked backwards at the perplexed Jay and Kim Lisa for suggestion.
Jay was walking up and down the living room as he made a call, his hand raking his blonde hair at intervals. Kim fondle her nails as she looked down at the laptop.
"What do you think we should do? We can't possibly send guards over there, the chopper took off already." He said as he looked at her.
"That's right, I'll call the girls right away and inform you on the next step." She said as she dialed Tania's line on her phone and plopped down on the nearest couch.
DIVA'S POV
"What?! A chopper? The chopper took off already?" Tania gasped beside me in the car.
I was still clearly in rage and the time was past 5pm already.
"Oh my goodness! I don't know..." I looked at her and signalled her to put in on speaker.
"Kim...can you hear me?" I said as I increased my speed.
"Wow it's glad to finally hear your voice, you made us all worry!" She said scoldingly and I smiled slightly like she could see me.
"Don't worry, I'm fine now. We'll talk about it all later. I want you to give the phone to Carl, let me talk to him." I said as I took a bend into another street the last actually before reaching home.
"Okay." She said, there was background whispers and soon Carl was on.
"Hey DeeDee." He said.
"Carl, I want you to please track down the IP number of the bracelet Tania would be texting you. You can do that right?" I said.
"Sure I can." He replied. "Send it right away."
"Y'all have done so much for me. Thanks a lot I'll give you guys a special treat when all this is over." I said teasingly and I heard him chuckle slightly.
"We anticipate that. Oh, I just received the message from Rosy, I should get to work then." He said, I looked briefly at Nia and smiled. She had texted him with her other phone. She gave me a reassuring smile and I looked ahead.
"Thanks dear, we'll see you at home shortly." I said and the call got disconnected.
I glanced through the raremirrow at Lia's car following closely behind us and I smiled briefly.
"What do you want to do now? Where do you think they are taking her to?" Lia asked us from the earphones in our ears.
"Let's see. The direction of the chopper will determine which part of the country that nitwit is taking her to. Nia please place a call to my agents in New Orleans, let them get ready. I have a feeling they'll be taking her there." I said.
"Okay!" She said.
Elina should just let me lay hands on her, she'll understand why they don't mess around with me.
My love, just wait a little while okay? I'm coming for you...
NARRATIVE
THE SCOTT'S MANSION, LA
Elizabeth Scott tore open the mail that Anna just gave to her from the mailman.
She was just stepping into the vast elegant living room of her home from the kitchen when Anna gave this to her. On seeing the name of the sender, she hurriedly but gently opened the letter. Rosalie had never sent her a mail before, this was quite unusual.
I hope my daughter is fine...she muttered silently.
Her eyes ran down through each written word of the letter and her eyes widened in extreme shock, the paper dropped from her hand as she collapsed onto the floor. Anna who was standing close by hurriedly ran to her.
"Ma'am!! Ma'am!! Are you okay?!" She shouted in shock. She's never seen her madam in this state before throughout the years she's worked for her.
She hurriedly squatted beside the dumpstrucked and agape Elizabeth and tried helping her up.
"No...no...Ann...Anna, get....get my husband immediately." She stuttered. It was a good thing Timothy Scott wasn't away on a business trip yet since he just got back from one.
Anna knew she can't leave Ma'am Elizabeth by her self so she beckoned to one of the gathering workers, since her scream had attracted them all.
"Ralph get Sir Timothy Right away!!" She said in a yell, as she helped Mrs Elizabeth up to a nearby couch. Ralph nodded and quickly ran up the stairs heading to Mr Timothy's personal study.
"Mabel bring water immediately!" Anna shouted to the assistant cook with her eyes still fixed on her madam.
She wondered what the mail was all about that made her dearest ma'am to be in such state.
Mabel already took off to the kitchen just as Mr Tim hurried down the stairs with Raphael.
Anna picked up the fallen mail and gave it to him. His eyes rummaged through every word and his expression was not so very different from his wife's. He looked at her and gritted his teeth, he leaned down and whispered to Ralph.
"Have my private jet ready to leave for New York!" He ordered and Ralph quickly bowed before hurrying away.
He went to his wife and consoled her, burying her face in his chest.
Elizabeth was lost for words as tears ran down her cheeks continuously, not minding the peers of eyes surrounding her.
DANIEL'S POV
I swirvel about on my chair as I stared at the projector. I was on a video call with Inspector Hugh, the police Inspector general of the crimes division of New York City.
"The video clip I just sent to you is enough prove to apprehend Vera Edgar for her crimes. We've got the nurse in our custody right now, we'll hand him over to you once she's been handcuffed." I said as I stared at him.
"I'll look into it right away and notify you on our decision." He said and I smirked and was about talking when Roe who was sitting beside me whispered something in my ear.
"Ahh, we learnt she's got many closed cases on illegal drug dealings." I said and I noticed his expression became a bit uncomfortable. "Well, I'll advice you look into those cases again and take proper actions like the inspector general you are. You don't want someone else taking your place do you?" I said smirkingly.
"No Sir, we'll be very sure to look into this carefully and impartially." He said.
"Well you should. We want to read on all headlines at most tomorrow noon, on the arrest of Vera Edgar or should I say Vera Wood."
"Consider it done." He said and I smiled and disconnected the call.
I looked around the large spacious study room and realized I've quite missed this place.
Well Roe and I arrived New York city many hours ago. We've been digging deep on Vera Edgar's files and discovered she truly was responsible for the crime from nine years ago and not only that, her pharmaceutical company secretly produces toxic and illegal drugs many years before she committed the deadly crime of child trafficking or child abuse.
We are presently staying in the mansion we used to live in before we got transferred to Royal Empire University. We'll be returning tomorrow at most.
"Dan, Jay just told me few minutes ago that the kid was taken away in a chopper and Diva is handling it." I turned to look at him. "They are tracking down her location through the trackable bracelet she always wears." He added and I smiled.
I'm in love with the smartest girl on earth.
"What about you Roe? I mean, Emerald must be worried right now." I stated concernedly. He offered me a small smile then stood up from his seat.
"Don't worry, she's only worried about Alexis." He said and I gave him a puzzled look. "Lucia was the one who informed Diva of Elina's plan." I mouthed an 'Ohh' "And she already told her best friends too." He said and I smiled.
I stood up and stretched lazily, I'm missing my heartcode. It's getting dark already, I should call her.
I walked to the study door as Roe was engaged in a conversation with someone probably, Emerald. I was about stepping out when out of nowhere my little sisters engulfed me in a tight hug. Good thing I have great stamina...
Wait! How did they know I was in NYC? And where did they suddenly popped out from?
"We've missed you so much. You didn't tell us you were coming and where's our beautiful sister in law? You've to tell us everything about it, right away..." They went on chattering all at once. Who do I answer first??
I smiled and wrapped my arms around them.
Mom must have ratted me out to them, she was the only one aware of our coming...
"What's going on?" Roe popped his head out the door, still on a call. He mouthed an "Ohh" when he saw my sisters. They released me immediately they saw him and ran to him.
"Your Royal Highness!!" They shrieked.
"Who's that?.." I heard Emerald yelled jealously from the phone.
I chuckled and ran downstairs to the kitchen. I'm hungry and I also need to talk to Diva, just few hours without seeing her and it's already feeling like forever.
I'll always love you and make you happy my beautiful.
DIVA'S POV
I don't know how they all heard but the living room was filled with our close friends. Jade, Jasmine, our director, Mrs Hannah, Justin, Zelda, our manager, Emerald, Lucia and her boyfriend, Even Katie and some other close friends.
They all came to support me all thanks to Lucia and I couldn't be more than glad and grateful. The only people who weren't here right now are Dan and Roe. They were doing their part at New york city. Dan and I spoke few minutes ago, hearing his soathing voice was reasurring to me after such a long day. Today is the longest day of my life truthfully, I talked to Dad and Mom an hour ago. I reassured them I was fine and they should relax and let me handle this.
I was sitting right beside Carl as he worked on his laptop. I was right, the chopper was heading in the direction of New Orleans, my guards were already stationed in their various positions there. Elina and her group would be walking right into their own doom.
I looked at my friends who were chattering quietly with the rest of our guests and rolled my eyes to Lucia. I looked at her and just same moment, she turned from her friends to me.
I stood up and walked to her.
"Thank you so much Lucia, thanks a lot." I said smilingly and she smiled as she looked surprised and relieved, she looked at the gold haired guy(Goldie's brother) she came with and he smiled at her. She stood up and we hugged instantly while many clapped their hands enthusiastically.
She truly changed after all.
"Thank you too. You don't know how relieved I feel right now." She gushed and we laughed shortly.
"DeeDee, I think the chopper finally landed." Carl called and everyone immediately ran to him, including me. I returned to my earlier position and stared at his laptop.
The goons walked out of the jet carrying my little sis, who still looks unconscious into some warehouse. I frowned deeply and folded my fist on seeing the situation the innocent child was in.
"What did you think we should do Elle?" Lia asked looking at me.
"The private jet is already on it's way here. The guards already stationed would dispatch to the warehouse on my command. Girls we leave for New Orleans immediately the jet arrives." I said and they nodded.
"Are you sure about leaving for New Orleans by yourselves? Why don't you girls stay back and let us handle it?" Jay said suggestively and I smirked.
"Don't worry love, we can very well take care of it." Lia said placing a hand reasurringly on his chest.
"I appreciate your concern Jay but I have to be there myself. I have an unfinished business to take care of with Elina." I said and he nodded in understanding.
"Y'all don't worry, we'll be fine." Tania added and Carl looked at her.
I smirked.
