Chapter 34

Himari is already looking at Jin when he suddenly turns his head to look at her. Her face is bright with amusement, and her head is slightly tilted. When Himari sees his face, her smile deepens and her eyes curve with delight.
(...Did something happened, miss?)
"Maybe. Or maybe not yet. It is up to Jin to decide whether or not something should happen. Not to the Tigers, but to the Dragons instead." Himari replied before focusing on the man sitting next to her.
Jin's hands clenched into tight fists. He cannot read the thoughts that run through her mind. Although she has a small smile on her lips, her eyes are devoid of warmth and excitement. He can only assume that Himari is being serious this time.
"Are you going to threaten me with the Dragon's safety every time I do not cooperate with you?" Jin hissed in anger.
"I am simply being resourceful here, Takishima." Himari replied with a smile, tilting her head slightly once again. "All is fair in love and war, correct?"
"Are you not afraid that I could kill you right now?" Jin asked again.
"Yes, I am aware of that. That is why I am speaking with Akito right now. Himari said this before showing her phone, which still has Akito on the other end of the line. "Oh, by the way. Your men will undoubtedly suffer if I am injured as a result of your negligence. I am just reminding you in case you had not realized it."
"You are insane." Jin spat and glared.
"I know, my dear. And I will take that as a compliment." Himari said. "So, are we going to stay here, or will I let Akito burn the documents he has in his possession right now?"
"Aren't you just being shameless, Fujimoto?"
"My territory, my rules." Himari simply said. "So are we still going to stay here? I am starting to feel hungry now."
Jin did not answer her immediately. He can still feel the irritation and anger that Himari caused just now on his chest. Although Jin is handling a mafia organization that mostly handles illegal transactions and business everyday, but he still has the decency not to cheat as long as he can and to act straightforwardly most of the time. He also met a lot of people before who are more shameless and act without any more dignity in their bodies.
But this is the first time Jin encountered an unpredictable and lunatic person like Himari.
In his eyes, Himari is like a ticking bomb. One wrong move and she will cause huge trouble to those people around her. Although her mood is good most of the time, she can still change it in the blink of an eye without showing any warning at all. Himari is a dangerous woman because of her unique and unusual personality, as well as her position as the most powerful person in the city.
Jin closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. Jin, as much as he despises the situation, must increase his patience with this insane woman. Jin does not want to put the Dragons at a disadvantage by making the Tigers their new enemies. They have already made a lot of enemies this month due to their unavoidable interference with their business, and Jin is not up for another group threatening his men's safety.
He also cannot afford to lose the privileges that the Silver Tigers have granted them in this city. Jin is now preparing to expand the Dragon's influence by opening another office branch in Finrel City. It will also be beneficial to Jin, as he will be staying in this city for some time. Finrel City is a good place to monitor his enemies' movements without worrying about them because they will always try not to offend the Tigers.
He needs to calm down.
Without answering Himari's question, Jin starts the car's engine and drives it to the location she previously mentioned. Through his peripheral vision, he sees Himari smiling contentedly before calling out Akito's name again.
"I think I made a mistake, Akito. The documents you have in your hands are all important. Please keep it all safe for me, okay?"
(...I understand. Miss, can you please tell me what—)
Himari ends the call without saying goodbye and turns her phone off again. Himari begins humming a soft tune again after putting it back in her pocket, just as she had done before Jin stopped the car. Himari is now acting as if she had not just threatened Jin a few minutes ago.
"Do you like seafood dishes, Jin?" Himari asked. "Although the chefs in my restaurant are all excellent in making their signature dishes, of course, I still want to taste the creations of other chefs. And besides, we only have a few seafood dishes on my restaurant's menu. But in case I decided to love the food I will taste later, maybe I can bring their seafood chef to work for me and I can finally put a lot of seafood dishes to our menu."
"...You are planning to steal their chef?" Jin asked.
He does not want to talk with her at all. Not after committing that horrible act just a few minutes ago. But when Jin sees Himari's deep smile after asking her a question, he knows he made the right decision. Jin appears to have passed Himari's test with flying colors.
He fucking hates it.
"Well, of course! Regardless, each of us is greedy and has our own selfish reasons. If stealing their best seafood chef will help my restaurant gain popularity, then I should try to get it for myself. Right? I can always offer him a high salary with good benefits or even promote him to my restaurant's new head chef."
"...And if they still refuse you until the end?" Jin asked again.
"Then he can always have a taste of my mens' bullets." Himari answered nonchalantly.
