Chapter 40

"You can possibly die earlier." Jin said.
"I know. But I'm still alive, right?" Himari answered and let Jin continue what he is doing right now. "Did you know that I always find myself lucky in every dead or alive situation? Like I will gather all my possible luck and will end up surviving in the end."
"Tch. You are still full of nonsense." Jin commented.
Jin squints his eyes when he sees that Himari's wound is a little deep than he thought. No wonder the blood is not stopping from trickling down on Himari's face. But the questioning part of this ordeal is Himari herself.
"Does it hurt?" Jin asked.
"Of course it hurts!" Himari complained. "But if you kiss me, the pain will instantly go away—Ouch!"
Jin pushes Himari's forehead with his hand and did not bother to control his strength.
"Are you planning to take responsibility if I die because of a head injury?"
"That is just a scratch. You will not die because you lose several droplets of blood."
Before Himari can reply, they both hear several footsteps approaching them. Jin quickly tighten his grip on the gun and points it on the entrance. A few seconds later, Akito shows up and quickly runs toward Himari.
"Miss, you are bleeding!" Akito said.
"Stating the obvious, are we?" Himari joked. "Don't worry. Something trivial as this is not enough to kill me."
Purposely ignoring Akito's expression, Himari looks at her men who followed her orders to provide their assistance. Seeing their stiff yet worried faces, Himari can't help but shake her head while snickering. She only got a scratch. That idiot Dansel Choi does not even know how to shoot a gun properly.
"Stop moping there and start moving. You know the drill, boys. By the way, Mal is inside that yellow container van. Give him a proper first-aid and bring him to the doctor as soon as possible."
"I've already given him a first-aid. The bullet missed his bones. But it is still going to be painful for him to move around without any assistance." Jin interjected.
Himari turns her head and gives Jin an amusing look.
"I did not know you are a kind-hearted person, Jin." Himari mused. "But thank you for taking good care of Mal. I will surely give you a gift later."
"No need. I do not want to receive any gifts from you."
"Oh well. Your loss, not mine."
"We need to treat your injury as soon as possible, Miss." Akito tries to convince her again.
"Sure." Himari said. "But I will finish my little game with Choi first."
Himari gently pushes Akito away and walk towards the bleeding man on the floor. No one cares whether he is screaming in pain or cursing them out loud. Himari bends her one knee and look at Dansel Choi's pale yet angry face.
"Does it hurt?" Himari asked. "Maybe the pain you are feeling right now is not yet enough since you still have the energy to glare at me."
"You evil woman! Your soul will definitely burn in the inferno!"
"Sure, why not?" Himari quickly answered. "The thing is, your filthy soul will burn first."
"You—"
"Oh wait. I think sending you to the underworld is a boring and easy death for you. Hmm... Why don't we prolong our game a little and let us have fun together?"
"W-What..."

"Hmm... I think my salt shaker is going to disappear from my kitchen. Then where am I going to store the salt I will buy later?" Himari said before her eyes lands on the areas where she shot him earlier. "Oh look at that. I think I know now where to store the salt I will bring later."
Dansel's face becomes paler after that. He heard rumors about how the Tigers deal with their enemies. The most popular of them is the rumor about their boss who enjoys torturing their enemies before they start begging her to end their miseries.
"Once we finished playing, you will surely miss those days when the Tigers and the Lions were still in a harmonious friendship."
"Y-You're a monster!"
Himari raises a brow when she hears Dansel's shout.
"Right. You are a monster who killed her father just to get the Tigers from him!"
An eerie silence quickly surrounds them. Himari watches Dansel's attempts to taunt her with unblinking eyes. There is still a small smile lingering on Himari's lips, but Dansel thought her gaze will literally kill him in an instant.
There are a few reasons why Silver Tigers are famous among the other mafia organization. Rumors spread that Kila, the former boss of the Silver Tigers, is a wicked and merciless person. Kila is also a smart person who quickly made several moves that spread the power and influence of the Silver Tigers everywhere. When they settled in Finrel City, they made their group insanely invisible in just a few months.
But several years ago, rumors had spread that Kila was assassinated and the position he left was quickly occupied by his only daughter. This mysterious daughter followed her father's legacy and made the Tigers scarier and more influential than before. Some think that the news about a woman leading the Silver Tigers is all just a facade to deceive them. They even speculated that Kila is still alive and he is just using his daughter to confuse them.
"As if there is a difference between us."
Himari stands up properly and removes the dust on her legs. Then she looks at the two men standing not too far from her. Without a word, those two pick up Dansel from the ground and did not care whether they will make his injury worst or not. Seconds later, Himari closes her eyes and takes a deep breath before turning around to face Jin and Akito.
"I'm sorry that you have to be involved with our problems, Jin." Himari said as she slowly walked towards him. "Don't worry. This will not happen on our date next time."
"Do you think I still want to go out with you next time?"
"Why not? You like being with me all time."
This should be one of their normal conversations if they will ignore the fact that Himari's head is still bleeding. Though her wound is now a little dry, it does not mean they should just leave it like that. The dried blood on Himari's cheek is also disturbing in Jin's eyes.
"Miss." Akito called again.
"Alright, alright. I'm coming with you, Akito. But tell your father in advance not to treat my wounds so harshly."
"...I will."
Then Himari returns her focus back to Jin.
"I'm going to leave now. Are Bern and that puppy-like guy coming to get you?" Himari asked.
"Yes."
"Then I do not have to worry about my boyfriend's safety." Himari said. "I will go now."
Himari walks toward Jin and gives him a quick peck on the cheek. Without looking back at him, Himari leaves him with Akito following her from behind.
