"It was great until I got a fucking call from you." Jin replied in a tone that verged on snarl. "What exactly do you want right now?"
(Oh, boo. Is it wrong for me to call my boyfriend now?)
"You!"
(Okay, okay. I am just kidding. I am calling today because you will be joining me later!)
"No. I am busy and do not have time for your nonsense today."
(Harsh. But you still sound so sexy though.)
Jin can only utter a frustrated sigh. He was sleeping soundly a few minutes ago when he was interrupted by a woman who kept calling him. Jin tried to ignore the vibrating noise from his phone on the side table in order to get some more sleep. But Himari has just demonstrated to him that as long as she exists in Jin's current life, he will never have a peaceful moment.
Jin attempted to put his phone on silent mode so he could sleep more. However, because Jin is only a light sleeper, he can no longer fool himself now that he has awoken. He had no choice but to answer the woman's pestering call, only to be greeted by her energetic voice.
(Anyways. You will come with me. You can consider it that I am asking you for a date.)
"How many times do I need to tell you that I cannot go with you because I have appointments to attend today?"
(Yeah. So?)
"Those are important."
(Aww. But that is not my problem anymore. Yeah?)
"Listen here, woman—"
(Himari.)
"What?"
(Stop calling me that and start using my name, Jin. I am your girlfriend, right?)
Jin tightly shuts his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose. His day is not yet starting but he can already feel the fatigue because of that woman who only knows how to ruin his day. Himari wants him to come with her today and she is not willing to accept any rejection.
"Himari, listen to me—"
(Jin, as my boyfriend, you should always listen to my requests.)
"Your definition of boyfriend is clearly different from mine." Jin sneered. "If I am really your boyfriend, you should stop treating me like a slave."
(Fine. I get it. But you are still my boyfriend. So you should come with me today, okay?)
"Why do you keep on insisting me to come with you?" Jin asked. "You can simply ask your loyal bodyguard or the other managers to accompany you. You have a lot of choices to choose from!"
Jin's voice sounded raspy and strained because he had just woken up from Himari's persistent calls and the mounting irritation inside his head. Jin is aware that, in contrast to usual, he does not sound menacing at this moment. And he knows it because he hears Himari laughing over the other end of the line.
(Jin, as much as I enjoy hearing your bedroom voice, you should first drink a glass of water. I do not want your throat to get hurt.)
"Indecent woman." Jin hissed.
(And this indecent woman is your girlfriend. So, meet me later in front of the Verita Hotel at eight of the clock sharp. Please wear comfortable clothes today.)
"I am not going. You will just wait for nothing, Himari."
(Aww. Do you even still want the Dragons to be safe after this?)
"Himari." Jin called her name as a warning.
(Yup! That's my name. And because of that, we are going to have a date later.)
"How many times do I fucking need to—"
(Hmm? What? You are going to pick me up? Oh, okay then! See you later, Jin! Bye!)
"Himari, that's not what I—Dammit!"
Himari hangs up the phone without waiting for Jin to respond. He tries calling her again, but no one answers. He keeps on calling Himari but just like his first attempt, no one is answering the call until he reaches the phone operator's robotic female voice. He can only curse his luck before tossing his phone onto the pillow.
"That woman will be the cause of my death." Jin mutters to himself with a sneer.
When Himari left him in the lobby without saying anything last night, he assumed she would disappear for weeks, as she had done previously. He really does not care whether she will leave him or not. Himari is not just an ordinary woman. Despite her fragile looks, she is handling a huge mafia organization for years. Jin does not need to be worried about her safety all the time.
When Himari left him, Jin quickly dismissed his thoughts about her and returned to his office. He did not want to waste time, so he decided to read and sign the remaining two documents on his office desk before returning home. Jin had already planned to go to one of their warehouses and see if the men they had captured the night before were willing to talk. But his plan was interrupted with a call from that lunatic woman.
It is not necessary for Jin to follow her, to be honest. The Dragons and the Tigers do not have to submit to the other, even though they are currently getting along well and wisely cooperating. Removing all the things that surround her, Himari is just a crazy woman who has absolutely zero awareness to her surroundings. His father raised him to never submit to anyone and to be proud of his position as the new leader of the White Dragons.
And Jin applied his father's words to his life daily.
But it is different with Himari. When Himari wants to do something with him and he refuses, she always uses the Tigers to threaten him. Although the Silver Tigers have complete control over this city, the White Dragons are not a simple organization that anyone can easily dismiss. Though it will be difficult and troublesome, the Dragons are capable of fighting the Tigers.
But still, Jin is always yielding to that woman. Jester is right. There is something about Himari that makes him a little hesitant. Jin will not deny that he is attracted to her, but that's it. It is not the first time for him to be attracted to a woman anyway.
Jin groaned loudly before pushing himself out of bed. He prefers not to dwell on the reasons for his actions. He is just overthinking things because Himari interrupted his sleep. He turns his head to look at the digital clock. It is now six thirty in the morning.
Jin curses his luck today and almost rips his blanket from his body before going straight to the shower. He takes a good fifteen-minute cold shower to fully wake up and flush out any sleepiness from his body. Jin picks up his phone from the bed and sends Bern a message cancelling his appointment for today before getting dressed.
