CHAPTER IX ♡

In Jay's apartment.....
Jay's parents are already there. They will stay over tonight because tomorrow Jay will move to a new apartment that is safer.
"Jay...appa...let's have dinner together now," called Jay's mother gently to her two beloved men.
"Okay, eomma...we're coming now," they both replied simultaneously as they walked towards the dining table.
The family ate quietly, occasionally sharing stories about their day with enthusiasm.
After dinner, they gathered in the living room to discuss Jay's move tomorrow.
"Have you packed all your things in boxes, son?" Jay's father asked, looking closely at his son.
"Yes, appa. Everything is ready. Tomorrow we just need to load it into the car and move from here," Jay replied honestly.
"Will there be no reporters in front of the lobby tomorrow if they know this place is often occupied by celebrities?" Jay's mother asked, a little worried about her son's moving plans.
"We should leave around 5 AM tomorrow. At that time, the sky will still be dark, and it's likely that fans or reporters won't be around yet," Jay suggested.
"Yes, it’s better to leave very early so they can’t follow you to your new place," agreed Jay's father.
"Okay. What about your relationship with that pretty doctor, son?" Jay's mother asked curiously.
"We're doing fine, Mom. I just met her three days ago during my last treatment for my leg," Jay replied honestly, smiling.
"Good... it's nice to hear you’re doing well. Can I ask a bit about her?" Jay's mother asked, her curiosity piqued. Jay's father listened quietly to the conversation between his wife and son.
"Of course, Mom. What do you want to ask?" Jay said, looking at the calm face of the woman who gave him life.
"Is she not a native Korean?" Jay's mother asked.
"Yes, she is from country A, and she has been here for almost two months," Jay answered honestly.
"Really? But why is her language so fluent?" Jay's mother asked again.
"She used to love watching foreign movies and dramas, including Korean ones. She said she learned our language from all the stories she watched," Jay replied, imagining his cute girlfriend's face.
"She sounds amazing! Eomma can't wait to meet her. You have to bring her to meet me one day," Jay's mother said enthusiastically.
"I'll try my best," Jay replied briefly.
"Does the agency know about your relationship, son?" Jay's father, who had been silent, asked.
"Huh... I haven't told them yet, appa," Jay sighed heavily.
"Hmm... what about your work contract? Don’t you have to pay a penalty if you violate the contract?" Jay's father inquired.
"Yes, I have to pay a fine if I break the contract. One of the rules is that idols are prohibited from dating," Jay said gloomily.
Jay's father patted his son on the shoulder to give him a bit of strength.
"When does your work contract end, dear?" Jay's mother asked curiously.
"Maybe next year, eomma. I want to stop being an idol and take over your company," Jay replied gently.
"That sounds better. But can you convince Meinny to stick with you for this year, even if your relationship isn’t public? Can you make sure she will be safe if suddenly your relationship is exposed?" Jay's mother asked, worried that the pretty doctor might not cope with her son.
"I'll do my best to keep her with me. As long as the public doesn't find out about our relationship, I’m sure she’ll be okay," Jay replied determinedly.
"Okay. If anything burdens you, don’t hesitate to ask for help from appa and eomma. Do you understand?" Jay's father said softly.
"Yes, appa. Thank you for always supporting me," Jay replied, holding his parents’ hands tightly.
"We'll do anything for you, sweetheart. As long as it’s the right path, we will continue to support you as much as we can," Jay's mother said, gently stroking her handsome son's hair.
---
Meinny was on the phone with her sister, Verra. They were doing a video call to talk freely while seeing each other's faces. Mei was lying on her bed with her snow-white dog, Doppin.
"Is it true what I heard from Mommy yesterday, sis?" Verra asked curiously.
"Mm... yes," Mei replied shyly.
"Woahh... you’re so lucky. All those years being his fan and not dating because you wanted to marry him. I thought you were just imagining things. It really happened!" Verra said joyfully.
"Ish... I feel embarrassed thinking about that time. But I’m also proud of myself for never dating," Mei replied, slightly bragging.
"Yes... when I first heard from Mommy that you were dating Jaymin, I couldn't believe it. Until Mommy showed me a photo of you both in the car together. You looked great in that picture," Verra said excitedly.
"Hehehe... at first, I didn't believe it either. But as time went on, we got closer. And just so you know, I tried my hardest to stay calm when I was with him," Mei confessed, laughing.
"Hahaha... was he the one who confessed his feelings to you?" Verra asked, curious.
Mei nodded in response.
"Ahhh... you must have been so happy then. I can imagine your face being as red as a tomato," Verra replied, teasingly.
"Ishhh... don’t tease me," Mei pouted playfully.
"Alright, alright. Try telling me how you both realized your feelings," Verra said, still filled with curiosity.
Mei recounted the events that led to her and Jay becoming a couple.
"Such a dream romance for all the fans of celebrities around the world. You’re one of the lucky ones to get the person you like. I’ll pray for the best for you," Verra said, looking at her sister with a soft gaze.
"Thank you, sis. I hope you won’t tell anyone about this. I’m afraid Jay doesn’t want our relationship to be public," Mei replied softly.
"Yes... we will keep it a secret until you both announce it yourselves. Mei, I want to ask you something," Verra said seriously.
"If your relationship becomes known to the agency or Jay's fans, still trust him because I believe he’s a good man. If you feel there’s no chance for your relationship to continue, then come home. Don’t hurt yourself if you’re in a bad situation," Verra said gently, wanting to advise her only sister correctly to avoid making mistakes in the future.
"Yes, sis. I’m listening to all your advice," Mei replied with a sweet smile. She loved hearing her sister and mother when they gave her advice.
"Alright then. Now you should sleep. Don’t forget to pray. Good night, sweet sister," Verra said, blowing a flying kiss to Mei.
"Good night to all of you too," Mei replied, and then the call ended. Mei thought about her sister’s words regarding the continuation of her relationship with Jay.
"I have to ask him tomorrow when I see him. But he will be moving to a new apartment tomorrow. Hmm... if there’s a free moment, I’ll ask him," Mei murmured before praying and resting her tired body.
"Good night, baby. I love you," Jay's message came in, but Mei was already fast asleep in her dreams.
