Claire POV ~
As soon we had dinner, I quickly went to my room and video call “my real friends”. I can’t wait to share the news with them.
It was only Elsa and Joyce that where online so I waited for them to connect to the video called.
“Tell me you have a good reason for calling us at this time?”. Elsa said and I nod my head with excitement showing all over my face.
“Why are you so excited? Are you finally going on a date?”. Joyce chipped in the conversation.
“What! No! That’s not it”. I quickly answered.
“Then?”.
“Well you guys do know about Desilver Annual Dinner party right?”. I questioned them.
“Of course we do, everybody knows about the best dinner party that is only attended by the elite. So why are you telling us about it?”. Joyce casually asked.
“Guess who is going to attend the dinner this year!!”. I screamed into the phone.
“You? No way! How?” Elsa screamed back into the phone having a shock expression on her face.
“Yes me!!!!”.
“The company that dad works for are incharge of organizing the party this year. So all the directors and their family got a free entry to the party”. I explained to them.
“Wow now am jealous. First of all, you entered a private jet, you live in a big house, attend a private school and now this. Am really really jealous”. Elsa playfully stated and I stick my tongue out at her. Wait until I start driving. I can’t wait to see their reaction then.
“That not my problem. I will send you a list of celebrities that will collect their autograph for me. Am I clear?”. Joyce commanded.
“Yes ma! But there is a problem. It’s a dinner that won’t be allowed except you want me to be thrown out of the venue that is”. I explained to Joyce. It was actually stated in the invitation card. Everyone have to be on there best behavior or you will be ask to leave. So imagine if I go there and start following celebrity after celebrity asking for their phone number. They will think that am a crazy fan who manage to snick in to the venue. I don’t want to think of what will happen to me next.
“Shit! That’s true but it’s not fair at all. Anyway, I will still send you the list so that you can say hi to them on my behalf.”
“So what are you going to wear for the dinner?”. Elsa inquired after the Joyce was done with her drama.
“I don’t know yet. Since the dinner it’s this week Saturday, mom and I are going shopping tomorrow after school.” I explained.
“Moreover, I was thinking of get a black dress and pair it up with silver shoes and jewelries since the dressing code it’s back and silver. What do you guys think?.” I sort for their advice since they are more into the fashion world than I am.
“Perfect!”.
“Brilliant idea!”. They both said at thesame time.
“Just make sure you get a nice dress so that you won’t look invisible among all those celebrities. Okay?”. Elsa advice. I nod my head and let out a yawn. Am so tired and needed to sleep.
“Bye guys am sleepy!.” I told them.
“Sweet dreams!”.
And we disconnected the call and I immediately lied down to sleep.

“Don’t forget we are going shopping after school. I will come and pick you up immediately it’s two o clock okay?”. Mom remembered me.
“Yes mom. I got it. See you later.” I answered her and got out of the car. This is like the tenth time this morning that mom is remaining me that we are going. As if I told her that I will forget.
I made my way pass the gate and I subconsciously looked at the Avila’s parking space. It has become like a habit for me that every morning I must look at their cars but I can’t help it. They have amazing collection of cars. Today they came in Tesla cars. Awesome.
I had just five minutes before the first class so I decided to just go over to the class and wait for the time. As I walk through the hallway, I saw Ashley and her friends standing there. Aisha and Ashley waved at me but I did as if I didn’t see them and went in to the class. They did expect me to just smile at them as if yesterday didn’t happen. Do they?.
As I went into the class, I was confused on where to seat down. I didn’t want to be a burden to Alissa and her cousins and I also didn’t want to seat with Ashley or any of her friends. So I decided to look for another empty seat. I spotted one at the back of the class and started to walk there.
As I pass by Alissa, she quickly grab unto my hands; “and where are you going to?”.
“I …I was going to have my seat”. I managed to say because I was intimidated by her voice.
“Why? I told you yesterday that you can seat with us right?”. Alissa’s questioned.
“I know. I didn’t want to be a burden to you guys.” I explained with my head bow.
“I trust me, you will never be a burden to us”. The other who I don’t know his name said in such a way that there is a hidden message behind it.
“That’s right Claire. It’s our pleasure to be your friends”. Ivory backed him up. I am really touch although I didn’t understand why they keep saying it’s their pleasure. What can they possibly gain from me?.
“See? You are not a burden to anyone. From today on this is your seat until the end of the school season.” Alissa concluded and I took my seat just before the teacher entered.
