Xander POV~
When I came to school today, I anticipated lunch time because I will get to see my mate.
As soon as the bell ran for lunch time, I hurried to the cafeteria. Allen and Josh kept on teasing me saying that I am lovesick. I tune a deaf ear to them as I wait for her. Alissa had already updated me that they seat together now in class so that means they will come for lunch together. I don’t know what is taking them long.
Just as I decide to go and check on them, Alissa and Ivory stroll into the cafeteria with no Claire.
“Where is she?.” I ask immediately Alissa sat down.
“Hello to you to brother!.” Alissa sarcastically said as she rolled her eyes. I kept looking at het with a pointer face waiting for her to talk.
“Well, she said she is not coming for lunch today. She has something to do at the library or stuff like that.” Alissa explained causing me to frown. I am not buying the story and I am sure Alissa or any of the pack members at the table did too.
She must have refused to come because of the incident that occurred the previous time. I felt furious as I look directly at the table of Claire so called friends. They where laugh with each other without the care of the world while Claire is there feeling to uncomfortable that she cannot even come into the cafeteria. I fisted my hand trying to calm my wolf down.
“Calm your horse Alpha! I know you are angry, but reacting will not do you any good. Allow me to take care of them in the most natural way. By the time I will be done with them, they will not know what struck them”. Alissa assured me as she tries to calm me down. I rarely get angry but when ever I do, it gets ugly.
“Okay! I trust you!.” The only read why I am allowing Alissa to deal with them is because I trust her to teach them a lesson. Alissa is not nicknamed the devil’s favorite child for no reason. She knows how to leave a mark on your body when when she wants too.
I excused myself from the table and went to the shop attached to the cafeteria. I got some sneaks and a drink before I head to the roof top.

I am not quite sure she will be there, but something in my mind keeps telling me that she will be there. I entered the rooftop and lo and behold she is seating on one of the benches and reading a book. She didn’t not even notice I am standing there.
“I knew I will find you here!”. I said bring her attention to me.
“Hi!”. She awkwardly waved at me as she close the book. I don’t know why she is waving though. I mean I am standing close to her.
“Hi to you too! I have been standing for over three minutes and you didn’t even notice someone is here.” I said as i move close to her and sat down.
“Sorry! I was Carried away with the book”. She sheepishly said as she waves the book to me.
“Yeah I notice. You are always reading novels all the time”. I commented.
“Yeah! Reading it’s actually my hobby. I can’t do without it”. She emphasized with so much energy causing me to laugh out loud. I guess my mate is a bookworm then. I am grateful that I have her as a mate and not some bimbo. I stop laughing when I noticed she is looking at me. I actually can’t remember when I ever laughed this mush except I am with my family.
I pass her the package that is in my hand.
“Here! Alissa told me you where not coming to the cafeteria for lunch. I guess you will be here so I brought you something for lunch”. I nervously said as i runs the back of my neck. I normally do this whenever I am nervous.
“Thank you. That’s so kind of you!”. She. appreciated me.
“Here eat with me!.” She pass the package to me.
“No thank you, I have already eating!.” I politely declined. Even though I have not eating yet, I wanted her to eat to her satisfaction. I am a werewolf, not eating for a day will not affect me but I know that it will affect her after all she is human.
We both sat there in silence as she eat my food. It was awkward but the silence was not uncomfortable which I am grateful for.
“Em.. so what is the book you are reading all about?”. I try to make small talks with me as soon as she is done eating.
We talked for some minutes before the bell rang. I accompanied her to her class before I went to mine.
“Lover boy is back!.” Allen cheered as i sat down.
“Shut up!.” I said to him and gave him my middle finger.
“If you continue at this rate, you will die of hunger.” Josh made jest of me
“What are you trying to say.?” I asked him.
“Well, you missed lunch yesterday and today and I have a feeling that you will be missing lunch tomorrow and the next too.” Josh said as he and Allen bust into laughter.
“Em. Mr Gray, Mr Hudson and Mr James will you like to share with the class what is making you all laugh?.” The teacher asked.
I have completely forgotten that a teacher is in the class.
“Sorry sir.!” We all echoed at once. The teacher gave us a look before he continued teaching. The last thing I need is a teacher calling my mum to complain about my behavior so I decide to stay out for the rest of the class.
