Chapter 6: Travel On Vacation.

As we stood at the gate, waiting to board our flight to Paris, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. Max and I had been planning this trip for weeks, and finally, the day had arrived. We were going to leave our luxurious lives behind and experience the world as "normal" people.
"I can't believe we're actually doing this," Max said, turning to me with a grin. "It feels like a dream, doesn't it?"
"I know, it's crazy," I replied, laughing. "But I'm so glad we are. I've always wanted to visit Paris, and now we get to experience it in a whole new way. We get to see the city like the locals do, without the fancy hotels and expensive restaurants."
As we boarded the plane and found our seats, Max turned to me with a serious expression. "You know, we need to talk about our plan once we get to Paris," he said. "We can't just sit around and do nothing. We need to find a way to support ourselves, at least for the next month."
I nodded, thinking. "You're right. I was thinking we could try to find a job at a middle-class restaurant or even a low-class level. We don't actually know much about the skills, but we've been learning and practicing the manuals since yesterday. And who knows, maybe we'll even learn something new."
Max chuckled. "Yeah, I've been trying to learn how to make a decent cup of coffee. But I'm not sure if I'm ready to serve it to actual customers yet. I don't want to be responsible for poisoning anyone."
I laughed. "Well, we'll just have to wing it then. And if all else fails, we can always fall back on our language skills. I've been practicing my French, and I'm sure you have too. We can always find a job as translators or something."
Max nodded. "Yeah, that's a good idea. And even if we make mistakes, it'll be an adventure. That's what this trip is all about, right? Experiencing new things and learning from our mistakes."
I smiled encouragingly. "Exactly. And who knows, maybe we'll even discover some hidden talents. Maybe we'll find out that we're actually good at something we never thought we'd be good at."
Max grinned, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Yeah, maybe we will. And even if we don't, at least we'll have each other. We'll be in this together, no matter what."
As the plane took off, we both settled in for the long flight ahead, our minds racing with thoughts of our upcoming adventure. We chatted and laughed, enjoying each other's company as we soared through the skies.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the plane landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport. We gathered our belongings and made our way through customs, our hearts racing with excitement.
As we emerged into the bright sunlight, I turned to Max with a grin. "We're really doing this, aren't we?" I said. "We're really starting our new lives in Paris."
Max nodded, his eyes shining with enthusiasm. "We sure are. Let's go find our new lives in Paris."
As we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who welcomed us with a warm smile. "Bonjour! Welcome to our hotel. How may I assist you today?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with hospitality.
I stepped forward, smiling. "Hi! We have a reservation. Our names are Ryan and Max."
The staff member nodded efficiently, her fingers flying across the keyboard as she checked our reservation. "Ah, yes! I have you right here. You're in room 314. Let me just grab your keys for you," she said, her voice friendly and helpful.
As she handed us our keys, Max couldn't help but try to flirt with her. "Merci, mademoiselle," he said with a charming smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're very kind to help us out. What's your name, by the way?"
The staff member laughed good-naturedly, her cheeks flushing pink. "My name is Marie, and it's my pleasure to assist you. And might I say, you two are quite the charming duo?" she asked, her voice playful.
Max grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Why, thank you, Marie! We try our best to be charming. But I must say, you're quite lovely yourself," he said, his voice low and smooth.
Marie blushed, her cheeks flushing even pinker. "Oh, merci, Max! You're very kind. But let's get you two settled in, shall we?" she asked, her voice husky.
As we followed Marie to the elevator, Max continued to chat her up, asking her about her favorite places in Paris and what she liked to do in her free time. Marie laughed and joked with him, clearly enjoying the banter.
"I love exploring the city," she said, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "There's always something new to discover, don't you think?"
"Absolutely," Max agreed, his eyes locked on hers. "I'm always up for an adventure. Maybe we can explore together sometime?"
Marie smiled, her lips curving upwards. "I'd like that, Max. But for now, let's get you two settled in. Your room is just down the hall," she said, her voice friendly.
When we arrived at our room, Marie unlocked the door and handed us our keys. "Voila! Your room, messieurs. I hope you enjoy your stay with us," she said, her voice warm.
Max turned to her with a flirtatious smile. "Merci, Marie. You're a gem. Maybe we'll see you around the hotel sometime?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with hope.
Marie smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'd like that, Max. Au revoir, mes amis!" she said, her voice husky.
As she departed, Max turned to me with a grin. "Well, that was fun! I think I might have a crush on Marie," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
I rolled my eyes good-naturedly. "You're such a flirt, Max," I said, laughing.
Max chuckled. "Hey, someone's got to keep things interesting around here," he said, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
I shook my head, smiling. "You're something else, Max," I said, laughing.
Max grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "That's what makes life interesting, bro," he said, his voice low and smooth.
