I can't believe that he said he loved me! But why does he have to hide it? That confused me a lot. When I reached home, my parents were already home, and I can't believe that I missed them so much.
"I miss you so much, mom!" I said as I hugged her. "What about your dad?" My dad said sulking. I walked to him and hugged him. "I miss you so much, dad!" And that made him chuckle.
"Why didn't you tell us about the burglar who broke into our house?" He e said with a serious face.
How did they find out?
"The neighbour called us." Mom said. Oh. No wonder "They also told us about the boy who saved you from the burglar." Dad raised an eyebrow. "Um.. he's a friend?" I'm telling the truth at least. "Who are his parents?" Mom asked. "Um.. I don't know." But you know his aunt! She's your friend's mom. Marie? Maria? I don't know." I bit my lip.
"Oh... Okay then." mom shrugged as she walked to the kitchen.

"Does he have a name?" Dad says, his face solemn. Oh god "Nicolas... Flynn." I said. He coughed. "What is your relationship with him?" He raised an eyebrow. "He's my friend, dad." I said nervously. "He's gay?" When he said that, I almost choked on my own saliva. "What?! No" I couldn't imagine Nicolas being gay. Oh my gosh. "And that makes me even more worried, knowing that he might have fallen for you." he said.
Oookay?
"He's not my boyfriend's dad... not yet." I basically whispered the last part, hoping that he didn't hear me. "I heard that, sweetheart." He smirked and went to the kitchen with my mom.

I've missed my parents so much that it's almost strange.I was watching my favourite show at the time, but then I became more interested in listening to my parents talking.
"I don't know Evan. I have multiple nightmares these days about a plane crashing and dead people. Ugh, it's feels weird." mom sighs while continuing to wash the dishes.
"Maybe it's from your past? Rory, what else did you remember?" My dad said, holding my mom's arm. They look so good together somehow. I feel so lucky to be their daughter.
"I don't remember anything else, Evan." Mom sighs.
"It's okay honey, don't stress it out." Dad calmed mom and hugged her. I smiled to myself looking at them. They looked so cute, oh god.
"Hey mom, dad. I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight, lovely people!" I said as I hugged them. "Good night, Rose." Mom chuckled and kissed my forehead.
"Don't stay up late, sweetheart. I could hear you talking on the phone every night." Dad gave me a look
He what?!
"I did not," I insisted, and he simply shook his head and told me to go to bed.I ran towards my bedroom and went straight to my phone, which is now full since my battery died two hours ago.
When I turned it on, I noticed I had two unread messages and five missed calls from Nicolas. I smiled to myself, knowing that he missed me already. I decided to give him a call, but he did not answer it at first. I noticed it was already past eleven o'clock that time. He is probably sleeping now. I sighed and decided to go to bed.
I was about to drift into my dream world, but my phone rang. I was startled.
:Hello?
I yawned and buried my head on my pillow. Ohmygod, so comfy.... I heard chuckling on the other line.
:The number you have dialled is not reachable. Please leave a message after the beep sound. Beep, beep, beep
I said to the person calling me. The person laughed, and it sounded so familiar.
:Rosaaa
He said, and I was wide awake.
:Hi
I don't even know why I am so excited for him to call me.
:Were you waiting for my call?
I could sense amusement in his voice.
:What? No? Why would I?
I lied, biting my lip, because he is driving me insane.

He said, and I ended up chuckling.

His voice was filled with confusion.

He scoffed and was probably rolling his eyes by now.

I had my eyes wide open when I said those words. Seriously, what?!

I was stopped when I heard my bedroom window being knocked. I was silent and I kept hearing Nicolas asking me what I wanted to tell him. When I noticed, there was someone on my balcony. The figure of the person looks like a man holding something, and I don't like where this is going.
:Um. I have to go
I said to the phone, and I was terrified indeed. The knocking starts again, and this time, it is getting louder.
:What was that?
I heard Nicolas say it on the other line. Wait, he heard it too?
:I don't know. Someone here is knocking on my window.
I whispered as I saw the person moving and trying to unlock my window. Oh no
:What? Are you serious?
He said, sounding worried Wow, I don't even know why I feel overwhelmed about it.
: Yeah, I think he's coming inside.
I said, staring at the figure of a man who might and may be my murderer.
:What?! Leave from there!
His voice sounded panicked, and I was beginning to worry myself. Before I could even move, the man was already inside my room and was staring at me with a death glare, or that was what it looked like from where I was sitting.
:Oh shit. I'm dead.
I whispered to the phone before accidentally ending the call.
