"What?! Nolan Flynn came to your room last night?" Bella stared at me wide-eyed. I sighed and nodded. "What does he want from you? Ohmygod, did you and him do anything..." She raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "What? No! Shut up, he was just warning me about something." I said as I looked at Nicolas's place. He was sitting with Brad and they were again laughing with each other.
"About what?" Bella asked curiously. "He said that I should stay away from Nicolas." I sigh. "What?! But why?" She started babbling about how stupid and annoying Nolan was. I can't tell her about their father. It's just feeling weird. "I'm not sure." I shrugged.
I noticed Nicolas was staring at me and smiling when I looked at him. Maybe what Nolan told me last night was right? What if he knows about Roxy and me being related? Will he hate me? I don't want to lose him, but I can't see him getting hurt again. I can't. He was making his way towards me. I needed to get out of here!
"Um, I'll see you later. I need to go." I said as I grabbed my books and walked faster to the door. Don't look back, Rose. Don't. When I finally reached my locker, I was relieved to find Caleb leaning against it. Wait, is he waiting for me?
"Caleb!" I said when I reached him. He had a smile on his face, and he was holding a lily. "Oh uh. Someone's watching us." Caleb smirks as he leans closer to my face. I just rolled my eyes and pushed his face away from mine. I turned around and saw Nicolas glaring at Caleb. It's cute that he's jealous, but I can't talk to him right now. He walks towards us and raises his eyebrow at the Lily I'm holding in my hand.
"Can we help you?" Caleb smirks. I can't believe this boy "No. You can't, but she can." He said, crossing his arm across his chest. Ugh, why does he have to do that? Caleb chuckled. "See you later, cupcake!" Caleb narrowed his eyes at Nicolas before kissing my cheek.
I waved him goodbye and turned to Nicolas. "What was that?" He said angrily. He is envious. "What?" I began to walk to my next class. He grabbed my wrist, causing me to turn to face him. "Why are you suddenly close to Martin?" He said, looking all serious and annoyed.
"He's my friend." I said, stating the fact.
He rolled his eyes and whispered something under his breath. "You were saying?" I said, raising an eyebrow. "Who am I to you then?" He said, getting closer to my face. I rapidly blink my eyes as I can't believe that he is this close to me. Ohmygod, Nicolas!
"You are my..." I honestly can't focus with him being this close. "Your what?" He said, challenging me with his eyes. "Um... friend?" It sounded more like a question, but I don't know. He finally released his grip on my wrist. "Oh." Just oh?
He then started to walk away from me. Sighing I decided to go to my class since I was late. Maybe this is for the best? Gosh, why did I feel like crying right now?
"You're late. DETENTION!" he said calmly when I entered his class. I always knew that Mr. Donald hated me, but ugh, he is so annoying! Thank God there is no practise today.
"Detention? You serious?!" Bella chuckled when I told her about me being late to Mr. Donald's class. I sigh. "He hates me and there is no doubt about that." I said, frustrated. Bella just shakes her head, saying Mr. Donald is somewhat crazy for giving me detention. Well, at least she made me smile. "Goodbye Rose! Tell me about your tour in detention when you get home." she teased me jokingly and went to her mom's car.
As I was walking to detention, I couldn't help but think about what Nolan had said to me. Who is Roxy? How am I related to her? I was curious.
"You're late. Take a seat, don't use your phone, and no sleeping." Clark said as he continued playing with his phone. I sigh. "What am I supposed to do then if I am not allowed to use my phone like you?" I said to him, and he just glared at me.
"Read some books. Keep yourself occupied, little worm." he smirked, "oh yes, a boy will be arriving later for detention; please remind him no phone and no sleeping." he said, grabbing his bag and charging for the door. "Huh? Where are you going?" I raised an eyebrow. "Home, duh. I don't have detention like you and I warned you if you leave before 4 pm. You will have another detention tomorrow because the security guard will let me know if you plan on running away." he spoke to me rudely before slamming the door and disappearing.
"Rude much?" I sighed and started to wander around the room.
Everything is old and dusty, and it feels like I am in an abandoned, creepy room. I heard the door being opened and when I looked at the person, I was impressed indeed.
"Yo!" I smiled at him and he just stood there with no emotion at all. Is he mad at me? Probably yes. He just took a seat and started to play with his phone.
"Um.... Clark says no phone allowed." I bit my lip and that made him stare at me. Sighing, he put his phone in his bag and buried his head in his hands. So... he's ignoring me now? "Um.. Clark also said that no sleeping." It sounded more like a whisper, but he sighed in frustration and turned his head to me.
Why are you ignoring me, Nicolas?
Suddenly, he slammed his hands on the table, making me startled. He was walking towards me. I backed away, not noticing that my back was already against the wall.
"Who the f*ck is Clark?" He hissed, trapping me with his hands. I stared at him with wide eyes. "He—" I was about to tell him that Clark is the one who takes care of the kids that go to detention, but he beat me to it as he smashed his lips against mine. I was shocked. I can't believe this. And at that time, I don't even care what Nolan told me.
I don't freaking care because Nicolas is with me now and it's all that matters.
