"Um.. I don't know." When I noticed Nolan's car was parked outside, I was beginning to worry. Is he really Nicolas? "Don't worry. My mother gave this car to the both of us. It's also mine." he said, smiling. I stared at him curiously. Should I believe him? "But I thought you said you didn't drive." I stared at him weirdly. He shrugged and smiled. "Do you remember when I first met you and dumped my water all over you?" He raised an eyebrow. I was confused. "Yeah, I can't forget about it, obviously." I said to him. He smiled. "Are you still sceptical of me?"He asked. I'm not sure. "Okay fine, but—" he stopped me. "Shush now. Let's go." he said as he pulled my hand to Nolan's car. Or his. Ugh, I don't even know! The car ride was quite fun, actually. He never really knew how to shut up and I was thankful for it. An hour later, we arrived at a beach. I had never heard of this beach, honestly. "Where are we?" I asked as we stepped out of the car. "Heaven's Beach." he said, smiling. Seriously? He shrugged. "Let's go. I had already found a spot for the both of us." he said, pulling my hand. Okay... When we arrived at the spot he's talking about, I must say it did look gorgeous. "Why did you take me here honestly?" I asked, smiling. I love beaches! especially when the sun is setting. "Because you said yes earlier, so here we are!" He spread his arms proudly. "What if I said no that time?" I raised an eyebrow. He shrugged and smiled. Seriously? "Shush, let's eat," he said, as we took a seat and enjoyed the food on the table. I wonder when he did this? It's somehow romantic It was already five o'clock and we were sitting on the sand enjoying the view. "I was scared." he said, and that made me turn my head to him. "What do you mean?" I was confused. "I was scared that I'd end up like my father."he said, looking at a blank space. What? "What happened to your dad?" He was silent. "Um, it's okay if you don't want to talk about it." I held his hand. He stared at me and smiled. "He was broken. The love of his life died or that what everyone around him had been telling him." he weakly smiled I stayed silent. He urged him to continue his story. "He never cared for our mom. It broke my heart when she died. He still couldn't realise that his Roxy whatever had already left him." He was holding my hand tightly. "I hate him so much for this. I hate that he never cares for my mother. I hate him." he closed his eyes. "It's stupid. Promising something to each other yet not keeping it." he sighs "What promises?" "She promised my dad that she would be back. She will come back for him. And that made my father never stop hoping and believing that he'd meet her again. And so, he waits." he chuckled I knew deep inside he was hurting. "He is still waiting, for God's sake!" He hissed. Somehow, I felt hurt when he told me about his father. "I can't face him anymore. That's why I left to live with my Aunt." he said softly. "Maybe it's for the best," I said. He sighs. "You're right. I was thankful though that I moved here." he smiled. "Why?" I asked, still confused. "I don't know how, but I'm starting to believe in love ever since I met you." he chuckled. "How so?" I teased him. "Because you're annoying." he said, and I couldn't help but to laugh. "But seriously, thank you." He whispered. I don't know why, but I feel like crying right now. "If it wasn't for you, I would probably still be blocking people away from me. thank you for not giving up on me." he smiled. "Hey.. Why are you crying?" He chuckled as he cupped my cheeks. "I don't know. It feels right." I said, wiping off my tears. He hugged me, and I never felt so relieved to have his arms around me. "You won't leave me right." He asked "What makes you think I'm going to leave you?" I was curious. He sighs. "I can't imagine my life without you. You know that right?" He said "Aww, you're too sweet," I said jokingly. He just chuckled. "You're stuck with me for now. Like it or not, you're mine." I teased him, hoping to cheer his mood. "I don't mind." he said. He was serious. "Because I love you anyway." I was shocked, even he was shocked that he said that. "I think I'm hearing things." I said, staring at him, and he looked away. "You're not." he whispered, but I freakishly heard him! "What?" I could not believe this. "I said, yes. You heard things." he chuckled and poked my cheek. He is so in love with me! I knew it, I swear.

This is a good and nice book. The plot twist is so WOW. So many unexpected circumstances and I like how the story ends. What a rollercoaster ride of emotion.

I’m not a fan of this work at first that’s why I’ve been putting off starting it so long but it gets a lot better as it goes, I can assure you that! And now, this book has become one of my favourite. I really enjoy reading and I highly recommend this. I have no complaints. “Youth” love sure do brings back a lot of memories 😆 and I really love the setting, it’s cute and wholesome, I have butterflies in my stomach the whole time. Still, I wish there’s more of this book...
