The next day, I woke up with the brightest smile on my face. I was happy that Nicolas decided to call me last night, and we talked for about two hours. Wow, it seriously is progress with the MNHM.
"You're up early."
My dad raised an eyebrow. I just smiled at him and kissed his cheek, saying good morning. He dropped me off at school and said goodbye. I was looking forward to the practise after school. Nicolas said that we would have practise every day after school. That is truly shocking.
"You look happy today."
I heard Bella say, smiling. I hugged her.
"Indeed I am."
I chuckled. I told her about the process in MNHM and she was shocked that he called me last night. I can't stop blushing. At lunch, I saw Nicolas sitting by himself as usual. with his earphones on. I honestly can't wait for the practice! It just feels weird, because when we're talking face to-face, he's like a different person. He's annoying and mean. Meanwhile, when we talk on the phone or text, He's just so cute. I don't know. I like the new him better. He made me smile.
Fast forward, I said goodbye to Bella and went to the auditorium. I was actually nervous. How am I going to act as Lucy? I mean, uh, yes, of course I could act like I love him so deeply. Because I am to be honest. So it's not that hard. But what really hurts is that he, or should I say, Daniel, adores Laura. Not Lucy. Huh. Do I just have to act blind while they do something sweet? Ugh
"Hi Rose. You came."
Violet said teasingly. I just smiled at her. Miss J was already there. She looks annoyed. I was confused.
"Nicolas, why can't you compromise?"
She said, frustrated. I saw that Nicolas was on the stage with Grace. Wait, I thought he was going to act with Hanna?
"Why is Grace playing Hanna's role?"
"Yesterday, Nicolas made Hanna cry, and she didn't want to speak with him anymore. She said that he's mean and scary, although he's hot as hell. That's why Miss J changed her role with Grace, who willingly volunteered herself to be Laura."
She explained. Oh.It's funny to hear Violet say Nicolas is hot as hell.
"How did he make her cry?"
I was confused. How come she cried after seeing a beautiful person? That's weird.
"He said Hanna is annoying." Violet shrugs
Seriously?
"Nicholas was obviously making it hard. His acting was good, but when he's done, he just glares at everybody. It's scary."
She added, oh?
"Nicolas Flynn! Stop making her cry!"
Miss J was furious. Grace was with her friend, crying. What the heck is she crying about? Miss J instructed Nicolas to take a break and requested that the other observe what they were doing. It was my turn to act with him. The scene was me bothering him with some English homework at the same time, I flirted with him. Easy. I could do this. I saw Nicolas smirking at me. I rolled my eyes.
Here goes nothing.
"Daniel, could you please help me with my homework?" Pleaseeee."
Seriously, my character is annoying. I noticed eyes were looking at us.
"Sure. What's up, Luce?"
Daniel or Nicolas said. I or Lucy started to annoy him with compliments, saying that he looked so beautiful.
"You look so pretty."
I said truthfully. This is weird. Daniel looks nervous.
"Laura is cheating on you if you want to know."
I said, trying hard to remember my dialog. I turned to look at Miss J, but she just gave me the thumbs up and said good. The scene continues. Daniel was sad that Lucy told him that Laura lied to him. Daniel was frustrated. Lucy decided to kiss him. Wait, what?
"Um..."
I trailed off at the part of me kissing his cheek. I turned my gaze towards Miss J. She just smiled. Seriously? Daniel was supposed to push Lucy after she kissed him. I didn't want to get pushed by him. I might fall from the stage.
"Is that okay?"
I said, hoping that Miss J would say okay and tell us to stop. Please God, hear my prayer!
"Great! You may go down now."
Miss J smiled. Thank God. As much as I wanted to kiss him, I didn't want to end up having a broken neck if he pushed me when I or Lucy kissed him. It just has to wait.
The practise goes on... Laura's role kept changing to a different person. Nobody gets along with Nicolas. All of them say he was scary.
"Why are you so grumpy, Nicolas?"
I smirked as I made my way towards him. He just glared at me.
"Go away, Rosa."
He said, shooing me away. I don't even know why the heck he was calling me Rosa, although he knew my name is Rose. But I loved it when he said it. It feels special. I feel special...
"Aww, Nicolas is mad."
I tried to annoy him more.
"Stop talking."
He rolled his eyes, annoyed. I chuckled.
"Whatever you say, Nicolas."
I winked at him, and that made him scowl. That's when I noticed Miss J was staring at us. She walks towards us.
"Rose. I was thinking about you being Laura. What do you say?" Her suggestion shocked me. Even Nicolas
"I thought I was Lucy."
I was confused. She sighs.
"Well, considering the fact that nobody wants to be Laura because Nicolas here is scaring them, but do I see that you two have something?"
What something? Isn't it obvious that he doesn't like me?
"Not her," Nicolas said, rolling his eyes.
"Not him. Ew." I rolled my eyes at his childish behavior.
Miss J smiled.
"Great! You're Laura and there's no more changing."
She said to everybody and I was dumbfounded. As much as I wanted to kiss him, I'd rather be Lucy. Why? because Laura and Daniel didn't end up together. I don't want that. Wait... even Lucy didn't end up together with Daniel? But Lucy's role fit me more.
I don't know.
