It's Friday. I don't know about today. It felt weird the moment I opened my eyes.
When I think about Nicolas, it hurts me a lot.
I used to think that it was worth it. I mean, waiting for him to like me back? Will he ever like me back? Does he even like me? Why does he hate me so much? As I remembered, I never did anything to him that could make him hate me. It hurt me to pretend like I didn't care. Seriously, I don't know why I am still waiting. He's seriously making me dizzy. Because one day he was being annoying and the next day he was acting cute and all cute.
"Hey, are you free this afternoon?" Bella asked me
I have practice.
"Yes, sure. Why? "
"Great! Let's go somewhere. I'm bored."
I seriously need some time to think about Nicolas and the stupid MNHM thing.
"Okay."
We walk to the library together. It's been a while since we last hung out. She was busy telling me about some guy that she had bumped two days earlier in the hallways. She said he was cute.
"And, OMG, I think he's British."
She has a serious obsession with British boys.
"What's his name?"
"Uh, I don't know. He looked new? And he's cute."
Somehow, I knew that she liked him. When we arrived at the library, I remembered the last time I went here. Then I remembered about Nicolas. We were actually having a free period. It was kind of boring, but at least I could get some rest at the library.
"You brought me here just so you could sleep."
She raises an eyebrow. I smiled at her sheepishly.
"Why not?"
She told me that she wanted to find some books first and asked me to wait for her. I nod and slowly drift into my dream world. I feel like someone just poked me. I ignored it. Maybe it's just me? My cheek was being poked. I open my eyes and close them again. I'm hallucinating.
I see Nicolas smiling in front of me now.
Again, The poking didn't stop. I groan and open my eyes fully. He really is in front of me. And my, oh my, he was smiling like he had just won a lottery. His dimple was shown. He looks so cute. He was holding a pencil. When it hit me, he was the one who had been poking me. with a pencil? Ugh. I ignored him.
"Why are you ignoring me?"
I didn't even look at him. I tried my best to hide the smile forming on my lips.
"Rosaaa"
Some people just stare at him weirdly. Why does he have to be cute right now? Keep it cool, Rose. Just ignore him. He was silent. Huh, that's it? when I turned my head to him and he was smiling. What now?
"Do you want to poke my dimple?"
Is he serious?
"Really?"
I was excited. This is new.
"No."
He's back to annoying. I rolled my eyes at him. I decided to look for Bella. Where the heck is she? And why isn't the school bell ringing yet?
"I'm bored. Do you want to do something fun?"
"What?"
I was confused.
"What are you doing tonight?" Tonight? "Never mind. You don't get it." He added as I stared at him in confusion. Okay? What the heck?
"Why are you talking to me? Did you miss me that much that it hurt you when I ignored you?"
"I was just bored. By the way, I can talk to whoever I want. "
"Oh really? Why did you decide to talk to me then?"
"I was bored."
Again, Lame excuse. The bell finally rang. Where the heck is Bella? I walked away from him without saying goodbye. He's funny. It's just weird. First, I was the one who annoyed him, and he's going to ignore me. And second, it was reversed. It felt weird and funny. It took a lot of effort, though.
At practice, it was still the same. It was not that tiring because I didn't act much. I mean, Miss J wanted to see the other students act, so yeah. I was busy on my phone playing games. I was bored. Plus, I was addicted to eating the chocolate cookies Violet gave me. She was now on stage. She told me to eat it for her. Well, I love food, so I didn't refuse. When I look away from my phone, I notice Caleb staring at me. When he noticed me looking at him, he looked away. Huh? I turned my gaze towards Nicolas, who was busy listening to his music. I walked to him and sat beside him. He noticed me but didn't say a word.
"What were you listening to?"
I asked, still munching on my cookie. He pulled down his left earphone and gave it to me. Okay, that's new. I happily took it and put it in my ear. I heard him singing along to the song silently.
"You have a nice voice."
He looked shocked that I heard him. He smiled.
"Do you want some?"
I offered him a cookie. He shook his head, saying no.
"It's delicious."
"Sure?"
He looked unsure. He was about to grab a cookie when I stopped him.
"Say aaaaaa"
I said while trying to shove the cookie down his throat. Nah, I was just kidding. He hesitated but still opened his mouth . Okay? That's new. seriously new.
"Thanks."
"You welcome"
This is weird. We kept listening in silence and kept munching on the cookie while listening to his music.
"Uh.. Miss J was calling for both of you."
Violet said nervously. I noticed Nicolas rolled his eyes. We walked to Miss J, and she was nagging about the practice.
"She's annoying. My ear is bleeding."
I could feel his breath on my ear. Ohmygod, why is he suddenly this close? I was sure that my face was red. I just nudged him with my elbow and he chuckled. This Nicolas is cute. Miss J dismissed us and said goodbye. I just realised that I was supposed to skip practise and meet Bella.
I totally forgot about her.
