Chapter 58 FACING A LOT

Fear, panic, anxieties, stress are inevitable in one's life. Sometimes, it takes courage and determination to deal with life's problems. Even with these, certain feelings and emotions can start seeping in and make you want to give up.
Who knew Andrew was facing a lot. Not only did he end up being the one behind his mother's death, but he also had to deal with insecurities and a guilty conscience. Not to mention the blooming feelings toward the same sex, the one deemed as forbidden, and an abomination in his eyes.

Who said teenagers do not have problems? They do actually. They need help too. Andrew felt it when Caleb, does not value the words, attention, and care he had shown to him. Truly speaking, the one with the big smile might be the one suffering the most.
....
The ray of dim light from the window side shone as Andrew opened his eyes slightly, as he took notice of his environment.
The hospital bed was rather soft compared to his bed.
"He is awake," Joy was the first to notice he had woken up, as she signaled the others, who moved closer to him.
"Andrew, are you okay?" With concern, Joy asked as Kevin and Joy assisted him in sitting up, as he rested slightly on the bed.
"I am fine, thank you guys," Andrew let out a small smile, as they looked at him.
"Don't look at me like that. I just feel I had bottled everything about myself, to the extent that it made me faint. I'm sorry for keeping all these details from you guys," Andrew lamented.
Joy rested her hand on his shoulder.
"You shouldn't blame yourself. Each one of us has secrets, and we deeply respect you for opening up. We do hope that you stop blaming yourself, and rather free your conscience. In life we make mistakes, and also have our past. The best you can do is to move on, leaving the past where it is, while moving on," Kevin and Rachael, nodded in agreement to Joy's words.
Andrew chuckled, as he snickered, before clapping.
"Wow. I'm impressed, Miss Joy. I never knew you could be a motivational speaker," Joy's face flushed in embarrassment as they let out a laugh.
Joy gave Andrew a knock, as he groaned slightly in pain.
"Now you sound sassy Andrew. You should keep mute, or face the consequences when you recover,"
They burst into laughter again.

Rachael cleared her throat, as she stared slightly at Kevin, who simply nodded as if giving her a 'go ahead.
"Andrew. Somehow, your stepdad called and requested your hospital ward number. I don't know how he got to know about you being hospitalized," Andrew frowned slightly, as his eyebrows furrowed.
"He has me monitored already. And since he traveled to the other part of the state, he would be here any time soon," Andrew stated.
"That is bizarre. He monitored you. You need to get away from him. Sorry to say this, but he is a pervert and psycho," Joy could not keep his calm any longer.
"It is okay. Please don't say anything if he gets here. I will handle this myself until we can think of a proper solution. He has a lot of proof against me, and I feel he is steps ahead of us. If not careful, I might end up vanishing, if he found something fishy." Andrew cautioned as Kevin and Rachael understood what he meant.
Joy was visibly angry but kept her cool when Rachael glanced at her.
"We understand. I have a plan tho, but that will be after your recovery. I also think you need to rest, and also need to be careful of your dad, especially when we do not know what he is capable of," Rachael advised, as Andrew nodded.
"Thank you so many guys, I appreciate it,"
"Don't mention bro. We are all good friends here. And friends are always ready to help each other," Kevin stated, as the others nodded in support.
"I don't think you should come to school this week. I will coverup with your class teacher as well as some of your friends," Kevin said
"I agree with Kevin. The doctor said you are emotionally stressed. I felt you had too much in mind which you refused to voice out, even tho it is disturbing you badly.
I will advise you to tell us some of your problems if need be. We were really worried about you," Joy explained.
"I promise not to do that again. After all, a problem shared with the right person is a problem half solved," Andrew chuckled and said.
The door flung open revealing a tall middle-aged man. His eyes darted towards Andrew's side as his face turned grim with worry immediately.
"Andrew, how are you feeling?" He rushed toward his side as he held his right hand, which was quite warm.
"Everyone, this is my stepdad Mr. Ryan," Andrew tried to release his grip off his hand as he said.
"Good afternoon sir," they all greeted as Mr. Ryan nodded.
"You can call me Ryan. Thanks for helping him to this hospital. I owe you a lot. I hope you do not mind if we are alone, just me and Andrew," Andrew nodded slightly as Kevin and Rachael gave a small smile, before turning to leave.
Joy on the other was slightly angry at his sheer audacity. She breathe in sharply as she ruffled Andrew's hair, who chuckled. She mouthed 'Get well soon' as she also left the room.
"I thought you went on a business trip. You should be there and not here," Andrew sneered, as Mr. Ryan only smiled.
He was a man in his middle 40's, quite tall with dark hair, full red lips, and more flexible body muscle that makes him look like a young guy.
"Feisty huh? I like that. I miss you and knowing you were hospitalized, I had to run back to ensure your safety. I love you remember," he drawled the last part of his words, leaving Andrew's hand.
"Love? And you were bold to say that. Lust is what I see and I am never going to give in to your demand. You caused my mum's death," he froze as he stared blankly at him.
"You said it with your mouth, even tho the evidence point everything to you. Isn't that interesting?" he smirked, as Andrew groaned, wishing he could just put an end to it.
He moved his hand closer to Andrew's face, as he slapped it away. Andrew hissed, as he felt slight pain, in his chest.
"You should stop that, or you might feel pain. Any part of your emotions always makes my heart glad. Your anger that makes your face more beautiful, or that smile that makes you more vibrant," Andrew felt sick at his stepdad's use of words.
It only makes him wonder why he had to be at the receiving end. He is very certain, there is still a mystery behind his mum's death. More like saying that there is more than meets the eye than the face.
"Since you are well. I will be leaving. Don't forget our deal. One more week for you to accept my proposal, or I will end up doing the impossible. Be well, my sweetheart. I love you," With a sickening glee, he left the room.
Andrew sighed knowing he had to make a decision soon. Either to elope and be with his stepdad, who seemed crazily infatuated with him. Or face the law, as soon as he releases the videos containing evidence that he poisoned his mother.
A few minutes passed before his friends came. Joy moved closer to him.
"Are you okay? What did that psycho say?" Joy asked as the others looked on.
"I have one more week to make my decision. Either to elope with him or go to prison," Andrew said sadly.
"Don't worry. None of the two will happen to you, because I have a plan," The others turned towards Joy's direction as they were surprised.
"I do hope it works," Andrew mused, feeling heavy at heart.
