It is often said that no matter how you hide something, it will one way or the other be exposed, even if it will be slightly.
It can be said that Joy probably made the wrong decision by volunteering to be with Andrew, to help him with moving. It was more like a stance to increase the magnetic strength of her feelings.
She helped with moving his stuff to his new apartment. For the first time, Joy complemented Andrew for his nice taste.
The apartment had a small sitting room alongside two bedrooms, toilet and bathroom as one, alongside a well-furnished kitchen. The blue imprint on the sides of the living room even made it more beautiful, coupled with the simple furnishings in the mini house.
"Thinking about something?" Joy almost screamed, as her heartbeat fast at the sudden voice of Andrew behind her. It almost scared the shit out of her, as she tried to calm down.
"Well, let me just say I love your taste in the furnishings of this house. Beautiful with simple artifacts," Andrew chuckled, surprised as Joy's use of words.
"Thank you. I also loved the design. It looks beautiful and I am glad you find it beautiful. Finally, you won't lambaste me," they both shared a laugh, as Andrew sat on one of the cushions, while Joy sat opposite him.
"Thanks for assisting me with moving some of my stuff. I appreciate it."
Joy smiled warmly, finding it awkward, even though she still had words to say.
"Don't sweat it. What are friends for? I do hope Rachael and Kevin will make it here this evening," Joy stated.
Andrew stood up as he pulled Joy up. Joy felt her heart race again, as she began to wonder what Andrew was up to this time around.

The next thing was that laughter erupted, making Joy freeze for a while.
"You should look at your face right now. You look like a petrified rabbit. How the mighty Joy has fallen," Andrew mocked, as Joy shook her head.
She hit Andrew with her fist landing on his shoulder.
"You are a bully. What the hell is wrong with you?" Frustrated, Joy let out.
"Okay, I'm sorry. But on a more serious note, hope there is nothing wrong? You look lost" Joy felt her breath almost hitch again.
She never realized how she was affected by the closeness she shared with Andrew. It was as if she was thunderstruck.
" I'm okay. So buzz off," It was even more difficult for Joy to get angry at this fellow.
She sighed inwardly, gently withdrawing her hands from his.
"Okay. Staying in the house is boring. Can we go out? We will walk through the streets and check some places out." Joy smiled, glad the awkward session would at least be over soon.
Being in such close contact with Andrew is making it seem as if her right sense has been fried.
"After you milady," Andrew beckoned, as Joy walked in front.
It was more or less like a strong wave overwhelming her at each word of Andrew. 'I need to have self-control,' she kept telling herself, but it doesn't seem to be working through.
' Feelings are the craziest thing in the whole world. Why on earth should she have fallen for her best friend,' Different thoughts kept running in Joy's heart.
After Rachael, she was closer to Andrew. For some reason, she felt the feelings she was having were nothing but a punishment.

Kevin could not help but panic after receiving a call from his family friend in Australia, who volunteered to be a defense lawyer for his father.
She told her how his father's case could not be handled easily as it involve a lot of people. Not only that, 70% of his properties have been cleared off by his foster mother. And the remaining 30% has been sold by the company to cover up only 50% of the debt incurred.
Kevin felt his world spinning again. The way he made her way to the police station felt as if he had to force all his body to move. Everything does not seem right.
He had to even wait for 30 minutes before he could see his father. That made possible, as he provided pictures of himself and his father showing he was related to him.
The door to a room opened, as he saw his father, his head down, as his blonde hair has turned slightly grey, and rough.
"Dad," his voice almost shook as he moved closer.
"My son. How are you? Thanks for checking up on me," his father stated with a smile.
Kevin could not speak for some time as he felt his tongue was tied. His father looks slightly changed, as he has even lost weight within the few days he has been held. His eyes were small and looked as if he has cried a lot.
He does not need a psychic to inform him that his father has been thinking and crying. He hugged his dad, not minding the dirt on the white prison uniform he put on.
"Dad, I miss you," Kevin said warmly.
Those three words left his father's heart gazing with happiness. He never expected his son would look for him.
Instead of being around most of the time, he has neglected him and instead went for more businesses to accumulate more income. He had thought amassing wealth will be the best thing, especially in enforcing the life of his only son.
But little did he realize that it was a mere fantasy. The more you have, the more you keep pleading for more. It was a game of running after the wind. Nothing good came out of it, but rather disappointments and more problems, one he is currently in.
Kevin withdrew from the hug as he sat opposite his father, holding his hands gently.
"How are you doing dad?"
"I am fine. I never knew you would even check up on me. I thought you believed them."
Kevin's hands tightened around his dad's, as he looked intently into his eyes.
"I trust you dad. I figured out my fake mum is behind this," Kevin's father turned pale, as he bow down in guilt.
"I should have told you about it. I'm sorry,"
"To be honest, you didn't do well in that regard. You wanted her to just leave after raising me for over eighteen years. Isn't that a little bit cruel?" Kevin tried to calm down, as his voice went high a bit.
"I know what I did was wrong but Arianna is a green snake under the green grass. She has always been jealous of the relationship between your mother and me.
I was quite surprised when she decided to take care of you. I could not stop her, since almost the whole family supported it.
With time, she insisted we get married, but I firmly told her I was in love with your mum. Little did I know that Arianna was only after getting married to me. That was when I began distancing myself from her." Kevin sighed, feeling down as things are beginning to get clear to him.
"But still, you should have tried loving her. She has always been caring and supportive, and I never knew she was not my mother. Just maybe, her feelings got the better of her, blinding her and making her turn against you in anger. In time, her love for money also grew, making her resulting in this shameless action of hers." Kevin explained, as his dad nodded.
"I made a terrible mistake. I have learned my lesson the hard way. No matter what, never give up. There is no way I won't go to jail. But I do hope you continue to persevere." Kevin felt hot tears waiting to flow down his face.
"It is okay, dad. I will try to get you out of here. Just know that," Kevin reassured.
His father only let out a fake smile. For someone involved in fraud and embezzlement might go for 20 years imprisonment.
The door opened, and a cop entered.
"Time is up Kevin Harpers. You have to leave now,"
Kevin and his dad hugged each other, as his dad whispered some words to his ear.

Kevin felt all his strength almost draining as he realized he had skipped breakfast that morning. He had left early in the morning without greeting either Rachael or his mum.
He went to his favorite spot where there were a lot of trees branches. It was the best place for him to think. And somehow, he was able to just sit there for over two hours, reminiscing about his life and the beautiful creatures of the Almighty.
Sighing, and bringing himself back from his thinking world, Kevin looked across the police station, as he saw a restaurant. The strong urge to eat came into full effect as he his stomach grumbled.
He crossed to the other side, but little did he know that more mysteries are about to uncover.
