It half of the week already, it's a Thursday, David had called me on Monday evening about his book signing which was around the corner, which happens to be today, I already made plans to go with Jade, she was prepared for this, always love occasions where there's a lot of socializing. I told her immediately after the news got to me, I knew that she would be willing to go at any time, but I let her know about it beforehand, so she could possibly plan herself well, you know, letting Cameron know that he wouldn't be available for some hours today. After we was done with the preparation, we decided to drive in my car to the location. I knew that many people will be there, everyone of his fans wanting him to sign their books. Today was always one of the most stressful days in an Author's life, going to keep signing books for hours, with thousands of people always present, considering he's a best selling author too, I wonder the kind of numbers would be present today. In his last book signing, they were around 3,200 and above, I wonder what today's numbers were going to be. For mine, my last book signing has around 2,100 people present, they're probably more than that, but that's the number I was so sure was there that day. Getting down from the car with Jade, I noticed he was yet to arrive with his wife Lydia, just going to stick around like everyone else here. The moment we started hearing noises chattering from another direction, I knew he has arrived, I called Jade to follow suit, he was on the phone, probably with Cameron, those two can hardly stay away from each other. She followed me as we sat by the corner, not in line with the others, but was sitting where they can see us, Mom and Dad were here too, as well as Jack and his family, everyone was out here for David and I was holding onto one of his book which was my favorite from him, a story that felt so real, so me, I knew those kind of books can come from someone like David, but if feels more like the book was more about me than anyone else who has read it so far. Lydia was sitting beside him, with Jones in her hold, but I saw Linda heading towards me and Jade. “ Hello Auntie Benny....” her tiny voice breaks boundaries, so loud and innocent, full of joy, especially with those smiles. She has always been a fan of mine, and as well as me, I'm her biggest fan too. I hugged her, welcoming her into my hold before she went and hugged Jade too, with Jade's playful behavior, every kid wants to be around her because she offers nothing but happiness and care, she's one of the best friends I have ever come across, my sister from another parents, she wears her emotion on her sleeves, having no reason to hide whatever she's feeling inside. After spending close to three hours there, which I actually never realized how fast the time was, it's early afternoon and I would need to be grabbing some snacky food to have for lunch since I wasn't at home, sorry for the healthy freaks, but I'm just gonna buy a lot of snacks, whoever feels like they want to eat out of diet should come collect some from me after I have got it. Luckily, I found a store around the corner, most people that have come for the signing was there too, probably asking another person out there to fill in their lines for them until their return. With a lot of people standing there, I decided to dive in into my phone, only to see three messages there already, all came from one person, Aiden. ( Hey Benny, I was wondering whether I would be getting some lunch today....) ( Hey Benny....incase you see this message earlier before showing up, I feel like I am craving for salmon, can you, you know.... please!!!....) ( Wow, the fact you haven't replied yet, seems like you're pretty occupied over there...) Each of the messages were so exciting to read, I'm happy to see the way he now relies on me for lunch, seeing the benefits of a home cooked meal, really great for lunch. Seeing the way he was begging, I have that feeling that he doesn't just want lunch, he probably wanted to see me, we haven't seen again since Monday, not that I am not striving to get my feet running to the hospital to see him, but it's a tough position being just a friend to someone as gorgeous as him. I replied to his texts, writing back to him, explaining that today's lunch would be impossible, that I am at my brother's occasion and doesn't think I can make it to the hospital today. I promised him that I'll make sure that he gets something special tomorrow to apologize for the salmon he's craving. I got what I came for after spending close to fifteen minutes because of the number of people present, getting back to the book signing area, I opened the bag filled with burgers. “ Oh God baby!.... I love you so so much....” Jade was excited, as she dived in, grabbing some for herself. Picking one out of the bag, the first person my eyes traveled to was my Dad, he was staring with a smile on his face, which was contagious as I burst out laughing, knowing his reasons for staring at me that way. “ Oh God kiddo, you're an angel.....” my mom said beside me, digging his hand into the bag, then turned around to look at me with shock in her eyes, LoL.... I know that look, and I have answers for her. “ Don't worry Mom, I got it for everyone, I'm not going to eat it all alone....”
