Reid POV
I walk back into the sitting room and met Zayn in the same position I left him, drinking himself to a stupor.
I glance at the bottles of alcohol on the table and pain ripped my heart… I can't remember the last time Zayn'd too much drink.
I sighed softly and sat next to him on the couch.
“Zayn” I called quietly.
He just stares blankly at the TV screen, not looking at me.
“Zayn you're hurting yourself” I reminded plainly.
He leaned forward and picked his halfway drink.
Not anymore.
I grabbed his hand before he could raise the bottle to his lips.
“That's enough already,” I said sternly.
“Let go of my hand Reid” He says in a drunk voice, trying to fred his hand, still not looking at me. “Zayn please, that's enough,” I said more calmly. He looks at me, I caught glimpse of tears pricked his eyes.
“After I lost Iris,” He began in a croaked voice.
I collected the bottle from his hand and dropped it on the table.
“I thought I'd lost everything” He turned to look Iris statue in the living room.
“My mum, my dad, Iris…everything” I just watch him talk, belching loudly every minute.
“But you see” he paused and turned to me beside him.
“Since the night I met Flora, it feels everything has returned,” he says, with a little smile lingering on his lips.
“ I hate to admit it, but I've liked Flora since the night I saw her in blacks,” he continues.
His tears are now rolling down his cheeks and I could feel my throat tightened.
F**k you Ryder!
“Flora is just like my longed lost happiness and look at me…” he sniffles and raises his brows.
“I let go of my happiness,” he says.
I shook my head sideways, patting his back.
“It's not your fault Zayn” I hushed him.
“Ryder is to be blame here, and I promise you, he's going to regret it, "I said with fist clenched.
Zayn chuckles and rose to his feet, giddily.
I also stood up and held his arms.
“Ryder has won already, right?” He questioned, smiling sheepishly.
I shake my head sideways.
“Ryder is a loser,” I corrected.
“I am the loser here Reid”
“ I couldn't protect Iris and same with Flora too” he sobs quietly.
Gee!
My heart is now aching badly.
“Flora will be found soon Zayn” I assured, stroking his back.
 “The hacker guy is still on it, and remember Nick is also searching for Ryder. Together, they will be found very soon," I added.
He breathes out heavily, and I watch him staggered towards the stairs.
Damn!
I never knew Flora's disappearance could make Zayn feel so desolated- the last time he was like this was when he lost his only sister, Iris.
I really feel for him-I had to flew back to San Francisco last night.
 Zayn is the only family I've left, and we've been together for some years now, before the death of Iris. He's a great guy.
 I've always known he likes Flora even though he never shows it, and that was the reason I'd to act like I was into Flora.
I sighed loudly as I watch him ascend the stairs with unsteady steps.
Zayn's happiness is my happiness, and his problem is my problem too.
I fetch my phone from the table and placed a call through the hacker's line.
I pave the living room with the phone pressed to my ear, waiting impatiently for him to pick his call.
“Hey Jones” I said, immediately he picked the call.
“Hi bro” He replied cheerfully.
“Tell me something new,” I inquired.
I heard him sighed.
“What's it Jones?”
“I couldn't track the chip, Reid, it's been disconnected” he explained.

What's this?
“So what do we do now?” 
“You know what you're going to do for me?” He asked.
I rolled my eyes.
“No, maybe you should tell me,” I responded, with my fingers raking my hair.
“Can you get the lady's number?”
“If you can get the digit, I should be able to track it down” he says and my face crinkled up in a smile.
We didn't think of that.
“Right away Jones” I told him and hung up quickly.
I run towards the stairs gleefully, climbing it in twos.
I need to get Flora's number from Zayn.
And I bet Zayn would be happy to hear this.
 Flora POV
"Do you think I can stay alone?” I pout.
He laughs.
“Come on baby girl” He pulled my cheek playfully. “I'll be back before you know it,”He says. I twisted my lips and nodded solemnly.
“Don't give me that face, Flora, I promise to be back soon… I just need to get some things,” He further said.
I walk towards my bed and sit on it.
“Alright” I said, still not smiling.
“No, baby, you need to smile. Remember your smile brighten my day?” He smiles broadly.
I shook my head and stood on my feet again.
“You want me to smile, right?” 
He nodded curtly.
“On one condition,” I told him bluntly, with my arms entwined. “Ugh!.. What condition Flora?” He questioned. Good.
“It's simple, I want to have that phone I saw in your room few days back” I told him and I caught a glimpse of fear written on his face, but he was quick to replace it a faint smile.
“Uh mm… I… Flora… You see,” He stuttered.
I hold his hand and look into his eyes.
"Please Ryder," I plead, pouting my lips.
“But it's not my phone,” he said.
Fool,
Of course I know it's my phone.
“Whose phone?” I asked him.
He stares at me and shook his head.
“Never mind… I'll give it to you,” he announced and sighed softly.
I squealed happily.
“I'm smiling already, right?” I wink at him and pulled his hand, as we both walk towards the door.
“Where are we going, Flora?” He asked with an eye roll. “To your room of course” I replied, still smiling.
We both stepped out of my room, hand in hand.
“Let's go,” I dragged him along as we walk towards his room.
It's been two weeks already.
And believe me, I'm sick in tired of all this pretence act.
But I'm glad I'm putting in my best effort cause till now, Ryder hasn't suspected a thing, and I pray he won't till I succeeded in this game.
I should drop a message for Zayn after Ryder leaves the house. I'm sure he would be worried sick. I miss him so much.
