Flora POV
I raced to my room immediately Ryder left the house. He had reluctantly given me the phone which I gladly collected,
 he thinks he's smart, but I am smarter.
I turned on the phone and my bright smile appears on the phone screen, it earns a small smile from my lips.
 I hurriedly dialed Zayn's number, beaming with smiles.
“Just pick up already, Zayn,” I said, feeling delighted.
“Flora, is that you?” I heard through the phone.
It's not Zayn's voice.
“Yes it's me, who're you? Please give the phone to Zayn, I need to speak with him,” I said impatiently as tears pricked my eyes.
“This is Reid, Flora,” I heard.
I gasped lowly.
“Oh my goodness, Reid, where have you been?” I asked cheerfully.
“Those talks can wait, Flora”
“Where are you? Zayn has not been himself since you left, and I'm distressed,” He explained bitterly.
I sighed and folded my legs on the bed.
“Can I speak to him?” 
“I've been trying to wake him since I saw your call, but he's not responding, he's drunk Flora” 
“He gets drunk every day because of you, please just tell me where you're now, we should come get you as soon as possible” he coaxed, and the tears are now gushing from my eyes.
“Zayn will be so happy,” he added.
I'm so sorry, Zayn,
But I need to do this.
“I'm safe, Reid, but please don't try to call me after I drop this call,” I told him.
“ I'll always be the one to call first” 
“But why?”
 I should let him know my reasons, right?
I sighed. “Reid, I need to figure out some things about Ryder,” I began.
“He's hiding something which I want to find out, so I'm pretending like I lose my memory,” I explained.
“What?!” He exclaimed silently.
“Flora, it's none of your business” I shut my eyes briefly as I listen to him.
“Ryder is not someone he appeared to be, you can't handle him, Flora,” he reminded.
“I know right?”
“I'll be careful Reid, and this is a little secret between us;Zayn mustn't find out about this conversation” 
“No no. I can't do that to him, Flora, you can't imagine how unpleasant he is now” His voice croaked, and I sniffed back my tears.
“Please, Reid, I know you can do it,” I plea.
“I want to do this”
I heard him breathe out heavily.
I wiped my tears, I know he can't say no to me.
“Please take care of Zayn, talk to you later,” I hung up and exhaled loudly.
I'm deeply sorry, Zayn.
Someone suddenly yanked the door open, and I looked up to see Violet standing in the doorway, fuming.
My eyes dilated in shock. What?
“How dare you?” She thundered as she marched into the room.
Well… I guess she heard everything.
So, there's no need of pretending to her.
Such a brat. 
I stood up from the bed and turned to her squarely. “Are you really mannerless, or you left some behind?” I asked her with my hands entwined on my chest, taking a few steps forward. Her eyes widened.
“How could you butt into my room without knocking?” I growled at her. “F·ck your gut girl” She raised her hand and slapped me very hard across my cheek.
I tilted my head to one side, with my hand glued to my burning cheek. That hurts.
“How could you deceive Ryder? Huh!” She bickered. “You're nothing but a little creep”
I sighed and turned to face her again.
“Try it one more time and believe me, City Hospital would reject you” I threatened, my jawline tightened. She huffs and shook her head. “You've grown a lot, isn't it?” She snorted, taking a step forward.
“I'm saying everything to Ryder, and he's going to send you out,” She yelled.
I laughed, ironically.
“You're so dumb,” I told her after my short laugh. “And you think he's going to believe you?” I sneered and I watch as her jaw dropped. She held her gaze on my face, which I also kept with a smirk lingering on my lips. “Flora” I heard Ryder's voice.
I averted my gaze to the door and saw Ryder walking to our form. Damn!
“What are you doing here, Violet?” Ryder asked her, immediately she turned to look at him. She rolled her eyes and walked closer to Ryder. “What I'm doing here doesn't matter right now” She told Ryder,, but I just maintained my grim expression.
Ryder glances at me and I looked away.
“Ryder, this girl standing here is in her right senses. She doesn't lose her memory,” She flip her hair backward and turned to me.
“Your game is up, young lady.”
"What are you trying to say, Violet?” Ryder cut in. “I heard all what she conversed with someone over the phone, she said she was only fooling you Ryder” She further explained, blinking her eyes like she's going to cry. Fool!
Ryder counted his steps closer to me.
He stood in front of me,, but I was not looking at him. “She's creepy,” Violet says.
“Is it true?” Ryder asked lowly.
I turned my deaf ears, like he's not talking to me. “Answer the damn question!” He yelled and I stiffened with fear.
I let out my tears as I slowly turned to look at him. “Ryder…” My voice hitched.
He stares at me for a while and slowly held my cheek. “Who did this to you?” He scowled.

I am winning this.
"Violet," I replied, weeping quietly.
“She even threatened to chase me out of this house because I corrected her for barging into my room,” I quickly added, staring at my flip-flops in my feet. “Are you crazy?!” Violet exclaimed. “You're the crazy one here Violet” Ryder flared, turning his back against me, to face Violet. “How could… How could you lay your filthy hands on her? He thundered, and I saw Violet cowered.
“Listen Ryder…” Violet tried to say something.
“Just shut it and get out of my house this minute,” He says at the top of his voice.
I lifted my head and saw Violet gawking at me. I shot her a lopsided grin while fixing my hair behind my ear. “You're going to regret this,” She pointed a finger at me.
She shot Ryder a hard glare before marching out of my room.
Stupid thing.
Ryder exhales and turned to face me.
“I'm so sorry about that,” He apologized in his normal voice, walking back to my form.
I shake my head and wiped off my fake tears.
“It's not your fault, I understand her,” I smile.
He collected his handkerchief from his trouser pocket. “You understand what?” He asked, cleaning my tears with his handkerchief. “She's your girlfriend, so it's expected of her to act like that,” I collected the handkerchief from him and settled on the bed.
He laughs as he also sat next to me and I shrug. He stares at me cheek.
“Should I get you an ice bag?” He asked, remorseful. “I'm fine, Ryder” I assured.
We both remain silent for a while before I heard him talk.
“Violet is not my girlfriend, she's just a friend,” He corrected, lying flat in my bed.
“Ryder” I called, leaning on my elbow.
He looked at me and raised his brows.
“I want to know everything about you, absolutely everything without hiding anything,” I told him. I watch as confusion crept up on his face. I nodded as we both stared at each other.
