Ryder POV
I carefully placed her on the back seat in my car. She's still unconscious, and I do not want her to wake before we would leave, that won't be easy.
Yeah.
I've made all the arrangements for our flight, which is tonight. I need to leave this country with Flora, as time goes by she would definitely forgive me.
I hoped into the car and shut the side door, I ignited the engine and zoomed out of the compound.
As I speed on the road, I kept glancing at Flora from the front mirror, at any slight opportunity. Her hair is ruffled and some of it are gelled to her forehead.
She still looks pretty.
I'm sorry for doing this to you, Flora, but I have to.
All of a sudden, the car engine turned off.
Huh?
I started it again, but it was not coming to life, instead it's giving a shrilling sound.
Damn!
“Not this night of all nights you fool” I yelled silently through clench teeth.
I opened the door and marched towards the bonnet; I pulled it open and the heat flame up immediately.
“F**k” I grunt.
I stepped back a little as I watch it heat up.
 David POV
This ain't funny anymore.
Why would Dad want to have Flora so bad? I soliloquies, driving slowly on the highway.
It's not as if they'd an unfinished business though, What am I even saying, they never had any business.
Jeez!
I wonder what will be my excuse to Dad tonight again. I ran a hand through my hair.
And that Di*khead, Ryder.
He's bent on not picking my calls.  Fool.
A guy waves his hand to the road, 
probably in need of a help.
I'm not in the mood now.
I drove past him, but something gripped my attention-I don't know, perhaps it's what that has been on my mind lately, but the person looks so much like Ryder.
I reversed a little and halted.
He rushed to me before I could even open the door. I opened the door.
And with the help of the streetlight, I could see the person clearly, and our mouth both fell agape. Huh?
It's really Ryder.
What's he doing here?
“It's you,” he says.
I nodded and closed the door.
“What are you doing here by this time?” I asked. He ruffles his hair.
“I need to be in the airport in the next forty-five minutes, David, could you lend me your car?” He rushed his words like he's really in a haste.
I arched my brows at him and walk towards his car, which was parking right behind mine.
He followed in step, “Will you lend me or not?” He half yelled, I tilted my head back to look at him. “I've been trying to reach Sage, so he can bring another car, but his line is unavailable, and it's… It's urgent,” his voice wavers, and it got me wondering what the situation might be.
“Hm mm… Let me just see what I can do, how do you want me to get home as well if I give you my key?” I asked him.
 
He huffs. “I'm still your boss, David,” He reminded sternly, and it caused me to laugh.
“Are you being serious Ryder?” 
“I mean after telling you who my father is, you still address yourself as the boss?” I told him bluntly, and I watched as his eyes dim.
Yeah,
Whatever. “You?”
“Well… I'll help you, you were once my boss, right?” I chuckled softly and continued walking towards his car.
“Don't move near my car, you scum,” He bellowed as he ran past me, standing in my way.
I smiled and shook my head.
“ I'm just trying to help, nothing more… Boss” I drawled the last word and made to walk past him but to my surprise, he dragged me back by hoodie. “I told you I don't need your help” He flares and I frown. Is he okay?
“Now, get out of my sight,” He added, panting heavily.
Okay…
There's more to this, Ryder is obviously hiding something and I must find out.
He glares hard at me.
 I raise my hands in surrender and smile at his wild face. “I'll leave,” I announced.
I turned around and pretended like I was walking away, I glanced back, and he's not watching my back.
Good.
I ran towards his car, he ran after me, but I didn't stop, I got to his car and opened the passenger seat but no one was there.
“How dare you?” He kicked my leg very hard.
“Argh!” I groaned as I steady my steps, not wanting to fall. “How could you open my car? You snitch” He grunts and made to kick me again, but I was quick to dodge it which caused him to fall flat on the ground.
I laughed mischievously and quickly opened the back seat door before he can stand again;and there I saw someone lying on the seat, and telling from the figure it's a female. 
The light dim into the car.
I leaned forward to see the lady, holding the passenger seat to steady myself. 
A gasp escaped from my mouth. What?
“You'll never listen, huh?” Ryder pulled me out roughly, and I sent him two blinding blows to his face, making him staggered backward. “What do you think you're doing?” I scolded. “Fleeing with Flora?” 
I counted my steps towards him, he's yet to regain his sight. “I see… No wonder you stop picking my calls, huh!” I smirked and shake my head sideways.
“Well… You just made my job much easier, Ryder,” I told him, taking a step closer to the car. “What do… You mean?” His voice croaked.
“I'm taking Flora away with me,” I smile.
His eyes dilated. “You dare not, David” He roared, blinking his eyes.
“Try to stop me, and you shall go blind immediately,” I threatened seriously.
“I promise” I added and his face softened.
“Good boy” I made a thumb up and laugh.
I carried Flora in my arms.
Men! She has added a lot.
I turned around to walk away. “You'll regret this, David” He shouted behind me.
“Just let me take care of my eyes first, I promise, I'll send you to early grave” He rasped, but I just laugh.
“Bye boss” I looked back and say to him.
He stamped his foot in anger and scream.
“David!!”
