Cheska looked around. “Errr… lovers? What lovers?” Were they thinking that she and Carter were lovers? Does that mean that this was meant only for lovers? She backed away. “N-no. You must be mistaken. W-We are here to look around and…” Carter put his arm on her shoulder. He didn’t let her get away. “My girlfriend is shy. Of course, we are joining you. We really need this program on how to have a deeper relationship with your lover.” He read what was written on the tarpaulin next to him. He said the word lover like a caress to her skin. Lover. There wouldn’t be a problem if he really was her lover. She was still a virgin. She didn’t even have a proper kiss yet. What was he trying to do? They were a fraud. "Introduce yourselves," said Damon, the name of the host. She was having second thoughts if she wanted to tell the people here about her real name. "She's Cheska and I'm Carter from the Philippines," Carter introduced her. He must have noticed her hesitation. "How long have you been together?" the host asked. "Just yesterday," Cheska replied. "Six years," was Carter’s answer. She gave him a warning look. What was he thinking? Carter laughed. “We’ve known each other for six years via chat. We’ve only seen each other yesterday when she came here to Korea to spend some time with me.” “Oh! A long-distance relationship,” said the redhead woman next to a Korean. "Just like us." “Now, this is interesting. This program can help you a lot, I assure you,” Damon said. One of the event organizers seated them at one of the low tables. "Why did you drag me here?" she asked Carter in a low voice. “It's my first time going to this kind of event. I never had a lover.” "Are you still a virgin?" she suddenly asked. Carter’s eyes widened in surprise. “Sorry. What I mean is… ” She really didn’t mean to pry on his sex life. It was none of her business. “I'm just curious what couples do in this program. I am sure, you’re curious as well. And it's free.” They were served with tea and heart-shaped cookies by a staff. Carter thanked the staff and grinned at Cheska. “Free food too. Who am I to say no to this?” He bit on his cookies and moaned while chewing. "This is good." He took another cookie and brought it to her mouth. “Try it. Lovers, you know? They are watching us.” She forced a smile and let him feed her. And he was looking at her as if he also wanted to taste her. She didn’t know if it was an act but it was really affecting her to the core. He didn’t just make her heart beat faster. It made her feminine parts tingle as if he was trying to seduce her. How could eating heart-shaped cookies be so erotic? "You have some crumbs here," he said and wiped the side of her lips with his finger. He was about to pull away when she caught his finger. She held on to his wrist and licked the crumbs from his finger. He held his breath. He had this shocked look on his face. Then his eyes became black orbs. As if she transformed from a mouse to a vixen right before his eyes. And he wanted her. Cheska doesn’t know where she got the courage to do what she just did. She had never been brazen. She was not forte to seduce the man. She didn’t know what came over her but she loved it. "They are watching," he muttered before sipping the hot tea. There was a warning in his eyes and as she also drank her tea. It felt naughty to break the rules and get away with them. Two could play this game. He put her into this situation so she would just enjoy this little play of them. The host caught their attention again. He was giving instructions for the next activity. Cheska was frowning because she couldn’t understand the Korean words the host was saying. "What did he say?" she asked Carter. "He said we should write down what we feel about each other. A poem or a letter for each other. ” “What?! But I don’t know Korean. Let's just leave.” She stood up suddenly. "I can't do this anymore." "Is there a problem?" Damon asked. "She doesn't speak Korean," Carter replied. “It is okay. Just express yourself in whatever language you are comfortable with. It is best to express your feelings that way. Love is a universal language. Just feel it,” said the host and waved his hand as if he was pulling something off his chest. “Tell him how you feel about him - if you are happy with your relationship and you are sad. This is essential in any relationship. Be true.” Cheska had no choice but to go back to her seat. It would be too rude to leave now. "So, what should I say about you?" "That I’m handsome." “You’re really shameless, aren’t you?” She was grinning. “My handsomeness is all that I got, and I can’t even be proud of it? It’s okay not to call me handsome if your conscience can bear to lie.” She sighed. "Let's just write." His eyes suddenly looked sad. "But if you don’t have anything to write about me, just write something about the man you love." "For Doc Darryl?" she asked. He nodded slowly. “I’m sure you have a lot of things you must have wanted to tell him before he left this world. Maybe this is your chance to pour out your feelings. Just imagine that I was him.”
