When Wyatt came back we hung out with Gavin and Thena for a while before going to our new hotel room with Gael. We're laying on our bed to rest. Wyatt got an executive room.
"Mama. Does Tita Cassi talk to you about Dad? Are they fighting?" Gael asked as he hugged me. I looked at Wyatt who looked shocked from what he heard.
"What made you think that they're fighting?" Wyatt asked him as he gently patted Gael's head. "They might just be talking about a serious thing."
"I often see Tita Cassi crying and Dad often comes home late. They aren't like that before." He said and he sounded so curious. "I'm concerned about them. Tita Cassi is like my own mom."
"Did you ask why Tita Cassi is crying?" I asked him and he nodded. "Do you know why your Dad often comes home late?"
"I did. I asked Tita if she's okay and she said she's fine. I asked Dad and he said that he's busy running the company." He answered me and sighed.
"Iyon naman pala, Gael. Maybe they aren't fighting." Wyatt said to him. "Do you want us to make sure? Mama and I will talk to them."
"Yes, Papa. Thank you." Gael thanked him then yawned. "Can you tell me a story, Papa?"
"Of course." Wyatt answered him and started telling a story until Gael fell asleep. "They shouldn't have let the kid see that they aren't okay. We should talk to them."
"Do you think that they aren't okay?" I asked and he nodded. "I don't agree. Cassi isn't reaching out to me. She usually talks to me when they fight."
"Maybe she didn't want to disturb you so she didn't call this time?" He asked so I shook my head. It seems impossible.
"No, love. Cassi didn't call or text me a single thing. She doesn't care if I'm busy or not. There was even a time when she even called when I was in OR." I disagreed with him and was about to speak when we heard a knock. "Can you open the door, love? Thank you."
Wyatt opened the door and I waited for him to come back but he didn't come back and instead Cassi entered our room. "He's asleep. Good afternoon, Reese."
"Good afternoon. Sit down, Cassi. Let's talk." I said to her and she did.
"Grabe kayo ni Chase ha. Kakarating lang namin tapos ganyan salubong n'yo." She said and chuckled. "So, what is it?"
"Did you and my twin fight?" I asked and she shook his head. "Then why are you crying?"
"Because of crying spells." She answered me and chuckled. "Did Gael talk to you guys about this?"
"Yeah. He seems very concerned. You guys should explain to him to clear his mind. I bet he thinks about it a lot." I said to her and she nodded. "What causes your crying spells?"
"Is Gael asleep? I don't want to ruin our surprise for him. He's been talking about it since we told him our relationship." She said, which made my eyes widen.
"You're pregnant?" I asked her and she nodded and chuckled. "Oh my gosh. Congratulations, Cassidy." I was whispering as I tried to contain my emotions since Gael was hugging me.
"How can you guess that so easily?" She asked,
"Gael said it to me. He's also asking me when he's going to have his siblings from me and Wyatt." I said to her and chuckled. "I guess he really wants it."
"Speaking of it. When do you guys plan to have kids? You guys are 31." She said, which made me roll my eyes because she's talking like she isn't 31.
"Next year, Cassidy." I answered her and she nodded.
"Anyway, his mom wants to meet him." She said and sighed. "I'm concerned for him. He's quite aware of what happened to Grant and his mother. He said to me that he doesn't like to meet his mom."
"What did Grant say about this matter?" I asked him and she shrugged her shoulders. "You and Grant should talk to him about this soon. So he can prepare. If he wasn't really fond of the idea, bring him to me. Wyatt and I will talk to him."
"Grace. Can you talk to my son?" Grant asked as they entered our room. "Cassi and I won't be able to persuade him about meeting his mom."
"Alright. I'll talk to him later." I said to him and he thanked me. "But can you tell me why Gael knew what his mother did to you?"
"He heard us talking about it. We didn't know that he's still awake since it's very late." Grant answered me and sighed. "We don't have plans on letting him know about it since we don't want him to think bad about his mother."
"What does his mother want now?" I asked and they sighed. "What is it?"
"She wants co-parenting." Cassi answered me. "She went to court for this. The judge will talk to Gael soon but we want him to talk to his mother first."
"Then we'll make him talk to his mother. And if he doesn't want his mother then tell him to tell the judge his honest feelings." Wyatt said and sighed.
"Mama, Tita Cassi is my mother, not someone I don't know." Gael said which made me look down at him. He's awake. "I already have two moms. I don't need her." He said as we both sat down.
"Gael, she's still your mom. She gave birth to you." Grant said and Gael sighed. "Don't you want to meet her? Believe it or not she loves you."
"No, Dad. Meeting her won't do anything. I'm already fine with my life. I have two moms. I have two dads. And I have a happy family. I don't care if she loves me. Your love is enough for me." Gael said which made me sighed. "Tell her that I don't want to meet her, Dad."
"Gael. Can you meet your mom for once? He really wants to see you. And don't you want it? You'll get a chance to meet her." Cassi said to him and he shook his head. "What's the reason for not wanting to meet him?"
"I'm already 8, Tita. She could've met me sooner, I was waiting for her to meet me as Dad said that she'll meet me soon whenever I ask him. And now that I don't expect her anymore she'll suddenly just show up? I don't want to meet her anymore." He said full of conviction.
"Don't you really want to meet your mother even once?" I asked him and he nodded. "Baby, that's not how the four of us raised you. You should meet your mother, she may be a good person."
"She's not, Mama. She cheated on Dad." He said and Grant sighed. "I didn't have a complete family because of her. It's good that Tita Cassi was always by my side so I didn't get bullied for not having a mom."
"Baby, don't you think you're being too harsh to her? You can meet her once and if you really don't like her then you can decide not to." Wyatt said to him, "Besides you aren't meeting her alone. Your Dad and Tita Cassi will be with you."
That whole afternoon the four of us tried to convince Gael to meet his mother but none of us succeeded.
"His mother is also in Boracay. She wants to meet her tonight." Grant said and sighed. Gael is playing with Belle so he isn't here.
"Gavin." I heard Wyatt called Gavin which made me look at him. "What? Will be there." He said and dropped the call. "A girl approached Gael. She tried to take him with her. It's good that Thena saw it. We should go." He said and the panicked crawled on my skin. The four of us ran in panic and the elevator ride felt forever.
"Gael!" Cassi called Gael who's crying and hugged him as soon as we arrived. "Stop crying. Tita is here already."
"Thena, stop it already." I said to her when I got beside her. She's fighting with a girl.
"No Reese. She can't just take Gael away like that even though she's his mother." She said to me before looking at the girl. "You didn't give anything to the kid and now you gave him trauma, Ivy! For God sake, you didn't do anything good to the kid. Leave him alone!"
"What did you do, Ivy? I told you to fucking wait." Grant said to her. I look at him and he looks very mad before Wyatt dragged me away. "What did you fucking do to my son?" I heard Grant shout, which made me look back.
"Love, stay here with Cassi and the kids. Gavin and I will handle them." Wyatt said and kissed my temple before going back to where Grant is standing.
"Gael, stop crying. She won't get you. We're already here." Cassi said to him as he continued to cry.
"Cassi, don't panic. I'll handle him." I said and carried Gael. "Let's go inside. It's not good for the kids to hear them."
Thena went with us. We stayed in our room as we tried to make Gael calm down. "Tita, he loves chocolate. He may stop crying if you give him one." Belle said as she gave me a chocolate bar.
"Thank you, Belle. But you're the one who should give him the chocolate." I said as I gave her back the chocolate and smiled at her. "It's fine, Belle. You can go near him." I said and she did give him the chocolate but it's no use. "Gael, baby. It's not going to happen again. Stop crying."
"Mom, no. I want her in prison. I won't let her meet Gael even if she begged." I heard Grant shouting which made me go out of the room and close the door. "Mom, I already agreed with her. Why did she do that? She gave Gael trauma."
"Grant, calm down. The best thing for you to do is to calm down and go to Gael. We can't calm him down." I said to him and he seems to realize what he's doing. "Talk to him, Grant. I think you're the only one who can talk to him."
Grant did talk to Gael in our room with Cassi. I was walking back and forth when I suddenly got dizzy and got out of balance. "You should just sit, love." Wyatt said as he carried me. "We haven't eaten dinner. Are you hungry?"
"I don't have an appetite, love." I said and he glared at me. "We can eat later."
The incident caused chaos in my family since mom was too kind and Grant wasn't listening to anyone but it's fine since Grant won though Gael's mother wasn't in prison, she got a restraining order.
The next day we celebrated Tita's birthday, which was extended until the next day because they said that one day isn't enough.
The third day we didn't really do anything and just rested since we'll be flying back to Manila at midnight since we have work the next day.
"Welcome back." Pia greeted us which made me chuckle. We're currently walking to the ER. We got heads up that there's an emergency and we are needed.
"Graciella." Wyatt called me then he walked beside me. "We'll eat lunch together."
"I won't eat lunch. I have surgery at 1 pm." I said and shook my head. "You can eat with your team."
"I'll see you at your office." He said before going a different way.
"Eat with him. You need to eat hindi yung puro trabaho." Pia said, which made me chuckle. "You want to be a mother Reese so take care of your body."
"Alright. I'll eat with Wyatt." I said to her then look at my watch. "Goodluck, Dr. Sinclair." I said to her as we entered the emergency room.
