As weeks went by I noticed that I'm experiencing a lot of pregnancy symptoms so I decided to buy a pregnancy test and took a test that came back positive which made me sighed. I'm happy but I'm thinking on how I'll say it to Wyatt.
"Love, are you there?" I heard Wyatt so I put the pregnancy test in my white coat and got out of my bathroom and faced him with a smile. "Are you okay?" He asked as he reached my face and wiped a tear. "Why are you crying?"
"Nothing, love." I said and hugged him. "Are we going home? I want to rest already." I broke the hug and removed my white gown.
We did go home and all I did at home was to sleep before we went to work again. The next day I called my secretary to clear my schedule 2 weeks from now and ask the patients that were scheduled for that week to reschedule earlier or after that week since I've decided to go to California. I needed to think so I filed for leave.
The consequence of it is my schedule for this week and next week are full, which I'm sure Wyatt will find suspicious. For two weeks I barely went home but so did Wyatt. He also seems busy, busier than me.
"Did you and Wyatt fight?" Jaxon asked when he peeked in my office. "You guys barely talk or see each other."
"We're both busy, Jaxon." I said to him and he didn't seem satisfied. "Both of us have a lot of surgeries. We didn't fight. You can ask your friend."
"Love, let's go." Wyatt said so I stood up and went out. We have a co-surgery. "What are you doing here, Jaxon?"
"Asking if you guys are okay." Jaxon answered him and Wyatt chuckled.
"We're fine, just very busy." Wyatt said to him then held my hand and dragged me with him.
We performed the surgery together and it was successful. I proceeded with my last surgery and it was also successful. I stayed at my office writing reports and when I finished it I went to Wyatt's office to wait for him. I felt nauseous so I ran to his sink and vomited there. "I'm sorry, love. Continue your work." I said to him when I saw him looking at me.
"Here's the water. I'll finish this quickly so we can go home and you can rest." He said so I nodded and got the water before he went back to doing his work. I stayed on the sofa as I hugged my stomach. "Do your stomach hurt, love?" Wyatt asked so I quickly removed it and shook my head.
After his work we went out of the hospital and ate somewhere before going home.
"Do you have something to say to me, love?" Wyatt asked as he lay beside me so I shook my head and closed my eyes. "Are you sure?"
"Actually I do." I said and opened my eyes. "I love you a lot, love." I said and he chuckled. "I'm telling the truth."
"Yeah, you are." He said and continued chuckling. "You should sleep. Maaga ka pa bukas." He said so I nodded and closed my eyes. He hugged me until I fell asleep.
I woke up around 4 and took a shower. Wyatt was still asleep. Today is my flight to California so I need to prepare. I got my hand bag where my passport and wallet is before leaving the room. I didn't check Wyatt anymore because he might wake up but he's under our blanket so I know he's still in his deep sleep.
When I was in the main door I shouted when I saw Wyatt standing outside. "I caught you. Go back inside." He said so I did. "Where's your things?"
"What do you mean?" I asked him innocently. "I thought you're still sleeping."
"I'm asking where's your things, Graciella." He said which made me look up to him and I felt my tears falling down to my cheeks, which I quickly wiped. "Why are you crying, love? I'm just asking where's your luggage since we'll be late for our flight."
"Our flight? Where are you going?" I asked him and he answered 'California'. "How did you know that I'm going to california?"
"Love, don't you think that Grant wouldn't ask me if we fight because you're going there for a week all of the sudden? Then your sudden change of schedule. Are you running away?" He asked seriously so I shook my head. "So what's the problem? Do we have a problem? Are we fine?"
"We're fine, love." I said as tears rolled down on my cheeks. "We're very fine."
"Then why are you running away? Do you want me to stop the wedding? Or do something to delay the wedding?" He asked so I shook my head. "So you're just going to have a vacation without telling me?"
"Yes." I answered him as I continued to wipe my tears and he chuckled all of the sudden! "You're not mad at me?"
"Of course not. Stop crying already and we should go since it looks like you don't have any luggage. The good thing is I packed you some clothes." He said and carried me. "I'm going with you. Is that fine?"
"Yeah, I guess." I answered and he chuckled. "May magagawa pa ba ako, Wyatt? You're been busier than me for the last few weeks. You deserve a vacation." I said and held his nape. "I love you." I said and kissed him. He was carrying me until we got out of our building. "Where are we going to ride?" My question was answered when I saw Jaxon's car.
"Ang tagal n'yo. Inaantok na si Pia." Jaxon said when we entered his car. He drove us to the airport then they bid us goodbye. "Take care, Reese. Don't stress yourself too much. Call me when Wyatt does something."
Wyatt and I were quiet the whole flight. I was in a deep thought on how I would tell Wyatt about my pregnancy. "Care to share your thoughts?"
"Fuck pregnancies." I uttered when I got startled by him and he chuckled. "I'm sorry, love."
"So you've been thinking about pregnancy huh. You want to be a mother that bad?" He asked so I shook my head. "You should accept less patients for the up-coming months and pass me some of your patients for this month if you're tired."
"It's fine, Wyatt. I can handle my patients. I don't have to pass it to you. You have a bunch of patients." I said to him and shook my head. "You should rest when we get to Grant's house. You seem restless."
"You're the one who needs rest. You look so stressed." He said which made me chuckle. "I'm telling the truth, love. And the fact that you're very exhausted for 2 weeks makes me worried that you might collapse anytime." He said and sighed.
Grant fetched us and when we got to his house we went straight to our room to sleep and believe me or not I slept 24 hours straight and woke up around 5 in the afternoon so I was so hungry.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked Wyatt and he shrugged his head.
"I woke you up for dinner, breakfast, and lunch but you didn't wake up so I let you." He said, which made me sighed. "You became a heavy sleeper, love."
"I'm just so tired, love." I said to him and hugged him. "I'm so hungry." I said and broke the hug.
"I cooked carbonara." He said, which made me shake my head. "You don't want it."
"I love it but not how salty it is." I said and he chuckled as he put a plate of carbonara in front of me. This used to be my go-to food whenever I missed lunch or dinner. He always buys but now he always makes it. "I'll taste it." I said and it wasn't salty anymore so I started eating.
Cassi also ate carbonara and she just took a bite and looked at me. "How can you eat it? Ang tabang." She said to me, which made me look at Wyatt. "You didn't taste this, Chase?"
"Who even told you to eat that? That's for Graciella. If you want, go get the one in another pot." He said to Cassi and she did so I tasted the one for them and it's salty. "Stick to your food, Gracie."
"Why does that taste salty?" I asked him and he shrugged his shoulders. "Love, can we go to a grocery store? Let's buy food."
"Is our food not enough for you? We bought everything that you like yesterday." Cassi said, "did you see our pantry?"
"She doesn't like dark chocolate that much. We'll check your pantry before we go to the supermarket." Wyatt said to her and she nodded.
After eating we went back to our room and I ended up falling asleep again then when I woke up it's already 12 am. "Love, I want some pineapple with chocolate." I said to Wyatt who woke up because of me.
"Pineapple with chocolate?" He asked so I nodded.
"Yes and red wine." I said and he shook his head.
"I can give you a pineapple with chocolate but not red wine, Graciella." He said and there goes my freaking tears again. "Don't cry, love." He said and sighed.
"I want a red wine too." I said and he sighed before standing up.
"Just one glass." He said so I nodded then watched him walk away. When he came back he was holding a plate with pineapple and chocolate then a wine glass. "Is this fine with you?"
"Yeah. Thank you, love." I said and got it from his hands. I ate it happily and he just watched me. "Do you want some, love?" I asked and he nodded then got the wine. He drank all of it! "Love, wala pa akong naiinom."
"You can drink some water or I'll go get you a grape juice." He said which made me sighed but didn't talk and just continued eating my pineapples. "Love, do you want grape juice or water?"
"I want red wine, Chastille." I said and he shook his head before leaving the room. He came back with a glass of water. "Why won't you give me some wine?"
"I just don't want to. You should sleep. We'll go to the supermarket tomorrow so you can buy anything you want." He said but of course that didn't happen the next day because all I did was sleep. That lasted for several days and now I woke up early so we went to the supermarket. "Buy everything you want. We can't go back here tomorrow because we're going home."
"I'll surely buy everything I want because I have money with me." I said and he shook his head. "It's my food. I'll be paying for it."
"It's for my wife so I'll be paying for it." He said and rolled his eyes. "Why are you getting a pregnancy test stick?"
"I wanted to make sure. The last time I took a test it's positive." I said to him and he put the pregnancy test back. "I need it, love."
"Oh come on, Graciella. Don't fool yourself like you don't know you're pregnant." He said, which made me pouted. "You should've discussed this with me sooner. You got really tired for the past two weeks. It's good that nothing happened to you and to our baby."
"Love, I always take my pills I promise." I said to him and he chuckled. "I didn't miss a day so I didn't know why I'm pregnant that's why I hid it from you."
"I'm sorry. It's my fault." He said which made me look at him curiously. "You said that you want a shocking gift and you really want to be a mother so I'm planning to get you pregnant without your acknowledgement and I want you to know at your bridal shower but I got you pregnant earlier than planned." He said and scratched his head while I chuckled.
"How did you make that possible? I'm taking my pills everyday." I said and he shook his head.
"You're taking your vitamins everyday. Didn't you notice how I always remind you to take your vitamins." He said which made me realise that I'm not taking any vitamins! "Now, you're going to take vitamins after your check up next week."
