"I'm supposed to tell you sooner, but I'm also considering the grief you've been through." He continued, still hesitating if he will be able to convince her.
A moment of silence. Rue didn't say a word and fall into a deep thought.
'Am I ready?' She asked to herself. Thinking about the life that's waiting for her when she come home and if the three years that she has been in the mortal world is already enough for her freedom. Compared to the hundred years that she's going to spend while being controlled.
Right from the start, she's already aware that this will be her fate for the rest of her infinity life. But she thought that as long as she have reasons, she could change it. At first she just want the feeling of freedom, and upon on her journey from running away, she met new person that became her new reason to stay.
But now, he's gone.
When he noticed her sudden silence, he signify it as a negative response. "I'll just say that you're stillㅡ"
"When can I go home?" She interrupted without looking at him. Her mind and body already recovering from the sudden news.
He stared at her with surprise eyes.
He couldn't tell whether she's really okay with it or not. He's expecting that she would throw a tantrums and will not agree to return home.
She rolled her eyes at him. "Don't look at me like that." She said, already know what he's thinking.
'If Gino is still alive, it will be hard for me to make decision.' She said on her mind.
"Are you sure?" He asked, still couldn't believe what she said.
Her eyebrows meet in the middle. "Do you want me to change my mind?" She asked in confusion.
"That's not what I meant." He chuckled as he recovers from astonishment.
She just rolled her eyes and look away, she's staring again at the reflection of the bright moon.
"He told me to bring you before dawn last day..." He paused, also looking at the surroundings.
Rue just remained silent, waiting for his words.
"And now, we are here." He said with a serious voice.
"We can go there right away." She straightforwardly without having a second thought.
Atreus once again took a glance at her. Right now, he couldn't read what's on her mind. With her blunt yet sincere words.
"How about Althea?" He asked, reminding her that they still have a companion when they got here.
Rue suddenly remembered Althea's bright face. And the memories with her, while being here in the mortal world.
"I'll just leave a letter for her." She replied. She can't imagine saying a goodbye with her in person, she might change her mind.
"Just a letter?" His voice sounded worried. He's thinking that it's somewhat cruel way of saying farewell in just leaving a message.
"It will be hard for the both of us if we talk about this personally." She explained while looking at her feet with a faint smile on her lips.
When he hears her explanation, he realized that it did make sense. It's the best option for this kind of situation.
Rue noticed his silence. "Are you worried about her?" She asked without looking at him.
"Me? Worried?" He laughed. "I don't grow special feelings for mortal." From being serious earlier, he's now back again to his playful side.
Rue just rolled her eyes whit his arrogant statement.
After they had a talk, Rue didn't waste a time and prepared to leave. She wore her necklace and the ring. And as she plan, she wrote a farewell letter for Althea. She mentioned on the letter that she's going far away and not sure if she will be able to come back.
Using Atreus teleportation power, they immediately arrived at the castle's gate with just a speed of time. They can't enter the castle by teleportation because the gate is blocking all the kind of power from the outside, it's to prevent an outsider to come in without entering from the entrance.
When the guards saw their arrival, they immediately open it for them. As they're entering the gate, the guard's head are facing the ground.
On the other hand, one of the servant delivered the notice of their arrival to the leader of the castle. A man told the servant to prepare the meeting room and he want to meet them.
"Your arrival is in the great timing." The man said with a baritone voice and intimidating aura that's filling the whole room. He's sitting on the single luxurious sofa. 
Rue didn't respond, she's sitting beside the long couch. While Atreus sitting beside her, also didn't say a word because he knows that he's talking to her.
The man couldn't read her mind since she block it. Vampires who have an ability of reading minds can also puts a shield from other vampires who have the same power.
"How's the vacation?" The man added when he didn't get a response from her.
"I enjoy my freedom very well." Rue simply replied with a plain voice, she leaned her back on the couch.
The man's expression frowned for a second, they're staring at each other and there's a strong tension between them that can be felt through the atmosphere.
He is her father, Luciano Genovese. He couldn't believe that his composed daughter will be this blunt just after 3 years.
"Is that what you learned from your reckless behavior?" He outraged, his eyes are visible of anger.
"Honey, calm down. She just need some rest." A woman speaks with a smile, she's sitting in front of her.
She's her stepmother, beside her is her step brother. And as far as she remembered, they're not that nice to her.
After her mother died, her father married his mistress and they had a child with the help of moon goddess. She feels like an outcast because her father is not giving the same attention to her over them.
"Thank you for looking at our daughter." Her stepmother suddenly uttered, while looking at Atreus.
She just mentally rolled her eyes. Since she have no guess what she's up to. She can't also read her mind ever since she's her father's mate.
Atreus smiles at the woman. "It's my pleasure." He uttered. Her stepmother smiles sweetly and her father also thanked him.
"Tomorrow I will be announcing the next leader of our clan." Her father announced when he somehow calms down.
Even she can't read what's going on her half brother's mind, but she can clearly see his small smile on his lips. He's just quietly listening to their conversation.
She just nodded with a bored expression.
"I'm tired, I want to rest." Rue said straightforwardly. She doesn't want to be involve to their conversation anymore because she hates this kind of talk.
"Ruella." She almost roll her eyes when she heard him calling her full name. But somehow she can still manage to hold it.
"What?" She asked with a ceased eyebrows, while looking at him.
"Starting tomorrow, you have to follow all of my orders." Her father said as he looks at her intently.
"For what? I'm not even needed for the event." She said with a firm tone. Now that she's back again to the hell, she won't let them belittle her.
Her stepmother and half brother looks at her with astonishment, while her father clinched his fist.
They are surprised with her boldness, she's different now compared to her composed self that they used to know.
