Today is the day, I left my school bag on my locker and just took my pencil, eraser, ballpen and scratch paper with me before heading towards the classroom.
The seats are now 2 meters away from each other and the other chairs are settled outside the classroom, James and the others are all sitting alphabetically that leaves me to sit on the front row because my surname starts with 'B'.
Ace is on the back while Liz is outside- on the last chair. Sam and Icer are also sitting far away from each other and all of us are just sitting in silence waiting for the bell to ring and for our papers to be distributed.
I look back to see Ace, he smiled almost immediately when our eyes locked together, he mouthed a simple 'good luck' and I mouthed 'you too' back.
When the bell rang everyone fixed their postures, sitting up straight, hands on the lap and eyes on the board as our teacher distributed our papers on our desk.
"Begin" she announced and we all looked down our desk and flipped the paper, unlike other school who takes the exam in one subject at a time, our school distributes different subjects at once.
I have History, how great, thanks to Ace I manage to answer a few questions so easily and had to skip the questions I'm not familiar with and just answer it later on.
The whole day went on until the bell rang once again, indicating that it's lunch time, I dropped my pen and catched my breath, the air conditioner is working and I didn't even run, but I'm sweating too much.
I didn't expect that we'll be answering 500 questions in 2 hours? My eyes followed my paper who was taken by the teacher before looking beside me, Troy was glaring at the board- oopsie maybe he also answered his worst subject this time, I can tell that the others also had that.
"At last, lunch time" Sam stretched her arms.
"We still have 2 more sets later" James sighed and we all stood up.
"It's so hot outside" Liz complained when she entered the room.
"This is more difficult than the previous years" Icer added.
"Chill guys, we're not the top class for nothing, we got this" Ace commented and I nod my head to agree.
"Alright lets get energized everyone!" I clapped my hands.
"Yeah, I think we should. Great work guys" Troy cheered everyone up.
Everyone started to leave the classroom and I ran up to Ace who was fixing his things on his desk.
"Are you joining us?" I asked.
"Of course" He grinned and held my hand as we walk out the room.
Lunch went over all of our friends gathered and seated around the table here in the grand hall, surprisingly no arguements between the 6th and 4th Cards happened.
"Why don't you try wearing skirts so you can relate to how us, girls, feel?" Sam rolled her eyes.
Well technically, Icer has noticed the way how we girls sit on skirts or in shorts and those are different things, because if you're wearing a skirt you need to force yourself to sit properly unlike when you're wearing shorts.
"But you're wearing a safety shorts underneath, you girls look like a statue because of that sitting posture" Icer complained.
"Even so, have you heard of the word 'proper postures'? No? Go read it" Sam swatted her hand to the side, gesturing him to leave.
"Girls are just unique, admit that" Liz butted in and Zen nodded.
"Yeah fine, okay girl power wooh!" Icer said sarcasly making us laugh.
"I'll go get some water" I tap Ace's arm and he simply nod his head before entering their conversation.
After getting my water, my eyebrow raised when our table was suddenly filled with seriousness, I gaze over Sam and Liz who are both curious at the same time, shook.
"... it means Mikayla will be back here" Zen said worriedly.
"Who's Mikayla?" I asked, Ace stiffed and slowly look back at me.
"She's not worth to talk about" he commented and fix my seat so I can sit.
"Ace..." I warned he sighed and look at his friends.
"Can you sit down first?" Icer asked and I slumped down the chair opening my water bottle.
"She's Death's ex-fiancé, the engagement was canceled three years ago- in short he ended the engagement after meeting you" Icer grinned, I rolled my eyes to hide my blushing figure, such plot twist.
"Well, she's just your ex-fiancé, what could go wrong?" I shrugged.
It is wrong, what does she look like? Why is she comming back here? What if she's plotting something up her sleeves? Wooh, I need to calm down for now.
"Why are you so calm?" I blinked trice and turn to Sofia.
"What? Should I panic then?" I asked innocently and they shook their heads.
I took a big gulped of my drink and sighed.
"Besides, it's Ace's decision afterall" I softly mumbled, they frowned.
"Oh come on, it's not like he's gonna replace me or something" I exclaimed.
"Right, no one can replace her" Ace commented.
"Be sure of that" I glared at him and he smiled widely at me.
"I was curse to be with you forever, til death do us part" he qouted earning a few teases from the others.
"Okay enough" I chuckled and look at my wrist watch.
"12 minutes, let's head back" I said then Ace stood up first offering his hand to me and I gladly accepted it.
We accompanied Troy to drop Sofia off with Zen, to our suprise, Liz and Sofia got along very well and their relationship doesn't affect her that much now.
Zen kissed the back of Liz's palm and she blushed lightly before bidding him goodbye. The rest of us headed back to our classroom and waited for the next portion of the examinations to start.
It was 5 in the afternoon when the 1st day of the examinations ended, I slumped my head on my desk. I think I should retire for the day, why am I even suffering this much? We already held a lot of review sessions but the questions are pretty much out of this world.
"Hey Tine, let's go" Sam pulled my arms and I frown while raising my head, she smiled and pulled me up.
"I'm off to rest now, see you tomorrow" Ace messed my hair lightly and the side of my lips rose.
"Me too, take care" I kissed his cheek then he leaned down to kiss my forehead before giving me a hug and left with his friends.
"Looks like you two are already officially dating those two as well?" I asked Sam and Liz while we are on our way back to our building.
"I guess you can say that" Sam muttered shyly.
"Maybe" Liz said lowly, I frowned.
"Okay, Icer and I didn't really brought up about that topic since we're both looking forward to the examinations" Sam scratched her left cheek.
"Also, Zen and I have been dating a lot of times but I haven't got the time to ask him about our current status" Liz sighed deeply.
"That sounds dramatic" I shrugged then they glared at me.
"What? At least you two have your own love lives now, additional to Loraine's dating with Clyde" I shrugged.
"Makes sense" Sam commented, me and Liz giggled then entered the building.
After having our dinner, we all walked upstairs and went to our separate dorms to retire for the day, it's quite early but Annie was already asleep when I got there, well who wouldn't get tired?
I removed my shoes and rested for a while before taking a relaxing bath then changed into my pajamas.
I was brushing my hair in front of the mirror when my mind suddenly recalled our conversation from earlier, Mikayla, by the sound of her name, I don't think that she has a pleasing personality.
Not that I'm judging her tho, but I'm quite nervous when she'll be back here, what if she'll steal Ace away from me? Or even use my friends to black mail me or something in between?
I shook my thoughts away and tossed the brush on the vanity before plopping down my bed, I'm tired and that matter added some stress to my head better get some sleep for tomorrow.
Days passed so quickly and I immediately dropped my pen when the bell rang, finally it's over. I bit my lower lip when my paper was taken away from me.
"Good job everyone, the scores will be released next week, enjoy your weekend" our instrutor said before leaving the room, I smiled in happiness, at least it's over.
I was about to stand up when James suddenly clapped loudly making me flinch- well maybe not just me.
"Congratulations everyone! Let's look froward to the new possible rankings this 1st examinations" he cheered for everyone.
"Yeah, you also worked hard James" one of our classmates smiled.
"Yup, besides, we would really have a hard time now if you guys didn't propose that group study sessions" one followed.
Everyone else also complimented him and he blushed hard, suddenly, Ace clapped his hand catching everyone's attention.
"Since it's now over- everyone to the mall, we're celebrating" he offered and everyone fell silent for a whole minute.
I was about to speak up when Sam and Louanne started to hype up following by the rest of the class making me giggle.
My jaw dropped when we entered the mall, almost everyone is here, crowding the place. I saw Annie's class on one of the boutique's chatting happily while some of them are trying out some clothes.
I pulled James with me and rush to the girls fashion line and made him stand on some open cubicle then the curtain shut, a few moments passed when it opened revealing James wearing a grey long gown and a beach hat.
"Just how dare you?" He glared at me, I chuckled then flashes began to spark making James complain.
"You too?!" He frowned.
"This should be posted on the first page of our year book" Sam laughed and Liz nodded.
James just sighed before walking back inside to change back into his uniform. Ace and I are walking together while chatting with Liz, Sam and Icer when we bumped into Sofia's group.
"Sofia!" I cheered, she giggled.
"Hey guys, have you seen Clyde and Zen?" She asked.
"Oh them? They just kidnapped their girlfriends" Ashlyn butted in our conversation.
"Eh? But Liz was-" Sam stopped mid sentence when we all realize that Liz was now missing on our group then we saw how the two ran away towards the escalator.
"... drag by Zen" I finished.
"Ah those two, Loraine must be tired of getting kidnapped by Clyde too" Sofia sighed.
"Hey Sof" Sofia's eyes glittered when Troy came.
"Hey" she shyly waved.
"Ooh, Troy you should help her enhance her confidence more" Ace smirked and I smack his head.
"Shut up Death, come on, I'll get you sone of your favorite snacks" Troy smiled and held her hand.
"Why thank you" Sofia giggled and they left, the rest of the girls pouted and was about to cry when Joseph's group came in sight.
"Aye ladies, lunch time, my treat" Joseph announced and they all started to cheer.
This is such a mess, but they look so cute together walking by pairs but one is missing obviously, that little Zen took our baby Lizzie away.
Me and Ace quitely separated from the others to have our lunch on a fancy redtaurant, he insisted tho so I couldn't really say no to him.
"I can feel that we're sharing the same spot again" I muttered.
"You're actually improving a lot than me" he smiled, I giggled and slowly brought the spoon to my lips but suddenly I remembered something.
"Ace?" I called, he look up to me without saying anything because his mouth is filled with food.
"I'm just curious," I started off then he gave me a confuse look.
"Go on..." he muffled, is he trying to act cute?
"If you don't mind, how does this Mikayla look like?" I asked, he swallowed down he food and look at me.
"To fill your curiousity, well to be honest, she's pretty- but of course you're more beautiful than her. She's not that smart but she's demanding, ever since we got introduce to each other, we would always prank everyone and manage escape every trouble we made. Not for long when we got engaged because their company was bankrupt and after 3 years, she just changed and I lost interest of her" he said, I frowned.
"I only asked one question" I stated.
"Well I know you'll ask for more information so I told you the entire story, did that fill your curiousity now, babe?" I smirked, I rolled my eyes at him and took a quick sip on my drink.
"So ever since a child you've been such a bully?" I asked and his jaw dropped.
"What the h*ck?! You're suppose to get jealous!" He exclaimed lowly, I smirked.
"Well I don't get jealous too easily, try harder, babe" I winked playfully at him.
"How come I've fallen for a devil like you" he pinched my nose lightly and I giggled.
"Hmm, you just love me too much, how flattering" I joked and he chuckled.
"So you did fall for her back then?" I asked.
"I 'liked' her but it was nothing serious cause we're just kids and maybe because my other cousins were teasing us together" he muttered boredly.
I remained silent, I secretly smiled while shaking my head, he really sound like he doesn't want to see her one bit.
Hearing my silent response to him, he suddenly changed the topic and started throwing up random jokes which just back fired at him.
After having our lunch, we both walked around the mall to find the others. We found them having fun at the 3rd floor, taking pictures and teasing each other.
Liz was also there with Sam, Ace hugged me from behind when we reached their place, Liz smiled at me while Sam raised an eyebrow.
"Where did you two ran off to?" She asked.
"Where's Icer?" Ace asked.
"I asked first Salazar" she frowned.
"We had lunch of course, we were on the restaurant, so I can spend time alone with your friend" Ace answered.
"Ice went to the toilet" Sam shortly answered.
We chatted for a while until Icer came with Pierce and Troy who are both pouting, I just smiled when Icer sprinted to Sam and hugged her.
"You're dating who?" I turn to see Liz, already standing where almost all of the class are gathered, James just smirked and pointed at the girl who was busy eating on the side.
"LOUANNE?!" We all exclaimed and she just smiled and nod her head at us.
"It's not our fault that you're not informed" she giggled before throwing her now empty paper plate on the trash bin and walking over to James.
"Now, who else are in a relationship?" Icer asked and most of them raised their hands.
"Well yeah, we weren't informed too" James scratched his nape and we all laughed.
We took a class picture together as remembrance to put in our year book. After a few more pictures, we separated, me, Louanne, James and Ace are together, we walked over to the studio to get the pictures printed.
We still need to capture more pictures but for now we need to edit the pictures and have it print so we can have less work to do in the future.
We divided the work and we manage to finish it in no time, James and Ace printed the pictures while me and Louanne walked out to get something to drink, we've been working on the pictures for 3 hours and it's kinda tiring.
"I'll buy the drinks, you can get the snacks, I'll meet you back here after" I told Louanne.
"Sure, same food?" She asked and I nod my head then we part ways.
"Can I have 2 chocolate cream chips and 2 dark chocolate with vanilla mix" I told the lady as her companion started to make the order.
I gave her my card and she swiped it on the machine before handing it back to me, I thanked her first before taking a seat on the single couch on the side of the counter to wait for my orderd when my phone suddenly rang.
"Josh, hi" I greeted.
"Congratulations, finally done with the exams huh?" He chuckled.
"Yeah, finally done with it" I agreed to him.
"So, any plans for the day?" He asked.
"Well the whole class just had a little pictorial here in tbe mall and we're currently having it print" I replied.
"I see, we're actually planning to have a party again" she trailed off.
"For what?" I asked.
"Oh, Perri's getting married" he chuckled, my eyes widened as I tried to shut my mouth up.
"Oh my- really? Sheesh that's too bad because I can't come home, I'm having a busy schedule lately, you know 'graduating with the same spot' goal of mine" I sadly said.
"It's okay, we all know that, we just want to let you know about the event and we can just have a facetime with you on the celebration" he said.
"Hell yeah, when is the wedding?" I asked.
"Maybe a couple of month after your gradution and before you enter the military academy" he said.
I'm quite touched that they have planned everything according to my schedule just to celebrate it with me.
"Awe how sweet of you guys, no wonder I love you all so much" I teasingly said then he chuckled.
"You can miss the engagement party but you can't miss the wedding, so that's all I got to say, we love you cousin, talk to you soon" he lovingly said, I'm really getting emotional here.
"Yeah, I love you guys too- tell Perri congrats and I miss you all" I said.
"Will do" he replied before hanging up.
I waited for a couple of minutes more before my name was called, I took the drinks from the counter together with the receipt before walking out the stall.
I meet up with Louanne near the studio, but it looks like James and Ace were done printing the pictures.
"Drinks?/Snacks?" Me and Louanne said at the same time.
We stared at wach other for a moment before laughing. I handed them their drinks and Louanne distributed the food.
We sat on the bench while eating our snacks and chatted the time away, at least we had a lot of things to catch up to since we're all busy for the past week.
"We should get some rest now, you still have time before dinner to do so" I look at my wrist watch.
"Right, we still have tomorrow anyways, let's continue our plans then" Louanne agreed with me.
"Well looks like you ladies desserve it, fine then, good night honey" James kissed Louanne's forehead.
"Good night hon" she giggled while hugging him, I rolled my eyes at them then heard my boyfriend chuckled.
"See you tomorrow babe" I said then he lean down to give me a kiss on the lips.
"See you tomorrow babe, good night" he smiled.
Me and Louanne immediately parted ways with them when we stepped out the mall, I grasp my bag over my shoulder using my other hand while waving my other one to Ace as we parted ways.
On the way to our building Louanne asked me-
"Do you know Mikayla?" She asked.
"Well yeah, the others said that she'll be back here again" I answered.
"Actually she's been crowned as the campus queen during our high school days until the first year but a week after the opening of classes, she drop out of school" she told me.
"Why's that? I mean I don't even know her that time" I asked.
"She's from Class D- the lowest class, I bumped into her once and it was a total accident, she cursed at me like I was a piece of sh*t but good thing James was there to save me- kinda the reason I started liking him" she blushed, I smiled and pat her back.
"James is lucky to have you, you know? Besides, if that girl did come back here, I won't let Ace get taken away from me" I assured her, she smirked and brought her index finger on her lips
"Shh, don't worry, the whole class have your back" she winked playfully at me making me laugh.
"Awe, thanks Louanne" I grinned.
