Silent. Calm. Observant. Yes, that's me while looking at the new girl who just arrived.
The rest of the Core Society members welcomed her warmly but Sofia had it faked, obviously they are doing it for me even if I told them not to.
"Thank you guys" she smiled sweetly at them.
The wind blew her mid elbow length mocha brown hair off her shoulder, exposing her collar bones on her mint green off shoulder dress with a black corset belt showing off her figure plus point for the black five-inched cigarette heels.
Is she gonna study here or endorsing Prada and Chanel? She seems to be a spoiled b*tch to me, I'm not saying brat cause she ain't a kid anymore.
I sighed and left the scene, I have a lot of better things to do than look at her, what does she think about herself? A goddess? Psh, she can fool everyone by her innocent looks but not me.
Instincts are always right and that negayivity comming from her aura right now is 100% legit, I bet to burry myself alive if I'm not telling the truth.
"Uh, Cursetine?"
"What?!" I half yelled as I turn to James who suddenly stood frozen beside me.
I blink a few more times before clearing my throat and set my ballpen down.
"I mean, what is it?" I asked nicely, he gulped before slowly handing me something with his shaking hands.
"I need 10 copies of these, asked Liz on what page when you got there" he handed me a long folder with thick papers inside.
"Sure" I simply said before standing up and made my way towards the library.
Anxious that Mikayla is here, Ace didn't even attend the welcomeing part earlier and texted me that he'll be late on class, I'm sure he wouldn't meet up with her anyways, I trust him.
I was about to enter the library when I got pulled into the corner, before I could even react, a soft pair of lips clashed against mine, I gasped and pushed him away.
"Ace-! What the-!" I scold but he just smirked at me.
"Awe why is my girl gloomy? Did you get a glance of her face?" He asked.
"I did, she came when I stepped over the entrance of the main building" I replied before turning towards the door and pushing it open.
"I told you, I'll just fetch you" he shrugged.
"Whatever Ace" I grinned.
Ace sat on one of the chairs while I went over to find Liz, I saw her and Zen chatting while working on the computers, they look so sweet, let me ruin that.
"Hi Lizzie! Hi, Zen, what page was the activity again?" I interrupted them.
"Oh Tine, it's 45-47. You can take the pages so I can check the rest" she said.
I took the said pages on the folder before giving the rest of the files to her.
"I'll go ahead, thanks for helping me cupcake" Zen kissed her cheek.
"No problem Zenzen" Liz giggled and waved at him.
"Yiee- now that's sweet" I teased, she frowned.
"Tine, finish your work already cause class will be starting anytime soon and your boyfriend is waiting" she reminded me, how dare she?
I groaned and walked over the copy machine to have the pages printed, when I was done I walk back to where Liz was but she was gone so I headed off to fetch Ace, who was too playing on my phone to notice my pressence.
"Babe lets go" I ruffled his hair and kissed his forehead, he smirked and stood up immediately.
"I'll take that" he took the papers on my hand as we walked out the library.
A couple more days before the practice match, and our practice sessions is pulling me off hand to studying, sometimes when my body hit the bed, I fall asleep immediately.
Good thing I have Ace who supplies me a lot of notes, to be honest, he himself have a lot of things to do but he still have time to make those for me.
I really want to make it up to him, but not now, maybe after sports fest? What should I do then? Suprise him for a dinner date like he did to me? Nah, I'll just use the Academy's kitchen to cook something for him- that's it!
"Ace, what's your favorite food?" I asked him.
"Hmm, any japanese meal I suppose, my grandma usually cook some for me and I kinda miss it" he said and froze on his tracks before looking back at me.
"Are you planning something up your sleeves my little devil?" He smirked.
"No? I was just asking tho, I want to cook something for you as a special thanks since you work really hard to take notes for me and for supporting my game" I blushed, he then pulled me into a hug and I immediately wrapped my arms around him.
"You're also supporting me back when I have my practice match, and besides you also taught me the topics I missed, I'm just simply returning the favor" he said.
"But still..." I complained, he broke the hug and planted little kisses all over my face making me pout.
"Aish these kids, Belfour, Salazar back in the classroom now" I pushed Ace away and bowed at ms. Martin.
"Yes ma'am! Sorry ma'am, good morning" I greeted.
"You again old hag?" Ace complained, I straightened my posture and glared at him, he looked away.
"Well sh*t" he muttered.

I'm currently tying my hair while eyeing a certain someone watching us from a distance, I was about to curse at her mentally when someone took my rubber.
"I'll do it" Ace said and took my brush inside my bag and start tying my hair.
"Zenzen!" Liz suddenly exclaimed.
"Cupcake?" Zen looked up from his book.
Liz then pointed at me and Zen turn to our direction before smiling back at Liz.
"Zen stop spoiling her" Sam suddenly interjected.
"Icer stop spoiling her" Liz argued back and they glared at each other.
"Shh, now calm down, I'll tie your hair" Zen kissed the back of her palm and Liz stucked her tongue out at Sam.
"These two, Sam, help me over here please" Icer called nicely and she didn't waste a second to run up to him.
"And done" Ace muttered.
"Wow, thanks babe. Do you also tie Thea's hair?" I giggled.
"Well yeah, she's a lazy person" he frowned making me laugh.
He smiled and sat beside me while we continue to have our breakfast here in the garden at the back of our building, 30 minutes before class starts.
I look back at a certain balcony yet no one was there now, I sighed in content and took a nice sip on my milk.
She seems to be upset on what she saw so she left, it's an unuasual sight to see, we're complete today, even Sofia and Troy is here, Pierce and Annie are acting awkward towards each other but I can see that Pierce is trying hard to get rid of that atmosphere.
After having our breakfast we cleaned up our spot before walking out the garden.
"I'll see you later little devil" Ace grinned.
"See ya" I giggled before pulling his tie down so I can kiss him which lasted for a few seconds before pulling off.
"I'll fetch you later cupcake" Zen then kissed the back of her hand and she blushed hard.
"I'll wait for you" she smiled and kissed his cheek, then we have Ice and Sam, sucking each other's faces.
'As if you weren't like that with Ace' my brain said, well yeah right.
Last practice before the match tomorrow, I've been practicing a lot more harder than the others cause my skills are falling behind, to Sam and Liz's luck, they always ended with either Kiana or Ashlyn's group.
Thea is also good but I'm the one who's pulling the chances down to score.
A sigh left my lips as I change into my jersey, I still need to catch up with a lot of quizes after this, good thing that Ace convinced our teachers to give me more time to submit- it's not just me actually, it goes the same with Sam and Liz with the help of Icer and Zen.
And on those days that past, Mikayla has been trying hard to get their attention, not just Ace, but the Core society members, even though some of the Cards are still hidden up til now, I assume Mikayla knows them that's why she kept on doing whatever she likes without getting in trouble.
"A penny for your thoughts?" Sam nudged me.
"Nothing, just thinking about how will the match go tomorrow" I lied.
"Hmm, we're not holding the match here in the academy so I assume it would be a confusion to us, but I heard, the guys will be watching" Liz said.
"You really got into that guy for a short period of time Liz?" I teased, she rolled her eyes at me.
"Unlike you guys, Zen spoils me a lot and deffinately can't say 'no' to me" she said arrogantly making us roll our eyes at her.
I seriously can't focus on the practice today, knowing that girl can do whatever she wants, she probably had a sit in on our class now just to see Ace.
Thinking about that just simply makes my blood boil to a thousand degrees, I took a deep sigh and tried to focus on the game.
"Now that's a jealous setter" Ashlyn said while putting her hands on her hips while Kiana giggled.
A quirk almost appeared on my forehead and I glared at them.
"You know, there ain't no perfect relationships" Kiana started.
"Right. Besides, having a relationship is just like living in the jungle, aside for the fact that you need to face the challenges in order to survive the wild, you should also watch out for some tempting venomous snakes" Ashlyn qouted smartly, aren't they gonna stop? Well I'm more than willing to shove this mop on their mouth.
"Ehehe? Don't mind them" Thea then drag the two away and I sighed once more.
Sure that Mikayla and Ace were once engage but they are done now right? Why would she be sticking back at him now without a reason? Something's not right here.
"Okay ladies, let's hurry up setting the net so we can begin, coach will be here any moment now" our club coordinator yelled so everyone can hear.
After practice, I washed up and change into a casual clothes, Ace texted me that he set up another dinner date tonight so I brought some extra clothes.
I applied some powder, lip balm and perfume on my self before letting my hair down then picked up my bag.
"I'll go ahead, Sam watch over Liz" I excused myself.
"Sure, enjoy Tine" Sam said.
"See you tomorrow ladies!" I waved at the girls.
"See ya! Don't be late tomorrow okay?" Ashlyn reminded and I gave her a thumbs up.
I walked out the gym and shivered when the cold breeeze bruhed againt my skin, now I kinda regret wearing this off shoulder dress that Cristine brought me.
"Sorry, did I made you wait?" I look up to see Ace, dressed on a simple white shirt white blue jacket and black pants holding a single strand of white rose on his hand.
"Nope, I just finished practice" I smiled at him.
"A pure white rose for my gorgeous girl" he handed me the rose and I gladly took it, bringing it slowly to my nose and inhaled its lovely scent.
"Thanks Ace" I giggled and he took my bag.
At first, I thought that he was gonna take me to another fancy restaurant, but this time, he really did put a lot of effort for tonight's event.
He brought me to the rooftop where a simple dine was set, baby blue scented candles on the center table surrounded by a few white rose petals, some laterns to light up the places and our dinner was served by the table.
"So this is the reason why you're a little late?" I asked.
"Suprise?" He chuckled and I hugged him.
"Thank you" I happily said and he took my hand, leading me towards the table.
He pulled the chair and before I could even sit, some extra barged in the rooftop, Mikayla. What is she doing here? The class ended 2 hours ago and she's suppose to be back on our building for dinner.
"Wha- DJ! Wow, you set this up for me?" She asked cheerfully, deffinately not minding my pressence here.
"What the f*ck are you doing here Mikayla?!" Ace hissed, I put one hand on his shoulder to calm him down.
Mikayla slowly dropped her fake smile, trying to gain pity, she then eyed me up and down.
"Who is she?" She asked, as if the answer wasn't obvious for what she witnessed these past few days, is she really this dumb? No wonder she got kicked out here.
"My wife" Ace seriously said and I almost laugh out loud but I bit my lower lip to stop it frrom leaving my lips.
"O-oh... I didn't know you would replace me for a short time" her eyes started to water, what a pitiful sight, this should be writen on movies right?
Ace sighed deeply and pinched the bridge of his nose before turning to me.
"Can you head out for a second?" He asked me gently and I gave him a smiled.
"Sure, I think you two need to talk" I softly uttered and eyed Mikayla who suddenly threw a death glare at me, I wanna slap her actually.
When I stepped out the rooftop I heard the two started talking but I can't understand anything, well maybe because the door is too thick to allow any sound there from comming out.
She is a jealousy setter! She want me to get jealous by acting so naive, I sometimes catch her talking to Ace, and since he doesn't want to be rude, he just let her talk while he stay silent and simply looking at me.
I sighed for- I don't know, I already lost count how many sighs left my mouth today. As much as I don't want to interfer with their conversation, I can't help but to wonder what are they talking about right now.
After a few minutes, Ace walked out the rooftop with a huge frown on his face, I poked his forehead.
"Oww" he whinned.
"Stop frowning, are you done talking?" I asked while crossing my arms.
"Yeah" he softly said.
"But that doesn't mean I'll stop bothering you" I turn towards the door to see her grinning at me.
"Let's leave, the date is already ruined so let's just grab some dinner on the grand hall" Ace pulled me out of the place.
Aftet having our dinner, Ace escorted me back to our building and reminded me to avoid Mikayla and be more careful. They're not hiding anything from me are they? No matter how much I trust Ace, the sly fox will always come around to play.
Either way, I don't want to ask about what they were talking about earlier cause that'll make him think that I'm doubting him, I should just stop thinking about it for now and focus on my game tomorrow.

"Alright, the mini bus is here, let's go ladies" Ashlyn smirked.
One by one of us started climbing up the bus and settled ourselves, there are also three more bus behind us for those who wants to cheer us on our game.
Then we have the special treatment for the Core Society groups, 2 white vans. I saw Ace entered the van with his group then one by one of the vehicles started to leave.
This is my first time going to another school and this one is also the rival school of the Golden Gates Academy, looks like our schools are competing each other about holding standards.
"Too bad for the Fallon University, they didn't accept you there, they'll regret it" I turn to my back and saw how Kiana smirked at Thea's statement.
"Sure they will" she assured.
"You applied there?" I asked her.
"Well yeah, but Fallon University also values visuality not just brains" she chuckled and nod my head understandingly.
Kiana is beautiful actually, with a mix race of Italian and Pilipina she's a total goddess which is called 'diwata' in the Philippines.
Oh how I miss that place, everyone is so kind and welcoming to tourists and there's also a lot of places to visit, and the food- reminds me of lechon and sinigang! I wanna go there again!
Anyways back to Kiana, her deep blue eyes is considered to be eye catching and her face structure is no joke, the little scar on her right eyebrow makes her look like a goddess warrior.
Maybe also the reason why she didn't get accepted there, well people have different standards anyways, no wonder a lot of cruelity spread over the world.
When we arrived there, a lot of students welcomed us, actually it wasn't us, it was Ace's group who just got out their van.
"Ladies this way to your locker area please" a female student approached us and led us towards the said place.
"Thank you for the warm welcome and for escorting us here" Ashlyn smiled at her.
"It's just rare for our school to get visitors so you're welcome, suit yourselves guys" she waved before leaving.
We all prepared our selves, warm ups and meeting as well, everyone was serious now, of course, our schoolmates are here to cheer for us so we need to do our best.
"Tine, he's outside" Coach called and I nod before jogging out.
"Ace" I smiled when I was welcomed by his hug.
"Good luck on your game, don't get too much nervous okay? Also do your best and fight" he cheered me.
"I will, thanks" I giggled.
"That's my girl" he leaned down and kissed me, my eyes shut immediately while my hands clenched on his shirt as my breath hitched.
I gently pushed him away and look at his gentle dark eyes that I love to see.
"Go on now" I clasped my hands behind my back as he nod before leaving me.
"Cursetine?" I turn around only to meet a familiar amber pair of eyes, my eyes widened.
"Cayden? W-wait, as in Cayden Lim?" I asked him.
He smirked. "The one and only" he cockily said, he really didn't change huh.
Cayden, he's my classmate when I was in elementary, my boy best friend and partner in crime, devilishly handsome I can tell you that no wonder he got here in Fallon University, but he is, indeed a devil, he loves causing troubles at school but he always have an excuse to get away with it.
"Hey, it's nice to see you again" I said and we shook hands.
"Yeah, I see your playing today's match?" He asked and I nod.
"And that guy earlier, he's your boyfriend?" He asked.
"Yeah, he's actually a bully like you, I should introduce you to him later- well that is if you're free" I hesitated, well I don't really think Ace would like him, he gets jealous so easily.
"That's great, good luck on your game Aidee" he smiled widely, wow, he still remembered my nickname.
"Thanks" I replied, after that, the coach called me in so Cayden needed to go exit.
First time setting foot in a new school and of course, if visuality runs this place, brains should be our priority to knock the enemies off.
"5 minutes before setting off the court, first 6 players will be playing, you know the drill girls" Coach said.
"Yes coach" we replied.
"Hmm, looks like we also need to look good while playing too" Thea joked, I took my water bottle and drink from it.
"Yeah, I think it's not the time for that" I chuckled and she frowned.
"Alright, off the court now!" Coach called and we hurriedly walked out our locker section.
First practice match and this really thrills me, no hard feelings about the game, win or lose we'll accept it, but its way more better to win right? Especially most of the Core Society members are here to watch the game and these ladies here are trained to success.
"Should we show off?" Ashlyn nudged me.
"Fine, just one trick" I grinned and gestured to Kiana.
She nod and caught the ball that Liz was tossing before walking to the side, she throw the ball up in the air and Sam took the chance to receive it towards my direction.
I tossed the ball right next to Kiana but instead of hitting the ball, she exchanged places with Ashlyn on the last minute and she hitted it, their move is almost not vissible to the eyes and it just looks amazing with them doing that trick.
"Okay ladies, remember what those three things I always say?" Coach asked after gathering us.
"Coordination, cooperation and connection" we all said making her smile.
"Good, now take over the court" she announced and the game finally began.
