"Oh yeah I heard that, you guys really did great" Yasmine, the one who complimented me on our practice match said.
Well I was just getting some drinks on the buffet when I bump into her, now here I am on their table chatting with her and the other girls from different schools who was also on the volleyball team.
"Actually I was ranked the last on our profile since I'm too busy with schoolworks than practice" I frowned.
"At least duh! You're good at reading our moves" the Hilton University's main blocker said in amazement so I just smiled in reply.
"Also that shy type girl, who is she again?" She asked.
"Oh, she's Kianna" I answered, she clapped her hands.
"Yeah that girl, I heard that she enrolled to Fallon Univeristy as well but didn't get accpted, d*mn that beauty standard, if only that didn't exist then maybe she's part of our team" she pouted, I grinned.
"Her skills are also unbelievable" the other one said in awe.
"Excuse me, Tine, group call" Kianna pat my shoulder.
"Oh Kianna, meet your fans" I said in a joking manner and the girls on the table has their eyes shaping hearts while looking at Kianna as she shyly waved at them.
"I need to take a picture of you" Yasmine said and took out her phone.
The other girls also took a picture with her and me as their camera woman, I chuckled while looking at Kianna's flustered face over the phone screen.
She really is an introvert kind of person- but she is trying her best not to turn other people's feelings down, and that's a great job for her.
"Alright, done!" I said, they all thanked me before me and Kianna walked towards the other side of the room where the others are gathered.
"I saw that" Thea teased her and Kianna shove her face on my back to hide her face.
"Geez Kianna you should get use to it" Lucas chuckled.
"Yup, this is your last year and last chance to shine" Mahiro said in her usual japanese accent but we only earn a frown from her.
"Anyways, we need to help out setting the photoshoot near the stage so everyone can have a polaroid remembrace on this event and also the buffet, please serve another tray of foods" Icer said.
"You guys can use my polaroid camera, I still have 2 boxes of papers left in my room" Zen suggested.
"And I can take the pictures" Kyle added.
"I'll help out on the buffet" I told them.
"Should I start playing the dj set?" Annie asked.
"You go enjoy yourself" Pierce pat her head then she and Loraine rushed off.
"Okay then, everyone get to work" Sofia said and we spreaded out to do our works.
Me, Thea, Elisha and Crystal helped the staffs on serving the food on the buffet also with the help of other guys so we manage to finish it in no time.
I just sat on my chair when the disco light activated and Annie appeared on the stage with the dj booth thingy and some headphones on her ears.
"Geez Pierce, you seem to spoil her a lot than Zen does to Liz" I nudge him, he took a sip from his champaigne glass for a second before turning to the stage.
"She enjoys playing with the beats back the time before our engagement was called on, I really like listening to her playing that" he smiled.
Well here I thought he hates her? Or maybe that was just a thought, I admit that what he did to Annie before was kinda out of hand but looks like both of them learned something from each other.
"Take care of her Pierce" I hummed lightly then my eyes spotted Cayden, Jeanna and Ace on the side.
Mikayla was also around but she was talking to her classmates, much more different than I know her, she looks down but she is trying her best to smile it away.
Should I talk to her? Or maybe not, I sighed before walking up to Thea's group to get myself a drink.
"Wine?" Johana offered and I silently took it and gulp down half of it.
"Boys are a great pain on the neck" Maira chuckled at my mood.
"Don't bother mentioning it" I smirked at her before turning to June- who was glaring at her.
"Looks like your boyfriend is upset" I commented.
"Let him be, his twin also said not to spoil him too much" she giggled.
"Well I guess I'll have to talk to my Brei, ciao sister" Zaira waved.
"Have fun sis" Maira rolled her eyes.
I was on my second glass of wine and Ace doesn't seem to notice me yet, good for me, I also learned a lot of things just by talking to Thea's group and how they deal with their boyfriends and we have one thing in common:

Drinking from my third glass- it suddenly disappeared, I look over my side and frowned.
"Who allowed you to drink?" He asked seriously.
"Aish Death, what a kill joy" Johana complained.
Ace just smirked and a shifted my gaze behind Johana to see my classmate from before, standing behind her, he isn't part of the Card Society but he is known for being a billiard champion and if I were a single lady then I would have date him.
"Ah? Arvi! Where have you been?" Johana complained and he just sighed.
"Why are you like this Hana?" He asked and fixed his eyeglasses before patting her head.
"You're were busy, again" she glared at him.
"I'm sorry, now can you stop drinking? Let's get you some raspberries instead hmm?" He smiled.
I giggled and pulled Ace away from there and walked over the buffet table, I set my glass down on the table and picked some fruit salad and some buttered toast.
"Still hungry?" He teased me, I giggled.
"I wouldn't be hungry if the food smells aweful, gladly they aren't" I said and took a bite on my toast before taking a spoonful of salad to eat.
I watch him took a plate and put some buttered chicken and rice on it, Icer was right, he hates skipping meals unless it's necesary.
We both ate in silence and of course, he was the one who finished my wine while I took some lemon juice for my self, but I'm still not full, on the other hand Sam forbid me to have more sweets because I might get hyper and won't be able to go to sleep.
I sighed and start muching on the steak Ace took for me, I prefer beef steak than pork, it just taste so juicy from getting boiled too much and it's quite tastey even if without too much seasoning.
"Ah, I'm full" I sighed happily.
"Come on let's head to the terrace" he pulled my hand and I have no choice but to follow him.
When we got there, he closed the door so the music from inside was completely blocked by the door. I look at the stars in the sky while leaning over the railings, now I'm alone with him, again, just how I wish to happen before the night ends.
"You know, I have a cousin..." he started, I look back at him and raised my eyebrow.
"Yeah?" I signed him continue, he smiled before looking up.
"Her name is Stella Lucid, Stella because of her grandmother, Estella which means star, and Lucid, because her birth was just like a pure lucid dream to aunt Samantha, her mom, she also have a twin brother named Stealer Louise" he stepped closer to me and lean his back by the railing while I keep looking at him.
"The thing about her is- Stella was really brave even after her mother's death, and just like the stars above us, she wants to shine and prove to everyone that nothing can being her down, just like you, you never give up on fighting just to get the first rank for yourself, you remind me of her" he chuckled.
"Oh, that's kinda sad to think that her mother left her already" I mumbled.
"Actually she has the same age as us, and it happened four years ago" he shrugged.
"What is she like?" I asked him, getting more interested about his cousin.
"She totally looks like her mother, and as I mentioned earlier, she's a lot like you, you're both strong and doesn't fall down on challenges but when it comes to family, she's also down to earth and does everything for them, she's also beautiful-"
"Of course she is dumb*ss, if she's not then you're probably adopted" I jokingly complained and he just laugh at my remarks.
He then opened his arms for me and I gladly hugged him, so warm, just like a life size warm compress, he starts stroking my hair and I slowly closed my eyes and enjoyed his company.
"And of course, you are both fearless and kind" he finished.
Fearless huh? I don't think so, I fear a lot of things yet acted so brave enough to face them, I have failed to do a lot of things already and I know that there's more to come in the future.
"You think I'm kind?" I asked him with an evil smile on my face but then he flicked my forehead earning a frown from me.
"Of course, how dare you think that you're not?" He hissed.
"I was just joking, no need to flick my forehead, sheez" I whined.
We both stayed silent for a whole minute before I slowly moved away from him, setting my hands on my hips and glared at him.
"What did you and Mikayla talked about?" I asked, he snapped his fingers as if he remembered something.
"Ah that one, well she realized something after you comfronted her, she was a little embarrassed to apologize to you personally so she ask me to be the one to say it to you" he said.
"Was it sincere enough?" I asked him.
"Can't tell, I guess you should ask her instead" he motioned towards the closed door.
"Hmm, I'm fine not knowing it" I grinned then he spun me around and changed positions with me.
My back hitting the cold bars of the steel railings with his both arms caging me in place then I look up to him, he's too close and by just sensing his body heat makes my insides go wild.
"Now, that we're alone..." he gently caress the side of my face with his left hand and lifted my chin up so I can meet his dark and mischievious eyes.
"I can't help it" he whispered huskily and my face reddened immediately.
I smiled softly before snaking my hand on his chest, trailing up to his nape and pulled him down to connect our lips.
I felt him froze for a moment before taking the first move of moving his lips and I fell under his dominance, his tongue ask for permission and I parted my lips to grant it.
Our tongues collided and my breathing hitched when his arms slided through my waist and hips before grasping my side earning a whimper from me.
Things are heating between us and I decided to pull away, both of us catch our breaths and I didn't remove my gaze on my shoes, my heart is racing as if I ran the hundred miles and what made me embarassed the most was the string of saliva connecting our mouths.
He suddenly wiped the side of my lips making me look up to him, he have this evil grin on his lips and that made me smile lightly.
"You're such a devil" he leaned over, to get a close look on my face.
"I just figured out that you miss it" I said flustered.
"Oh I did miss it, but I also miss marking you" he smirked and shove his face on my neck, I gasped at his suddenly action but what he did next was beyond my expectation.
He slide his tongue on my neck sending shivers down my spine he kept doing it before biting down my flesh as I tilted my head to the side to avoid suffocating him.
"A-Ace..." I hardly breathed out and he hummed against my skin making my legs pressed together for some reason.
"Stop i-it" I stuttered, but the truth is, I don't want him to stop.
He eventually stopped but he already made a mark on my neck, before I could even complained to him, someone entered the terrace catching both our attention.
"Your pressence are requested inside" Clyde said.
"Copy that" Ace said cooly while stretching his arms as if nothing happened.
I frowned and hung my ponytail over my shoulder hoping to hide the mark on my neck, this guy is really a troublesome one.
When we stepped back inside, Sam snatched me away towards where Liz, Annie and Loraine is sitting, she set me down on the chair between Annie and Liz before sitting next to her roomate.
"What's up?" I asked them.
"Well we only have about less than six months left before graduation, think we can make the most of it?" Loraine asked.
"Without putting efforts- yes, I mean, we get to have a lot of new experiences this year, like it's all what I ever wanted since the first year, no hates and stuff" Sam answered.
"Like yeah? You girls got yourselves a boyfriend, right?" Annie chuckled, I smirked at her.
"And you got to turn your fiancé upside down in less than 3 months" I fired then she frowned, the girls chuckled afterwards and our table gotten more noisy.
Days passed and looks like Mikayla did settled down after that party, our class are back to our regular schedules but things are still stressful as usual especially at class.
Some things changed and some didn't, well I guess that's just how life works, we go through a lot of ups and downs but at the end of the day we keep on fighting for our own battles.
I was on my seat tiredly before opening the folders on my desk to check the quiz we have yesterday, the teachers are busy today for a conference meeting but good thing I have the answer key with me.
There's only a few of us here inside our classroom while the rest are off to finish their projects or outputs and stuff and speaking of projects, I don't think we can actually finish anything if our schedules won't match up.
I frowned and decided to finish my work when suddenly my red pen ran out of ink, I hissed under my breath but my expression calmed down when he kissed the top of my head and handed me a new red pen, I look up to him with a smile.
"Relax yourself" he muttered softly.
"I will, thanks" I giggled.
"I'm off to the library for some rounds, see you later babe" he grinned.
"Later" I smiled and watched him walk out the door.
What a stress yet still handsome guy, I smiled to myself but I instantly dropped it when James came to drop some more work for me.
"Due tomorrow, do today" he smirked, and I gave him a m*rderous smile then my pen broke into pieces.
"Ehehe?" He chuckled and dropped his red pen on my desk for me to use before running out the classroom.
"YAH JAMES!!" I yelled in furstration.
"Sorry I'm suppose to do that" Louanne sighed apologetically. Is it? Now I feel really bad.
I smiled brightly at her and shook my head.
"What are you saying? It's fine, you should finish your work first" I chuckled and faced the pile of work on my desk.
Well as I said earlier, this is getting more stressful everyday, too bad for me and Ace for being in the first rank, it's gonna be a long day.

I yawned while stretching my arms, alright, another day of suffering inside the library and classroom, Annie is also up now but she insisted to grab some breakfast downstairs so I can use the bathroom first.
When I was done, I change into my uniform before setting foot outside the bathroom. Annie entered the bathroom after setting our breakfast down my desk, I took care of her homeworks and bag to make sure that she won't forget anything, this has been our routine for the past two weeks, but we do it alternately.
Sometimes it's me who gets the breakfast sometimes it's her turn to do it and we would fix each others' bags and it kinda help us lessen our time though.
After taking a bath and preparing her self, me and Annie took our bags and breakfast before setting off the dorm while eating our breakfast on the way to the main building.
We would usually have ramen or sandwhich with fresh milk or simply water, depending on our mood.
"Good morning" Pierce greeted and Annie swallowed down her food before tossing the trash on a nearby bin and turning to him.
"Morning, what's your schedule for today?" She asked, I stood on the side to finish my ramen and throw it over the trash bin and walking to them.
"We have a research after classes, we also have a meeting with the 6th and 1st Card afterwards but I can still see you around lunch after my rounds on the library" he said while taking Annie's bag.
"You're not attending the science experiment?" I asked him, well duh he's my clasmate afterall.
"I'll skip, you guys do it and I'll just help out with the hypothesis" he turn to me and I shrug at him, at least he would help us on this experiment.
"Well I'm off for my rounds, tell Icer I'm already on my way there" I told him with a wave.
"About that, I don't think he's gonna leave the checking of papers anytime soon..." he trailed off.
"Tell Sam, for sure he can't say no to her" I grinned then he smirked, giving me a thumbs up as I skipped out the place.
I entered the building and turn to the hallway that led to the library when I accidentally bump into someone causing us both to stumble down and papers flew everywhere.
"Aww" I whinced in pain, I shouldn't walk fast with these heels.
"I'm so sorry" I said and look up to see a shock Mikayla sitting on the floor in front of me.
"Hey, Mikayla" I greeted awkwardly, she blinked a few more times before shaking her head.
"N-no, it was my fault, sorry" she said lowly, now where's the spoiled Mikayla? She sure changed after that scene huh.
"Woah ladies it's not nice to sit on the floor" Lucas and Zen eventually helped us back on our feet.
"Thanks" I smiled at Lucas and he just nod with a little smile.
"Here you go Mikayla" Zen handed her papers.
"T-thanks, u-uh, I gotta n-now, bye!" She said and sprinted away.
At least now, it's confirmed that she has settled down, like finally!
"Death said that he'll just bring your lunch later" Zen said, not minding Mikayla's action earlier.
"Oh right, thanks you two" I waved before turning to the side-
Where my face hit the wall, good thing the two manage to catch me, AGAIN!
"Let me guess, 3 hours of sleep?" Lucas chuckled.
"D*mn right" I frowned then they laugh.

"Stop slouching and finish that" Icer scolded me and I dropped my pen harshly then look at him while massaging my hand.
"I'm not" I complained, he grinned.
"You can say that but I've been your partner since day 1 so I can tell if it's true or not" he stated.
"Fine, fine, I got it, Father" I teased him.
"Say that again and I'll tell Death that you're being stuborn" he says while flipping some pages on the book log.
"Threathen me again and I'll ask Sam to cancel your dates" I smirked then he glared at me, I raised my eyebrows and shut my mouth before shrugging then closing my book to set it back on the shelves.
Speaking of shelves, I really don't have enough time to check the letter that I stole from that book, is he waiting for a reply? I actually fogot about that part, maybe I'll just check it later since I'll be retiring early for bed today.
The day passed in a blur and I almost can't believe I was able to do everything on my schedule for today.
When I reached my dorm, I pushed the door open after unlocking it with my keys, Annie is still attedning their last subject so I decided to head back early to finish ny homework.
I set Ace's essay on my desk with a thud causing a few folded papers on my desk to move and a blue paper was reveal, I slipped it out the other files and my eyes widened.
What is the meaning of this?!
