Chapter 11 Stay With Me
I could feel how the intense fire became even bigger and warmer as time goes by yet I remained in the river, with my heart shattered and I seem to be stunned at how things fly so fast. I could no longer move my feet and I stayed bathed on the river streams yet its waters were disappearing.
"What are you doing here, Terra? You could have been hurt," my eyes rounded in surprise upon hearing a familiar voice, his smoky tone was quite pressing as if he is about to scold me.
A dark aura began to invade the entire atmosphere and I lifted my face to seek for the owner of the familiar voice. I felt someone pull me out of the place and I scent his perfume, he is so attractive.
"Who are you?" I asked out of curiosity as I gaze at him deeply yet I could not clearly see his countenance due to the thick smoke which covers the entire forest.
He did not let go of my hands, instead, he proceeded to walk toward the exit of the woods... with me. I was gasping for air and he noticed that "Hold on tight," I heard him say and the next moment I remembered, he carried me in his arms.
I almost lost my quiver yet the good thing is I tightly held it in my grip as I began to cough heavily.
When we arrived at the plains, I accidentally let go from wrapping my arms around his neck the moment I saw his face.
This guy, I cannot believe it... He is the one who chopped my hair!
"You!" We almost stumble on our way when I attempted to escape from his embrace. He halted from running and he put me down and acted as if he did not hear anything.
"Terra, you did not listen." My mouth automatically shut when he leaned closer to me, and his face was so near. His Caribbean irises were very visible yet what surprises me was when they gradually became dusky.
"... What do you mean?" I muttered, yet a teasing smile escape from his lips.
"Timothy already warned you to escape, but you still stayed there." His words made me, even more, confused, what is he saying? how did he know about it? why is he giving me a headache? he should have disappeared and never come back!
"What do you want from me? Why are you even here in the first place? Who are you?" I questioned. The thing is, I could not comprehend the idea of having him around. He is a stranger, and I am sure about that. I have never seen his face before and his stares are filled with mystery.
"I am roaming around this territory, to tempt anybody, to kill someone, to steal something precious, and to destroy the world." I barely gawked at him because of what he asserted, he turned his back from me and continue to speak.
"What I really want is your blood, it lures me, you do not know how much it impacts my well-being, Terra. It makes me crave for it, it is making me insane, I want to taste you..." His words made me freeze on my location, he took it as an opportunity to lean closer to me.
"You have no idea how I often stalk you every day," he continued and I gasped. "Remember the day when I cut your hair?"
"... What are the reasons behind all of this?" I felt dumbfounded, the occurrence overwhelms my entire being. I only thought that life is filled with vanity considering the fact that it arises the boredom within me yet now that I have faced difficulties, it made me think that it is even tiring than what I usually perceive at it.
"Being here in this realm is not bad at all, it happened that I have known you, which is a good thing to consider because finally... I shall get to taste your sweetness," He responded and tucked my hair, his wide grin makes me fear him. His presence makes me stunned, he is scary.
"Back off," I warned but he only chuckled.
"I consulted with the witch, upon smelling your hair, there she knew that you shall be mine." I felt unsteady and at dazed by the immediate revelations which eventually surprises my heart. It shall thrive as something that will cause your death.
"My name is Thrille, and there is no way that you can stop me from destroying this world," he stated and I barely breathe when his lips roughly pressed onto mine and I could feel the softness of it.
He smirked between the kiss and I tightly closed my eyes before I forcefully pushes him away. "... What are you thinking?!" I exclaimed. I felt my face flushing in red and I could not help myself but feel ashamed of what he did.
I sat on the ground and hug my knees, shifting my gaze from him and hiding my face away. I could no longer comprehend what is going on yet as I recalled the kiss, it makes my heart jump off my chest as if it was pleased with what his lips tasted like.
"Hey, it is just a kiss, what do you think is wrong with it?" I heard him spoke and I secretly rolled my eyes at him. "I was just confirming if Constance was really telling the truth," he added.
This man is impossible!
"You have no idea that I am getting married," I bitterly uttered and took a glance in his direction yet I saw how he stared at me upon my sudden response.
He twitched his lips and I can say that he is displeased with what he heard. "Who is the lucky man that will soon taste the sweetness of your lips and feel the warmth of your embrace?" He curiously questioned.
I paused for a moment as memories keeps on flashing inside my mind. They say that it is my fate, to be the Prince's bride yet having the thought of being with him for the rest of my life will always disgust me. Also, the King appears to be threatening. There is no way that I shall let him touch me ever again. The thing which honestly devastates my mind is that I just realize that I am falling for Ezekiel and now this man right here is trying to convince me that I am his.
"I can read your thoughts, you see." I got back on my senses when he spoke once more. I glance at him and his dusky irises were seen, those eyes were really captivating.
Yet still, I loathed him!
"Shall I kill the King for you?" He jokingly uttered which made me panic yet I eventually shrugged. Who cares if he dies anyway? I lost my respect for a man like him.
"Are you able to do that?" I asked Thrille, and he only smirks at me. His face really screams arrogance.
"What do you think?" I guess in every word he enunciates, it appears so haughty.
"You seems to be a joke to me," I teased and his face frowned.
"I shall return you at the Palace or perhaps in your cabin, Constance is putting a spell at the town. I let a prisoner escape and told her to burn the forest," a sinister smile was being plastered on his face as if it is pleasure to see me surprised in horror.
"What are you?" I hissed as I traveled my fingers toward my quiver, preparing to grab an arrow and shoot his forehead.
"Stop what you are attempting to do, Terra. You cannot kill me, and no one will ever defeat me." His voice became as deadly as how his aura appears to me. As I glance at his eyes, they began to glow as dusky as how it becomes. Those Caribbean irises which I admired are no more.
"What are you doing?" I stuttered and I almost stumbled on the ground when he began to walk near me. "Stop right there!"
"It makes me uneasy to sense the thirst whenever I see you, Terra."
I felt how my knees began to tremble in fear and all I could think of was to escape yet he was too fast. He grabbed my arm and I flinched in pain when I felt my skin tearing apart.
"... Please, stop!"
I tightly closed my eyes when he attempted to bite my wrist yet as I was sensing how his fangs would prick on my bare skin—I felt nothing. I suddenly heard a chuckle and before I could open my eyes again, I felt a strong wind around me and it is too late for me to realize that I am in my own home.
"What?"
I began to wander my gaze and my heart began to race when I heard screams from the outside. I walk in haste and take a peek at the window, the village seems to be a ghost town for I see no one.
'Yet their souls were screaming pain,' I thought.
"Terra?!" I jumped off from where I was standing when the door slammed open and I behold the worried expression of the Prince.
"Gohan? What are you doing here?"
"A witch attacked the village! I have been searching for you. You must come with me," he retorted and confusion began to embrace my entire being. What happened?
"... no, I cannot come with you," his face was filled with turmoil upon my sudden response.
"Terra, there is no time for this. Spare what you wish to reason out, I am taking you to the Palace." I freaked out when he began to take me out of my room, he held my wrist and I pleaded for him to let me go.
"I am not going!"
"You are not allowed to disobey my words, lady." He warned me yet I did not listen. I recklessly pulled myself from him and harshly took my bow and arrow, and pointed it in his direction.
"I told you I am not going with you," I firmly uttered and he only twitched his lips as he tried to calm himself.
"Why is it? Do I seem to be harmful to you?" he asked.
"... I recently know that your father cannot be trusted. He attempted to harass me, Gohan." The hatred I felt toward the King quickly kindled within my heart and I only take a tight hold of my bow.
"You cannot force me, so back off."
"What? He did that?" he lowered his voice and gazed at me with a worried look. "When?" he added.
I cannot believe this! It only makes me angry the more he utter words.
"Just leave," I muttered yet the next thing he did certainly surprised me.
He rush toward me and hugged me tightly, "No, please Terra. You cannot do this, push me not." He was begging but I only struggled to get away from him.
"Enough of it, Prince Gohan." I tried to shove him away and as he let go of me, I hasten to distant myself from him and there I am no longer hesitant to dart my arrow on him.
I let go of the arrow and it pierced through his leg. "You shall regret this," I heard him mutter but I never bothered myself to turn and look at his reaction.
I broke the window glass of my room and jumped off.
"This is a goodbye," I whispered and ran away. Download Novelah App
