"How's your mission?" asked Eron the moment he sat beside me.
"It's fine." I answered as I lean on the railings and stared at the sky.
"Seems like your action speaks otherwise." Eron do the same. He lean on the railings and also stared at the clear dark sky.
"Why are you here? You're supposed to be on the other side of the earth to fulfill your assigned mission."
"I just heard some news about an angel who caught up having sexual intercourse in a human." My gaze suddenly turned to him with a surprising look.
"When?" I asked that made him turned his gaze at me with confusion written on his face.
"You didn't know? Everyone knows that, while you don't?"
"You know that I'm not nosy like you. Plus, I'm busy with this mission. I must know every move and everything this mortal will do every second of everyday. Her life cannot be endangered because it is not yet time for her to disappear from this world." I reasoned out which is the half truth.
"Yeah, you're right." Eron agreed. "Well, about the angel who incarnate in human form to have a sexual intercourse with a human has been punished by the Father," he added that made me more curious.
"What's his punishment?" I asked but he just shrugged his shoulders that means, he doesn't know.
"I don't know either. Maybe he was thrown to hell or imprisoned in second heaven? I don't have any idea," he answered which I just nodded in response.
After that conversation silence prevailed between the two of us. I had nothing to say so I just kept quiet while staring at nothingness and he did the same.
It's been a few days but it's still happening every day. Ajal would visit to preach to me and Eron would asked what happened about my day every night.
Until one day came what I feared.
I was here in the corner and silently watching the mortal opposite a large door and hesitating whether she would open it or not. She was always sighing as she prepared herself for what would happen inside that room. She seems to be encouraging herself to prepare for what she will see behind that big door.
Minutes had passed when she finally opened it, and I saw how she stunned at what she have witnessed inside the room. I walked beside her and saw what she saw inside.
His so called boyfriend is kissing another girl at the front of his cousins and friends while this mortal beside me is like statue for not moving even a single muscle.
I could see how hurt she is, at the moment. And I don't know why I feel something terrible inside me. Seems like I wanted to beat that guy to death by I calmed myself and control my emotions.
I shouldn't feel this way.
But goodness! I can't do it.
Even how much I tried, I still feel the same.
"Y-ynnah-"
"Let's break up," she finally said before he finishes anything he was about to say as she turned her back to walk away. He was about to run after her but the other girl stops him from doing so while that mortal just made her way out of the room.
"What the heck is she talking about?!" I heard the woman exclaimed it right after she could get out of the door.
The moment that she finally came out of that room, I immediately followed her and saw how her tears streamed down her cheeks. She looks really in pain and I don't know why, but I wanted to embrace her right at this moment. I wanted to comfort her and cage her in my arms but I know that I can't.
And all I could do now is to watch her suffer from heartbreak.
I just followed her wherever she go. Until the rain suddenly fall from the sky.
When I saw how pale she was and shiver in the cold of the weather, and at her state right now, I knew she would be doomed. There are guys right now on the left corner of the park, gawking at her.
I had no other choice but to pretend to be human to protect her from the watching eyes of evil people. I saw an umbrella so I immediately took it and held it to her.
She seemed to feel my presence from behind so she immediately turned to me. She was a bit surprised to see me, but I could still see how tired and hurt she is.
"What are you doing? And who are you? " She asked when she recovered from our stares.
She's really indeed beautiful.
"It's raining, you shouldn't be here." I said without answering her questions.
I saw how she composed herself as she give me a weird look that I didn't get if what kind of look is that.
"You know what? You don't have to do this. I can manage myself besides I'm on my way home," she said. But I didn't listen to her.
I know that she can't manage herself cause she's is fainting.
"You look pale, your eyes were tired. You're not okay and you can't go home by yourself. You look sick and anytime by now, you'll collapse. " I sternly said without even blinking even at once.
"You're kidding, right? I'm just broken not sick," she said as she turned her back at me and was about to walk away but she couldn't cause she suddenly lost consciousness.
Fortunately, I caught her right away because otherwise, she might have fallen to the ground and hit her head on a big rock. A hard blow to the head can shake her brain inside the skull that can be a result of bruises, broken blood vessels, or nerve damage to the brain.
I picked her up immediately and carried her home. I saw how the faces of the men hanging out on the other side of the park grimaced at what I did.
I just shook my head and continue walking not glancing at them. When I arrived in front of their house I immediately placed her on the floor and rang the doorbell of their gate before leaving and hiding in a tree near them. In less than a few minutes, a man appeared immediately, he's probably her older brother and was shocked to see her unconscious in front of their gate.
From that day on, I couldn't even hang out on the rooftop of the biggest building every night because of watching her every second of every minute of every day.
And because of that, I realized what I wanted to do. My decision is already final.
I am giving up my wings and being a Guardian angel just to be with her.
