As the days go by, everything becomes complicated and scary. You never know what you will do the next day. You will no longer want to go out, if when you go out there is a disaster waiting. I don't know how long I will hide in that big mansion, because there is no certainty when the enemies will attack.
And in today's era, and because of circumstances you no longer know who to believe. Sounds scary to believe. You don't know if they are telling the truth, or if they are just fooling you. You don't know if they are real, or the time will come when they will betray you too.
"Being loved by a Guardian angel is one of the most beautiful feeling ever, but difficult to deal. Complications will be there, and of course the evil souls and the challenges that wants to suppress your enjoyment of living peacefully," he stared at me. "Just like what happened to me and my late wife."
Suddenly there was a glint of pain and longing in his eyes that was now staring at me.
"What really happened to her?" I can't help but questioned.
"It was not just because of a serious illness that my late wife died. Like Eros, I was also followed by a few angels who sinned and were punished in the river of blazing fire. They are my companions whenever the Dear Father commands us to do something related to Guarding humans or animals. But when I fell in love with a human like you, we got into trouble because of the promise not being fulfilled."
Promise.
A promise and betrayal.
So that means, all angels who love humans have the same reason why they are followed by the sinful angels here on earth? So they are in the same trouble because of the promises that are being crucified?
Is that even possible?
But, Eros was cast into the world of men because he disobeyed the Father's command not to love a human, which is me. And his twin followed him because he wanted revenge for his betrayal of him because of the nailed promise to each other. Mr. Fleviox, on the other hand, was also cast into the world of Man because of a forbidden love, and he was also followed by the guilty angels who had previously been with him on the mission commanded by the Holy Father because of promises not fulfilled.
"Why does the Father forbid angels like you to love Man?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Because we, angels should only follow and obey the Father's commandments. Not a human," he answered as he lean his back on the backrest of the chair. "As an angel, our top priority is all about loyalty to our world and our individual duties. But the moment we fell in love with a human, that loyalty can cause conflict within us, leaving us torn between it and the human we love. And the only one true way for us to be with the human, is by surrendering our wings and immortality. That's a tough decision for an angel like us to make," he added.
I took a deep breath as I look at Eros who's still getting our orders.
I know how hard he'd been through. He sacrificed everything just because of me. And I wanted to return the favor.
From now on, I will do everything for him to keep safe and sound. I don't want him to feel the same torture he felt before. He had enough. Eros is a very good man, even sometimes he's annoying. He's very smart and dedicated. And I wanted to keep him. As I promised, I won't leave his side no matter what happens.
We will fight this trouble together. I will protect him at all cost. Even if he doesn't want me to do it, I will do it on my own.
After a few minutes of waiting, Eros arrived immediately with another waiter while carrying three trays of food. After they placed the three trays of food at the table, the waiter immediately bid goodbye carrying the three empty trays while Eros immediately sat down on the chair next to me.
While eating, the two of them were talking and they were the only ones who understood each other while I was just quietly eating and listening to their conversation. I couldn't help but look at Eros' beautiful face as he happily talked to Mr Fleviox. You really can't imagine that behind his gentle and serious face hides all the hardships he suffered from his past.
And I am so very proud of him because after those incidents, he lift his self up and begin his journey again not as a Guardian angel anymore, but a human here in the new world he inhabits.
And now that we already found each other, I won't waste any chances. I decided to be with him forever. Until the end of our journey. Till death do us part.
"Are you full?" he asked after our lunch at the restaurant we ate at, we are now here in the parking lot of the restaurant and walking to the car we used while Mr Fleviox followed us behind.
"Of course, thanks to the both of you. I really ate a lot." I said happily while clinging at his arm while walking.
"That's good to know," he said as we stop from walking when we got to the side of the car.
He immediately opened the car door for me when I felt like I was urinating.
"Wait, Eros. I'll just go to the comfort room for a moment." I said that made him nodded before I ran to the nearby comfort room of the parking lot.
The moment I finished doing my thing, I immediately went out to the cubicle and washed my hands in the sink. As I was washing my hands I felt something pass behind me. When I turned around to look at my back, there is no one but me.
Maybe I'm just hallucinating again.
I just ignored that and continued washing my hands. When I finished, I got out immediately and walked back to the car so we could go home right away.
I saw Eros clutching the hood of the car while waiting for me when a black Van suddenly stopped behind me. And before I could turn around, someone suddenly grabbed me from behind, snake his arm around my waist and covered my mouth with a handkerchief causing me to inhale an unpleasant odor.
"Eros!" I shouted but my voice was muffled.
I was about to struggle from their hold when I felt I was fainting from the smell. And then I realized that there's a sleeping drugs on that handkerchief!
Fuck it!
I don't want to lose consciousness but, my eyes are closing on their own!
Oh God! Please help me!
I wanted to shout his name again. But everything went so fast. The people who kidnapped me acted too fast. Before Eros could turn around, I was already in the Van.
Even from the distance separating us, I saw fear laced on Eros eyes, before the van took off, and my eyes closed as the drug finally took over my whole system.
