Isaac and I went to my house leaving Lilian recuperating in the hospital. It has been a very long day.
Isaac insisted on seeing me settled comfortably at home before proceeding to his house.
'Now my baby, I can go home and rest.' He yawned using his hand to cover up his sensuous mouth.
'Yes my love, it's been quite hectic for a day. I hope there will be no more disturbance. I'm famished. Why can't I prepare something for you before going ?' I implored him.
'No need my baby, I have food at home, only I will have to microwave it.' He replied.
Before I could go to the kitchen, he drew me very close to his body and kissed me on the lips to my surprise.
'Oh, my God! Brother Isaac even you?' I kidded.
'Brother has feelings too. Don't you worry, I will be careful?' He allayed my fears.
'Very soon we will be settled I suppose?'
'Sure, we shall be together for life till death do us part.' Isaac declared touching my nose.
'I'm anticipating. We have both waited for long.' I replied.
He left while I accompanied him outside as he entered his car. I waved to him as if he would be gone for life.
As soon as I landed on my bed, I slept off, probably snoring only to be woken up by my cell phone. Picking up, I discovered that it was Phillip. Still wondering why he was disturbing me at the late hour.
'Is it true that Lilian was hospitalized? I learnt that she tried to kill herself because of the recent incident.'
'Who told you this story?'
'His cousin's sister, Annabel.' He replied.
'Oh yes, it's true.'
'Oh my God, see what I caused this lady. I will be there by tomorrow.'
'Oh, that's thoughtful of you.' I hung up before he could say another.
I only was curious why he couldn't ask Isaac.
The following day, I was shocked to see Phillip in the hospital in Lilian's room.
'Phillip!' I cried out of shock and awe on sighting him. He held Lilian's hand in the most alluring manner, gazing into her eyes full of empathy.
'Derin, how are you doing?' He replied, but his attention was stuck on Lilian.
'Wow, it's like I'm missing something here?' I smirked.
'I'm as surprised as you are Derin. I never knew he will come over to see me.' Lilian replied.
Just as I wanted to talk, Annabel entered briskly and stood aloof on sighting Phillip holding Lilian's hand. Her face changed as if drained of every colour.
'Hello Annabel, how are you doing?' Phillip looked her way to greet her.
She was able to recover from her shock and greeted Phillip.
'Thanks for asking, as you can see, I am very fine.' She replied with a frown on her face. She looked green-eyed.
Phillip laughed aloud, he understood her mood. Typical of ladies to be jealous no doubt.
'What's funny?' Annabel replied with a growl.
'Annabel you are funny, I don't think that you have a right to be jealous of your sister. Can't you be reasonable for once?' Phillip screamed at her.
'Reasonable you say, It's you that needs to be reasonable. Didn't you neglect us? Why are you here now? Because you heard she attempted suicide? Hmmm, you are a deceiver. You are here to deceive us again?'
'Stop it, Annabel, I am sorry again and again for what occurred. Please I am here to take care of your cousin. That is the least I can do.' Phillip protested as he stood up to go.
'Phillip, why are you leaving so soon?' I cried out.
'I need to take my leave. My good intention is misconstrued. It's of no use coming here.'
'Let him go please, good riddance to bad rubbish.' Annabel yelled.
Phillip looked at her and left the room but not without telling Lilian
'Lilian, I will give you a call. I'm leaving for peace to reign. I hope you understand.'
'Yes, I do. Thanks for the visit. I appreciate you.' Lilian replied.
'What! Don't fool yourself, Lilian. Phillip is here to mock you, nothing more.' Annabel declared.
'Ha ha, stop this Annabel. Can't you respect your sister?' I yelled at her deeply surprised at her ill-reverent.
'I don't know what possess you to misbehave. After all, he is going to be the father of your child.' Lillian scolded.
'I have no plan to deliver a child for the idiot. I have soon moved on with my life.' Annabel replied.
'What do you mean?' Lillian screamed.
'I was never pregnant for him since day one' She retorted.
'But you told me that you were pregnant for him too.'
'I only said that to make you leave him for me. I loved the fool and wanted him in my life. So when I discovered that you were pregnant with him. I decided to fake mine too.'
'So it's true that you lured him to bed then.'
'Yeah, I won't lie about it again. I did but I never knew that you had anything to do with him at first.'
'So are you still in love with him?' Lillian asked a straightforward question.
