'Penny for your thoughts Derin ?' Lilian jolted her back to reality.
'My love is no doubt thinking of our journey into the world of marriage.' Isaac interjected.
'Hey Mr. Right, take it easy now. I am getting jealous you know. Staying with the two lovey-dovey is no joke at all. But I am happy for you guys' Lilian declared jokingly with a smirk on her face.
'Don't worry, Mr. Right is knocking right away and will steal your heart away. Lilian is in for a great time with this guy.' Isaac kidded smiling with his hot dashing face.
I don't know how to stop my heart from beating at the sight of Isaac. He takes my breath away. I love him so much. I can hardly wait to tie the knot. Derin thought in her heart.
'So when is my own Mr. Right coming?' Lilian asked facing Isaac as if he is the alpha and omega.
'Prophet, please prophesy to my good friend.' I joked.
'You ladies should watch out right now!' Isaac uttered and he swirled pointing to the door.
We both clapped.
'Here comes my friend's…'
I could not complete the sentence when he opened the door without knocking.
'Ha ha, Phillip!' Isaac screamed.
This was a coincidence of course. Lilian frowned her pretty face as he entered, and sat down with her arms folded. It was all a joke but Phillip's entrance spoilt the fun for us apart from Isaac.
'Isaac you are here too. Waoh, thanks for standing in.'.
'Lilian is our very good friend.' Isaac uttered with excitement. I have never seen Isaac so happy like this.
'Yes, I know. I was supposed to be here but Annabel sent me out of here.' Phillip explained still sober.
'Yeah buddy, I was told. Don't worry you are here now to take over from us.' Isaac reassured.
'That won't be necessary, please. I am very fine now.' Lilian declared pouting her lips.
'Please forgive me, Lilian. I know that I led you on. But I will make up for it.' He said.
'Don't bother yourself, Phillip I repeat. Go and make up with your fiancee.' Lilian insisted.
'Hmmm, thanks for your consideration but no thanks. Kate has cancelled the wedding, fully supported by me. I don't want to marry her again. I don't love her.' He announced.
'Who do you love then? Annabel?'
'No, never; Annabel is not my type. '
'We need to tell you that Annabel is not pregnant for you.' I announced to Phillip.
Phillip who had been standing stood still staring into space as if he heard a strange voice.
'Yes Phillip, you need to know about this. It's only Lilian who is with your seed.' Isaac repeated.
Phillip turned to Isaac and grabbed him by his shoulders.
'Please tell me the truth!'
'It's the truth, Phillip. He confessed to me in the presence of Derin.' Lillian mumbled bending her head.
He jumped up and started to dance to imaginary music.
Lilian was shocked to see him rejoice after a very long time.
'Now I am free from Annabel. He has been on my neck for me to marry her.
'Ha ha ' We all cried out.
'Congratulations to you, Phillip.' Isaac declared.
'But he is still having a child with me. I'm sorry but I am not interested in marrying a man like you. I regretted my actions. So you are free from me too. Just accept the paternity so that my child will have a father.' Lilian uttered.
'I'm glad to father your child, please. I am ready to take full responsibility.' Phillip moved over to her bedside. She sat down in bed. He started to touch her tummy with a shock written all over Lillian's face.
'What ?' Lilian removed his hand and he put it there again.
'This one growing up in you is my blood. You can not deny me. He needs all the love he can get.' Phillip said stubbornly.
'Yes, Phillip is dead right? Please let him stroke your tummy. He is bonding with his child.' Isaac encouraged Lilian.
'But I am sorry please, but I don't think I want Phillip to touch my tummy. I'm appalled by this.
'Please don't hate me. For the sake of our child. Let's be friends. I plead with you.'
'I will think about this Phillip. It's not easy for me.' Lilian said shaking her head.
