"I cannot abort my child!" Lilian screamed at John.
"Fine, deliver the child and let's give it out for adoption. There are many couples that want babies and we could hand over this thing in you to them." John told Lilian.
"Now I know you are insane. Do you care for me at all? How could you talk about my seed in a careless way. No emotions for anyone." Lilian argued with deep disappointment.
This was the arguments that ensued between them and no one was around. It came to a time when John almost slapped Lilian.
"Ha ha! You mean that you will beat me up?"
"It is to reset your brain if need be. You are not being reasonable here. The circumstances surrounding the pregnancy in you is appalling and all I want is for you to see beyond your present situation. You don't have to marry this lowlife of a man. He is not a good guy, but you are too stubborn to see."
"Hmm, I can't believe I allowed you to stay here. Get out of my house, John. I'm done with you! You are just a distraction to me." Lilian yelled at John.
"Yeah, now I know you are without redemption. I'm out of your life forever. You just succeeded in wasting my time." John roared and went away in grave anger.
Lilian sat down on the couch catching her breath. She was almost regretting sending John away! But then how could she give her rights to a man like John who had no feelings for her health? How could she submit to a man who is selfish and do not care about her emotions. Good riddance to bad rubbish. She sighed and felt a big relief come to her.
Phillip came to check on her later in the evening.
"Can I come in to see you and our baby?" He asked on phone before coming over. At that time, she was happy to hear his voice. She wanted nothing but stay with a man who cares for her and the baby growing in her tummy.
"Welcome Phillip, how are you doing?" Lilian asked as he entered the living room.
"I'm not sure how I feel. The coming of your man, John has scattered ours. I know I am suffering for my sins." Phillip replied with his head bent thinking of what to do. He looked emancipated and had been having sleepless nights.
"Phillip, I'm sorry for everything. Don't mind John please."
"You are funny, Lilian. I should not mind the man standing between me and my love." He shook his head in despair.
"Yes Phillip, John means nothing to me again." Lilian shared.
Phillip raised his head and his eyes lit up. He was gazing at Lilian as if he was seeing her for the very first time.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that I've nothing to do with John ever again. We can marry if that is okay by you!" Lilian said.
"Oh oh oh! Please be serious and mean what you are saying." Phillip raised his hand in protest. He couldn't believe his ears. It sounded too good to be true.
"I, Lilian has never been more serious. Please propose right now!" Lilian shouted in excitement.
Phillip knelt down, and asked," Will you marry me?"
"Yes, Yes, Yes!!!"
"Oh my God! Lilian is mine forever!!!" Phillip screamed as he picked up Lilian and placed her on the couch. He bent over and gave her a very hot kiss, gliding his tongue into hers as they both explore.
"I love you, Phillip, I simply love you." Lilian groaned in pleasure.
"I knew it from the very first day that you are mine. Though I was somehow confused about you, because I was about to wed. Now I am so sure you are meant for me. Thank you baby for accepting to be mine. I'm going to be yours forever. No more ladies in my life." Phillip moaned softly, caressing her lips with his.
"Phillip love, you have to make sure you fulfill your vow. I see this as a solemn vow to me." Lilian declared, enjoying every moment of this.
"One thing is sure, you are mine finally. I won John and everyone."
Derin entered the living room with Isaac and met them on the couch. The four of them broke into laughter.
"Wow, Phillip has won the battle!" Derin screamed.
"Yeah, and Isaac too." Phillip yelled.
"Well, well, you love birds, get up and go to the altar. Go and seal this before another man comes to disturb our peace." Derin declared.
"You know that life is a test, whatever had occurred only came to test our love. True love has prevailed at last. This has been trying but it's worth it. Life has a way of helping us to be stronger and better." Isaac spoke with wisdom.
"Hmm, the pastor has spoken." Phillip uttered.
