The discovery of corpses with bitten marks on the neck quickly became a hot topic across the country. There has been no formal confirmation from the police or the forensic team as of yet, but society has made its own assumptions. Citizen makes a wild guess about the existence of vampires who bite humans and drink their blood. There has been much speculation on social media by netizens that the current case indicates that there is a vampire living among them. Some members of society who do not believe in mythology creatures dismiss the speculation, but there are others who become concerned. What if vampires exist among them and endanger their lives? What if that cruel creature appears out of nowhere and murders their family? A lot of worries are running through their heads, making the atmosphere tense. The president even intervened to calm his people down so that no one would go crazy over speculation that has yet to be proven. He asks the citizen to keep a level head and respond to the case rationally, and to be patient until the investigation is completed. "I understand that many people are concerned about the current situation, but let us be wise about it. The government would do everything possible to protect the country and prevent any further casualties "As reporters questioned him about the current uproar, the president stated. "However, sir... Of course, we are hoping for the best. But what if vampires are real?" One of the reporters attempting to voice societal concern. "Then I invite any of you to report any suspicious people or movements that you believe are related to the vampire. We will assist in the investigation and make our people feel safe "Before leaving, the president makes a closing statement. Meanwhile, Song Jae Rim is at work and has been following the news about the president's statement. He also keeps track of netizens' concerns, which continue to dominate social media posts. He takes a deep breath and decides to turn off the television. His mind immediately went to Moon Ryeong. The lady hasn't contacted him since their last date. He is concerned that she will become depressed again as a result of the current situation, especially if she is aware of how people are discussing how to kill the vampire. At the other side, Lee Sung Gi visited the Forensic Departement Building, he received a report from the forensic team regarding the cause of death and the identity of the corpses. "According to the research, all of the deaths are caused by a lack of blood. We find no external or internal injuries that could have caused them to run out of blood, only the bitten scar on the neck. The scar is extremely deep, piercing major blood vessels, and we discover that all of the scars on the corpse are identical. So I believe it was caused by the same cause or by the same perpetrator "The detective is briefed on the findings of the forensic team. Sung Gi simply remained silent after hearing the explanation; the report he received only added to his suspicions. "This is a list of victim identities that we receive. They all have different backgrounds and ages, and their backgrounds are nothing alike "The forensic scientist hands Sung Gi a document, which the detective opens and carefully reads. "And we also find, in the only corpse that has not been completely burned compared to the others... We find a strange DNA that we have never encountered in any human before, it is two anticoagulant toxins that are similar but yet different from draculin and DSPA (Desmodus rotundas salivary plasminogen activator) which is usually found in vampire bats..." there is a long pause before the forensic scientist continues her explanation. Sung Gi comes to a halt and returns his attention to her. The woman appears to be hesitant to continue. "Do you believe vampires really exist?" she asks the detective skeptically. She doesn't believe there are vampires in the world, but the scars she discovered on the victim make her reconsider. The detective quickly closes the document and smiles at the scientist. "Didn't you say you're a rational person who doesn't like fantasy world?" Sung Gi interprets it as a joke to break the tension. The scientist is completely unaware that the person she is speaking with is a vampire. "However, even though I don't believe in mythology, I suppose it is possible to create a creature like that with genetic mutations using current technology and science development." She responds by arguing. Sung Gi falls silent; he never considers it, but she is correct. Nothing is impossible now. "Well, thank you for your efforts; I'll look into the corpse's identity right away." Before there is any further discussion about vampires, the detective decides to leave. He waves goodbye with a bright smile. When he is outside, however, his expression changes. The forensic scientist's words weighed heavily on his mind. As he stated, Lee Sung Gi carefully examines the victim list he receives from the forensic team. Some of the victims are listed as missing people, while others are not. The victims are female and male, ranging in age from eighteen to forty years. They were unrelated, lived in different areas, and each had a different occupation. He later discovered that the victim who was not reported missing was actually homeless people. He tries so hard to find the similarities between the victims and to get the red string of how they could both be bitten by vampires and burned at the same time. But he comes up empty-handed. The victim is so random that it appears that the perpetrator simply chooses whoever they want to kill. But why is this so? He is completely unaware of the situation. Later that evening. Song Jae Rim brings his daughter to his parents' house and asks for their assistance in accompanying her for the night. That makes Ha Eun very happy. She hadn't spent the night at her grandparents' house in a long time. The chairman has a plan for the evening, but he doesn't want to leave the daughter at home or with the helper alone. That's why he instead takes the little girl to his parents. Jae Rim prepares a table for dinner in an open restaurant with a beautiful night-scape view. He chooses a table far away from the others in order to have a more private setting. He takes a deep breath after settling into his chair. He then neatened his tie and coats while waiting for the person who would join him later. An elegant woman in a black one-piece gown appears to walk closer to where Jae Rim is waiting. The chairman immediately stood up to greet the woman and prepare the chair for her. The woman sits down and thanks him. Tonight's dinner companion is Choi Moon Ryeong. With her nightgown and bold red lipstick, she appears poised and beautiful. When she is unfamiliar with the surroundings, she smiles awkwardly. "Where is Ha Eun?" she inquires. It is unusual for the chairman to take a vacation without his daughter. She used to spend time with all three of them, so she is surprised to see only Jae Rim there. "She'll be spending the night at my parents' house," the chairman informs her. He flashes a bright smile, but it appears awkward. Jae Rim is also experiencing unusual tension, which makes him feel more nervous than usual. Tonight is the special dinner he made for the two of them. Moon Ryeong responded with a nod. They don't say anything and begin eating their dinner, hoping to break the tension between them. Meanwhile, Helios is considering leaving the mansion and exploring the city. He is dressed in a black hoodie and has his head covered. His expression is rather gloomy. He passes through a lot of pedestrians quietly and blends in with the crowd. He then runs into some high school students and overhears their conversation. "Daebak!! Take a look at this video. Look at this lady!!" One of the high school boys caused a commotion after discovering an interesting video on his social media. "Wow. How could she send a man flying like that? Is that even conceivable?" The other person asks an unbelievable question. "Is this woman a vampire? Isn't a vampire extremely powerful?" They keep talking about the video they're watching. "Is the video not edited? Don't be fooled!" One of them is skeptical of the video's content. "However, if you read the comments, you will notice that many people admit to being witnesses when this incident occurred. This happened a month ago at Gyeongbokgung Palace. Is it possible that there are vampires among us? "They were terrified by the thought. Helios is drawn in by their conversation. They are discussing the lady vampire, which directly concerns him because it reminds the great vampire of Moon Ryeong's visit to the palace a month ago. Helios approaches the boys and grabs the phone with the video on it. "Ahjussi! What are you up to?" When a stranger abruptly takes away his phone, the student becomes enraged. He wants to hit the man who is bothering him. Helios, on the other hand, gives him a sharp and intimidating look. His chilling stare paralyzes the student, causing their lips to seal and them to take a step back. Helios pays close attention to the video. From the figure, he can tell that the lady in the video is Moon Ryeong. Fortunately, her face is not visible in the video. The incident is also recorded from a distance, making it difficult for people who don't know her to recognize her. He walks over to the comments section and reads them one by one. Some of them express their horror at the lady and inquire about Moon Ryeong's personality. They wish the lady vampire would be apprehended because they are terrified of her existence. Many netizens are also suspicious that the lady is the murderer in the current case. They are terrified because the vampire appears among them even on a bright day. "Was it you who took the video?" Helios asks the phone's owner in a commanding tone. His husky deep voice adds to his terror and gives the students goosebumps. "That's not...not...me! that's I just discovered it "The student in question gave a shattering response. Helios looks at each student one by one, lifting his chin. They all avoid making eye contact with them. "Who then records it?" He inquires further."We have no idea who recorded it! We swear!" The students are terrified as they observe the stranger man in front of them emitting a dark aura as if he is ready to kill them at any time. Helios closely examined them, and when he was convinced that they couldn't give him any more information, he decided to let it go. He dropped the phone in his hand and left them alone, allowing the students to breathe more easily. Meanwhile, Moon Ryeong casts an occasional glance at Jae Rim, who continues to fidget on his own. The lady has caught the man attempting to strike up a conversation with her, but he keeps backing away. So Moon Ryeong put down her spoon and decided to focus her entire attention on the man in front of him, patiently waiting. "Moon Ryeong-ssii..." Jae Rim, who is aware that he has made the lady wait, decides to begin the conversation. "Yes..." Moon Ryeong says softly. "I..." he pauses once more. Moon Ryeong's heart rate increased when he saw the man acting so nervously. "I've felt a sense of happiness and excitement for the first time in a long time since the day we met... You are like a spring that has come into my life after a long winter... When you're down, I want to be there for you. I want to share the best parts of my life with you. I want to spoil you whenever possible. I want to protect you and be your staunch ally... I want to be with you for the rest of my life... So... Do you want to marry me?" Jae Rim makes his proposal's final statement and pulls a box of rings from his pocket. Moon Ryeong is surprised by his actions. It's all too sudden; she never imagined a day when someone would propose to her in this manner. She is speechless when the man opens the box and reveals a diamond ring. She can't believe what she's seeing. "Jae Rim-ssi... But you are aware that I am not your average person... We were not meant to be together, especially after all of these events." Moon Ryeong becomes sad as she recalls the current case, which has vampires encroaching from all sides. If Jae Rim becomes involved with her, it will only endanger him. "That is precisely why I want you to stick by my side..." Jae Rim placed the ring on the table and extended his hand to take hers. He grips it tightly but delicately. "I want to be there for you and show you that even if the rest of the world turns their back on you, I will always be there for you. I don't want you to have to deal with all of these problems on your own. I can't leave you alone, Moon Ryeong-ssi "He stated this.Moon Ryeong frowns and smiles bitterly. "Do you know that there are a lot of people out there who want to kill me? I don't want to endanger you, and what about Ha Eun? I can't accept you and take a risk on you for this "Moon Ryeong is adamant. "Then let us protect one another... Moon Ryeong-ssi... I couldn't care less about what other people said or did. I don't mind that we're different and that our fate may separate us. But I want to be with you as long as I am able... So, could you please? Moon Ryeong-ssi, marry me..." The man grips her hand even tighter, and Moon Ryeong is speechless. She was moved by his actions and determination to risk everything to be by her side. But could she really accept him?
