I Would...

Moon Ryeong has departed from the mansion. She has no intention of ever returning and turning back to Helios. She tries to figure out why she insists on spending centuries by his side. Is it true that she did it out of remorse for him? She doesn't fully comprehend her intention. But now she is deeply disappointed, and her trust has crumbled. She doesn't want to give him another chance.
She has no idea where to go now that she has left his side. She never has a place for herself. She now realizes that the only place she can return to after all of this time is a special place he set up for her. But that place is no longer available to her. She comes to a halt and considers, decides, or where she needs to go now. When she recalls someone she believes can accept her.
The lady decides to visit Jae Rim's home. She stands silently in front of his door, unsure whether this is the right choice for her. However, the lady eventually decides to ring the bell.
The chairman appears and opens the door, pleased to see the lady standing in front of his door. But when he notices his expression, his smile fades and is replaced by concern. Moon Ryeong appears depressed and tired. It perplexes the man as to what happened to her.
"Can I... stay with you?" she asks, a little hesitantly. Jae Rim does not give him direct answers because he is still trying to understand what she means. The lady doesn't say anything else and just waits for him to respond; her gaze is blank, and he concludes that something must have happened to cause the lady to flee the mansion.
Jae Rim gently touches her arm and opens the door wider for her.
"Come on in... You'd always be welcome here "He finally brings Moon Ryeong inside and asks the lady to wait on the couch. He then goes to the kitchen to make her a warm drink to cheer her up.Jae Rim placed the glass in front of her on the table once the drink was ready. He believes there is something in her mind that is weighing on her heart. And the fact that she has left the mansion implies that it is linked in some way to Helios, the great vampire.
"Ha Eun will be on vacation with my parents. They are very excited to spend so much time together. She even stated that she would like to stay longer and skip school. That defiant little girl "Jae Rim tries to talk about Ha Eun to cheer her up; she is always interested in hearing about his daughter. Moon Ryeong, on the other hand, does not comment on his story and simply nods. As he fails to cheer her up, the chairman smiles emphatically.
"I'll set aside a room for you to stay in. You are welcome to stay as long as you want "Before leaving, the chairman taps her on the shoulder to prepare a special room for her.
Jae Rim prepares a guest room for Moon Ryeong; in fact, the room is clean and there isn't much to clean. But, before she enters, he wants to make sure there is nothing in the room that would make her feel uneasy. He is meticulous in preparing a special room for her, and he is delighted that Moon Ryeong has decided to stay with him now. He was concerned about allowing her to remain so close to the cruel vampire. He is concerned that the vampire will in any way harm her.
He goes out to check on her once the room is ready. The drink he made for her is still untouched and rests in the same spot he left it. As he realizes this, he sighs deeply. Moon Ryeong has spent the entire time staring at a wooden knife she is holding. The knife tip is stained with blood, a red color. Jae Rim is actually curious as to why she is still holding the knife and whose blood it is. But, because he is confident that she is not the one who is in pain, he decides not to press the issue any further. He is aware that Moon Ryeong is not in a position to engage in conversation with him.
Before approaching her, the man put on his best smile to conceal his concern; he doesn't want the lady to feel more depressed if he doesn't show his happy state.
"Let's go, the room is ready..." Jae Rim reached out his hand to assist the lady in standing. Moon Ryeong is staring at his palm, which is right in front of her. Her gaze was then drawn to his face, where the man always smiled at her. Moon Ryeong pulls a thin smile on her lips in response to his gesture. She slowly takes his hand in hers and rises. The two of them proceed to the room that has been prepared for her.
"Take a break; if you need anything, call me..." As the lady entered the room, Jae Rim said. Moon Ryeong takes a look around the room. It is neat and clean, with plenty of sunlight. The door leads to the garden, which has a pound outside. When she is bored inside, she can go out to the garden. This is a pleasant place for her to stay.
"Thank you..." she expresses gratitude for Jae Rim's efforts in everything. The man smiles and closes the door, allowing Moon Ryeong to have her own private time.
The lady takes a deep breath and sits on the edge of the bed. She then looked down at the sunsa knife in her hand, recalling the event that had occurred between her and Helios hours before. She recalls his agonizing words and expression as he stabbed his chest with the knife and caused himself to bleed. She is certain that the knife wound will not heal on its own without the assistance of sunsa powder. She begins to wonder if he has already treated his wound, but quickly shakes her head. She prefers not to think about him. Moon Ryeong then placed the knife in a cabinet beside the bed before laying down and turning her back.
Meanwhile, Areum is now in a darkened room with little natural light. Inside the large room with a strong odor of chemical compounds, there are numerous laboratory instruments. On the corner room, there are activated centrifuges and a red liquid in a chemical glass that is set up with the bunsen burner. A long lineage of extraction equipment was also turned on. She notices a flow of water on the transparent tube before the part that can drop a liquid into an erlenmeyer.
A middle-aged man in a white scientist's robe, showing his back and conducting his experiment. He simply uses a pippet tube to extract a new extracted formula from Erlenmeyer.
"Do you meet with the vampire I created and sent to the mansion?" the man inquires of the young maid as she approaches.
"...yes" Areum can only give him a brief response to his question.
"How is he doing? You are the living proof that he can follow my orders correctly. I showed him your photos and warned him not to kill you. Everything has gone well "The scientist beams triumphantly as he sees a bright light from his long-running experiment.
"Father..." she says slowly. When his daughter called for him, the man came to a halt in his activities. His smile fades as he suspects she will say something unpleasant to him soon.
"Why? Will you tell me again that you can't do this to Helios? We are nearly finished. Don't ever become a stumbling block in my path because of your meaningless feelings for the vampire "Another stern warning from her father.
"But... Isn't doing something like this to him too cruel?" Areum begs her father to have mercy on Helios.
"BRAKKKK!!!" the man slammed his palm against the table, preventing her from continuing to speak.
"I'd been planning everything for twenty years! I've been looking for a pure blood vampire to fulfill this dream! And now that I've found him, you want me to stop? Whatever you say, I'll keep using that vampire to make this big dream come true!" Inside the laboratory, his rage is echoing.
"Be my guess if you want to take his side. I'll send my army to capture him tomorrow. Imagine if we could use his pure blood to create a powerful, invincible army in the future. We would never be defeated by any of our adversaries "He walks towards the large glass window on the far side of the room.
There, he can observe his subordinates working on the formula he is developing for a better future. At least tens of people in white scientist robes take a bloody red formula from a tube and inject the liquid in it. They then proceed to a sleeping subject, who is mostly a man with a muscular body sleeping on a hard metal bed. There are over twenty objects in an unconscious state.
Their feet and hands are chained to the bedside with a thick and strong chain to prevent them from moving. The scientists then administers the injection and injects the liquid into the subject's body. A formula that would cause a DNA mutation on their implant, transforming the subject into an unbeatable vampire.
"Isn't it amusing? That vampire possesses a strength that no one in this world can match. But he is too stupid and blinded by his love for the lady, which causes him to become a pitiful creature with a weak heart," the scientist says, recalling the tragic love story of the vampire.
"I just want to send him a sample to see how strong and capable my subject is. Who would have guessed the lady would be there to witness him slaughtering my army? She must believe Helios is the one who murdered everyone there. It killed two birds with one stone. We can finally get her off his back, and now that no one is by his side... That pitiful vampire will weaken even more. Make it easier for us to apprehend him "The scientist snickers at the high likelihood of success he sees in the near future.
Areum, on the other hand, is staring at her father with a broken heart. She can't take it any longer. As a result, she decides to leave the scientist, who is preoccupied with his success at the expenditure of others.
The sun has set, and Jae Rim has just finished preparing dinner for him and Moon Ryeong. He prepares the best meal he can and properly sets the mood. He then approaches the lady's room and prepares to knock. It reminds him of their first meeting when he brought Moon Ryeong to his temporary residence in Paris. He was also preparing a meal for her at the time and was hesitant to knock on her door. He smiled to himself as he remembered the memory.
Moon Ryeong opens the door even though he hasn't knocked. She is surprised to see the man standing tall in front of the door, and he is surprised to see the lady appear out of nowhere. Moon Ryeong appears to have just taken a bath, as a pleasant and fresh scent emanates from her body.
The lady looks over Jae Rim's shoulder at the dining table and finds a ready-made dinner for the two of them.
"I intend to assist you in preparing dinner," she says regretfully. She'd dozed off after dealing with her depression. She takes a bath as soon as she wakes up and wants to prepare dinner with the chairman, but she appears to be late.
"Don't worry, you can still assist me tomorrow." Jae Rim grabs her shoulders and gently pushes her toward the dining table. Moon Ryeong does not appear as depressed as before, which makes Jae Rim feel better as well.
Jae Rim assisted her in taking a seat on the chair, and then sat in another chair next to her. The lady smiles warmly at his gesture. Jae Rim takes her hand in his and raises it above the table. He checks on her diamond ring and strokes it with his thumb. He is thankful that the ring fits her perfectly.
"You previously allowed me to put the ring on your finger, which made me happy... But why am I becoming more avaricious now?" Jae Rim inquires sweetly. Moon Ryeong tilts her head, perplexed by the meaning of his words.
"I want to hear it straight from your mouth. Moon Ryeong-ssi... I'm worried because you haven't given me a direct answer yet. I'd like to confirm my place in your life... I don't care if my present feels like a fleeting breeze in your long life; as long as I live, I want to give you all of my time and love you wholeheartedly... Would you like to marry me?" For the second time, the chairman proposes to her.
Previously, she did not respond properly to him. But when Jae Rim asked her to put the ring on her finger, she agreed. She was also curious about what it would be like to wear a diamond ring with a special meaning on her finger. She feels special when someone she cares about places the ring on her finger as a symbol of his love. It feels lovely.
But now the man asks her a direct question. Moon Ryeong is unsure of herself. Would she really deserve his love and affection in this way? It's not like she doesn't appreciate Jae Rim lavishing her with his love and tenderness. But she is afraid that she will not be able to show him the same love that he has shown her.
The lady suddenly recalls what Lee Sung Gi told her and carefully considers it. When the male vampire told her about his experiment of marrying a human, he appeared to be overjoyed. She, too, wishes to experience the same joy. She wishes to forget the misery that has enslaved her for centuries. She now wishes to let go of all the dark feelings in her heart and welcome a new life.
"I would..." she finally accepts his proposal and gives him the biggest smile.

Pretence often creates distance between people and reality. While it can serve a purpose—like protecting feelings or navigating social situations—over time, it tends to erode trust and authenticity. Genuine connection usually thrives in honesty.
