Torn Trust

Moon Ryeong gets out of a car and stops in front of a unique old europian style building with a large yard surrounding it. It is a European restaurant that has been popular throughout the country for more than a decade. She can see from the outside that the restaurant is packed with customers. The building itself is not particularly large, but it provides a pleasant atmosphere for visitors.
The lady approaches and enters the building. The worker greets her as soon as she steps inside. Inside the restaurant, there is a bar and tables for couples or groups on the other side. With so many people inside, she is trying to find the person who asked her to meet there. She is so focused on finding him that a man walking in a hurry bumps into her.
"I'm so sorry," the young man quickly apologized for his errors. Moon Ryeong looks at the young man who collided with her and is taken aback when she sees his face.
His face is so familiar to her; he shares the same features as her late husband, King Lee Yoon. However, this young man appears careless and unconcerned about his appearance. He has long, messy hair with a middle split and bangs. But his smile is still reminiscent of the late king.
"I'm sorry, but I'm in a hurry. I require the use of a restroom "When Moon Ryeong was just staring at him silently, the young man said. Moon Ryeong nodded and motioned for the young man to leave. She followed his departure until he vanished. She still can't believe she'll meet someone with the same virtues as her late husband there.
Choi Moon Ryeong turns around and decides to keep looking for the person she wants to meet for lunch. She notices Lee Sung Gi waiting for her at the group table with a young girl. Sung Gi extended his right hand in greeting to the lady. His gesture drew the attention of the girl sitting in front of him, who had previously only shown her back to Moon Ryeong. The girl then turns around to see who Sung Gi is greeting.
Kim Min Seol, Lee Sung Gi's great grand daughter, is accompanying him. When she sees Moon Ryeong, she immediately stands up and smiles at the lady who has joined them for lunch. Moon Ryeong is stunned once more to see another old familiar face. Min Seol resembles her great grandmother, Lee Sung Gi's lover.
"Jeon Yang Sun?" Mon Ryeong inquires, perplexed, how long it has been three centuries. Did Sung Gi also turn his lover into a vampire so she could live as long as them? But she never imagined Sung Gi could do something like that, even though he loves her. She believed Sung Gi would never be able to bite his lover and turn her into a vampire in order to live as a bloodsucker monster like him.
"No, I am not. My name is Kim Min Seol, and I'm his great-granddaughter. Didn't we have a striking resemblance? That's probably why my great grandfather considers me his favorite. I constantly remind him of his wife "Min Seol beams and boasts about having the same face as her great grandmother.
Moon Ryeong nods, relieved that Sung Gi is indeed the person she had imagined. The man invites the lady to join him by taking a seat. When she sits down, they begin to plan their lunch menu. Min Seol orders a large meal that could fill the stomachs of three adults.
"I don't order it for myself; another person who eats a lot will join us." Even though the lady does not inquire, the young girl explains to Moon Ryeong. As a result, Moon Ryeong simply nods silently without comment.
"Ah! There he is "Min Seol motions toward a young man approaching their table. Moon Ryeong is taken aback when she notices that the man who has joined them is the same man who reminds her of the late King Lee Yoon. The man who has the same face as her late husband.
"Ah! So you're the lady who comes to lunch with us. Shim Changmin imnida, Annyeonghaseo imnida "The young man approaches the lady and introduces himself. Moon Ryeong says little and only nods slowly. Sung Gi examines Moon Ryeong's expression carefully.
"Isn't it amazing? We can see an old face that takes us back in time "The vampire remark. He realizes how much Lee Yoon holds a special place in Moon Ryeong's heart. As a result, the lady may find it difficult to look at Changmin's face, which is identical to his.
Moon Ryeong, on the other hand, never expected to feel the way she does now when she meets the rencarnation of his late beloved husband. She was afraid she would become overwhelmed, and her heart is torn. But she is only surprised to see him for the first time. But now that they're sitting at the same table, she doesn't feel any of the sensations she expected to feel.
"So you married Yang Sun and started a family?" Instead, the lady switches the subject to Lee Sung Gi's love life.
"Yes, I have a daughter and a son from our marriage," Sung Gi replies melancholy, recalling his late wife.In the past, Lee Sung Gi married his lover, who is a ordinary human. His marriage produced vampire descendants, as well as a normal human descendant. Yang Sun died of natural causes when she was old, followed by her human son. Their daughter then marries and has children who are half vampire and half human.
The more marriage that happened between vampire and human make the desendant has less posibility to become a vampire. Yang Sun is the youngest desendant from Lee Sung Gi currently, while his daughter and his other grandson and grand daughter live somewhere all around the place. They just sometime reunite to spend the time with the big family. The desendants of Sung Gi and Yang Sun three decades ago at least reach fifty and leaving half of them still living because of vampire nature inside them.
"My father is a vampire who run this restaurant for a decades. There is he!" Min Seol waves her hand when she saw a handsome man who works in the kitchen who she claims as her father. The man waves back to his daughter and show his respect to Lee Sung Gi, his grandfather. From the appearance, the grandafather and grandson doesn't seem has a long gape of age. Both of them appear as someone on their thirty.
"That old man stay single for almost a decade until he met my mother, but when she died, he doesn't want to marry again. Does vampire really have to be loyal to their partner like that?" Min Seol ask curiously because both of her great grandfather and father doesn't marry again after their wife died. She is sure if they want it, they can easily charm any other woman and marry her. Both are handsome in appearance.
"Aren't you feel lonely after Yang Sun's death? It must pain you so much to witness your beloved person become old and occasionally die to live you all alone again" Moon Ryeong express her curiousity. She think she wouldn't able to bear watching her partner grow old by his self then meeting his end when she stay young but can't do anything to save him.
"The death can't be avoided. That's why when Yang Sun still alive, I never want to thinking about her death someday. I choose to cherish the moment I have with them. When I know that someday she might leave me alone, I can love her more and give all of my love for her so I don't have any regret when we have to be separated by death in the end" Sung Gi show a glimpse of sadness when he remember his wife but there is also a clear happiness on his face because he able to give his best for her.
Moon Ryeong fall silent with his respond, there are a lot of thing she is thinking about what he said.
"Why? Are you asking because of that person? Song Jae Rim?" Sung Gi inquires, perplexed. Moon Ryeong is taken aback when he suddenly brings up Jae Rim in the conversation. The vampire points to the diamond ring on her finger, implying that the man may propose to her.
"Ah..." Moon Ryeong was embarrassed when he noticed her wearing the diamond ring Jae Rim had given her to propose to her. She makes an attempt to conceal it.
"You're getting married... Congratulation" Changmin smiles as he congratulates Moon Ryeong. Moon Ryeong smiled as he saw his face congratulating her in such a way. She is content in some way.
"Anyway! What brings us here?" Moon Ryeong switches the subject. She is certain that the discussion about love and marriage is not the main reason Sung Gi asked to meet her there and bring the two youngster with him.
"We find a corpse of a vampire in the forest who was shot with a sunsa bullet," Min Seol explains to Moon Ryeong.
"I request that my acquintance conduct research on the vampire body. She discovered that the vampire's DNA is similar to the victim's DNA. There is a good chance that both cases are related "Sung Gi continues to explain.
Previously, he had given Kwon Ah In his own blood as well as Min Seol's father's as a comparison. Lee Sung Gi was once a human who became a vampire after being bitten by Helios, and his grandson is a natural half vampire. They want to investigate how the corpse became a vampire because Helios is the only vampire by birth. As a result, they reasoned that the corpse might have the possibility of the previous two possibilities.
However, after conducting research and comparing them, Kwon Ah In finds no similarities. The corpse they discovered is not a half-vampire from a vampire-human marriage, nor is it a human who was bitten by a vampire. Sung Gi has a source of vampire DNA around his neck in case he is bitten by Helios before. Even the scar he gets there has healed, but there is a mark there that can be seen with an X-ray. But they discover nothing of the sort on the body.
Rather than the mark on the neck, they discovered a scar caused by an injection so close to his heart. The corpse appears to have been a human before being injected with something that turned him into a vampire. It is an unnatural way to transform someone into a vampire. Kwon Ah In believes that the process involves a DNA mutation. But she has no idea what the formula is that was injected into his body to turn him into a vampire.
For the time being, the only assumption they can make is that someone or some organization is attempting to conduct an experiment to turn humans into vampires, but they don't know why or for what purpose. They are certain, however, that the experiment could endanger any human being anywhere in the country or even the world.
"So you found proof that Helios is not the perpetrator of the current case?" Moon Ryeong comes to a conclusion.Sung Gi falls silent; he doesn't want her to think about that.
"We still don't know if Helios is the culprit, but there's a good chance he isn't," the detective says, unable to reach a definitive conclusion about the case.
"It is not our primary goal to prove Helios' innocence. We need to figure out who is the mastermind behind everything and stop them before they bring more destruction here. That is more significant." Sung Gi stressed the importance of his tone.
"I recognize the significance of this. Please excuse me for the time being. I need to meet with Helios to discuss this "Moon Ryeong immediately rose from her seat. She really wants to tell Helios how relieved she is that there is evidence that he is not the one who massacred the people on the mountain.
Moon Ryeong immediately left the restaurant and took a taxi to the mansion. She can move at the speed of light and arrive at the mansion in no time, but she doesn't want to risk being apprehended by humans, especially since they are currently terrified of her presence.
When the taxi arrived at the gate, Moon Ryeong stepped out with a smile on her face. But then she smells a reek metallic and sweet odor mixed with vomit and sweat. Moon Ryeong is certain she can detect a strong odor of blood throughout the mansion. She entered the mansion right away, only to be taken aback by the view in front of her.
She discovers at least five corpses of the mansion's maid and servant lying on the ground with blood splattered all over the place. She then enters the building and discovers more corpses inside. It appears that there is a genocide that occurred in the mansion and the victim is her maid and servant.
Her gaze was drawn to the upstairs, where Helios's room was located. All of the joy she felt in her heart was replaced by a raging rage and a strong suspicion of the great vampire. Moon Ryeong rushes upstairs and into the Helios room. When she opened the door, she discovered something else that aggravated her.
"Craakkk!!" Helios just simply broke the neck of a man dressed in servant garb and rolled his head down on the floor.
She can't believe her eyes; he promised her he would never kill another innocent person again. But now she sees it with her own eyes as he slaughters every human being in the mansion.
Helios' pupil turns red, indicating that he is in his vampire state. His clothes have all become stained with blood. He takes a deep breath after killing the last remaining victim with his own hand. When he raises his head, he is surprised to see Moon Ryeong standing there staring at him with rage in her eyes.
Helios dropped the headless body to the floor, stunned, and looked at Moon Ryeong. She just saw him kill someone again after making a promise to her. She believes in him and wishes to place her hope in him. She wants to believe that he can truly change. But now everything has come to an end.

Pretence often creates distance between people and reality. While it can serve a purpose—like protecting feelings or navigating social situations—over time, it tends to erode trust and authenticity. Genuine connection usually thrives in honesty.
