"We're going to the club." Paulina replies to her brother. "Hana has never been to a club before, I'm going to help her have fun and become more sociable."
What? Does she think I'm not sociable just because I don't run my mouth like her?
Carlo slightly scrunch with his face, looking hesitant to respond like he doesn't like the idea, but in the end he just he shrugs, "I'm not going to be a snitch but you two are on your own if brother Sergio finds out about this."
And with this, Carlo leaves the room, slamming the door behind him.
Now I really think Paulina's brothers are all full of arrogance and pride, Haru is the only one who is so warm and different from them. Haru's personality reminds me of Master Tae Ho.
Which makes me remember the incident once again. I still don't fully understand why the heist did not affect Master Tae Ho. But something in my mind tells me that Federico probably ignored Master Tae Ho because he doesn't consider him a powerful enemy like Master Jin.
Maybe that's why Federico didn't bother to force Derrick to give him the access card to floor 7. But I have a feeling that if it were Master Jin, Federico will have either kill him or get killed by him if they had found him present in the estate.
That pompous Master Jin probably knew they were coming that's why he ran away and left us all in a big trouble.
A part of my mind wants to point fingers at him. The whole thought makes me huff as I roll my eyes.
"Come on, what are you waiting for," Paulina pulls my arm straight into her walk in wardrobe which is also a universe of it's own.
I don't want to look like an idiot so I try to hold my reaction, pretending like everything is normal. But I'm seriously in awe.
The walk in wardrobe is almost bigger than her room, with so many different sections; for outing dresses, casual clothings, handbags, shoes, accessories, make up, and what have you.
"Take a look at this, it looks like your size." The girl is holding up a beautiful blue dress. "Come and try it on. We need to hurry up so we'll have time to go to noraebang (Karaoke>>Singing room)."
"Are you sure it's okay if I take that? I have some new dresses given to me by Haru, I can wear one of them."
"Haru bought you a dress?"
"Eoh. Four dresses. Why?"
"I'm just surprised. You have to wear this one since I'm the one giving it to you. And we're friends, aren't we?"
"Yes." I smile at her and take the dress.
After I change into it, I step out, twirling around to show Paulina how the dress fit me. She can't stop giggling as she hurry up and bring a set of earrings for me to try on.
"Perfect." She sighs dreamily. "Those earrings look like they were specially made for you."
"Don't say that." I smile, trying to be humble.
Paulina walks to her shoe cabinet and takes out a black high heels and hand them over to me. "Try this too." She says.
I'm about to decline and tell her that I'll prefer to wear one of the flat shoes Haru bought for me, but for some unknown reason, I don't mention it.
Maybe I should just go with the heels. I make my decision.
Paulina takes out her phone and call someone. She talks in Italian, I did not hear what she says but right after she drops the phone, she tells me that she has told the driver to get the car ready.
She hurries up and takes another dress from the hanger. It's pink and beautiful too, she changes into the dress and we both put on some make up on our faces before we finally leave the room.
I'm feeling tensed as I follow her down the corridor, my heart beating so fast. I'm afraid that Sergio might just show up any moment to stop me from going out.
I drop a long sigh immediately after we reach the main exit of the house. The sun is out, the sky is bright and it feels weirdly nice to be outdoors. Have I been imprisoned for my whole life? Why does it feel strangely nice to be outside as if it's something that special?
The car is a tinted black SUV just like the ones I've seen before with the customized plate numbers. Same inscription: Alfonso. I can't believe I'm now living with the same people who happen to be the cause of my problems. They kidnapped Kai and forced me to go and ask that scumbag for help. I wouldn't have gone to Min if the Alfonsos hadn't taken away my brother.
I feel like rubbing off my sour mood on Paulina, but another mind tells me that it's not her fault. It's the fault of her brother, Sergio or maybe their Father, I'm not sure who among the two was the boss back then.
The driver is a bulky man, obviously Italian. His chest is arrogantly puffed out with pride in the black suit he's wearing. I can see the outline of a gun in the pocket of his trouser.
The man only greets Paulina as he opens the door, and oh, is something wrong with his armpits that he doesn't want to drop his arm completely? Does he have an infected cyst or something?
Aish, that's not my business. I better mind my business and start planning on how to escape.
But escape to where?
We don't have a home anymore, our stuffs have been kicked out by the landlord. So where will I go even if I leave this place?
To the Dante Estate.
But I'm not sure the Dante Estate is a place for me anymore after what has happened to us. They can't even keep the girls safe, they couldn't stop Federico from killing people and dragging I and Areum away.
Uptill now, I don't even know if Areum is fine. I plan to talk to Haru and see if he will agree to tell Federico to free Areum wherever she is.
That place is not a place for me anymore. To get power, I need to stuck up with the more powerful side. I don't care that the Alfonsos are like the antagonists to the Dantes. Since the Dantes have failed to protect us, I am not going back there anymore.
I am going to stuck up with Haru even if I don't look at him the way he looks at me. He looks at me like a woman, but I'm not sure of how I feel about him.
Haru seems powerful and at least he's more respectful to me than Master Jin. He's the right person I need to hold onto.
I am going to stay with the Alfonsos and find out the truth about Kai and what happened to my real parents. This will be my mission for now.
