Master Jin takes out his gun and throws it on the bathroom floor. He put his hands up in surrender, his eyes fixed on Sergio. "I'm not here to fight you. I told you I'm here for the girl."
Sergio blurts out a short, sarcastic laugh and shifts his gun to aim at Master Jin on the head. "If you want the girl, you're going to give me the Codice Segreto or you watch her die."
My knees are beginning to shake with fear. The dizziness in my head is not helping matters at all. I don't know why my memory is becoming strange these days but I think it has to do with the heist that happened back at the Dante Estate. That experience is triggering a nasty part of my memory.
"Hana!"
I shriek as the voice rings in my ear. I realize it's Master Jin talking to me. "Oh. S-sorry come again?"
"I said get dressed." He throws a shirt to me and I quickly catch it. My mind has been wandering too much, I didn't notice when he took his shirt off. Right now, he only has his trousers on and Sergio is still pointing a gun at him.
"Why are you doing this?" I ask Sergio and he frowns at me.
"I gave you so many chances to avoid situations like this." He scoffs. "It's too late for you and that brother of yours."
"Look, I know this is not the right time to say this, but can you all go out and give me some privacy to get dressed?"
"What?" Sergio cocks his head and gives me a mocking look. "Hya. You're not even beautiful enough for any man to want to look at you. Put on the shirt and stop wasting my time!"
"Opportunistic scumbag." Master Jin mutters as he throws a dangerous glare at Sergio. "A woman is a woman regardless of your beauty standard. She deserves some privacy to get dressed, unless you're a pervert who just want to use the opportunity to look at a naked woman."
"Aishh. So frustrating." Sergio hisses out of annoyance. "Fine. Go on and get dressed. You better don't try anything stupid or your brother will die." He glares at me before he takes several steps forward and picks up Master Jin's gun. "Follow me out. If you make one wrong move, you're dead meat you too." This time, he direct his threats to Master Jin before he begins to move backward until they're both completely out of the bathroom.
After the door slams shut, I start looking around the bathroom space in hopes of finding a weapon or something to use to my advantage. This place is no more a safe haven since Sergio has revealed his true intentions. I don't even know if I can trust Haru or Paulina or anyone else. I've experienced enough betrayal. All I want to do is to run back home.
Wait. Home? The thought hit me hard. Aishh! I don't even have a home anymore. The landlord has kicked out all our belongings.
I sigh as I put on Master Jin's shirt which makes me look smaller than I am. I hate it. That's why I can't intimidate anyone of them. They're looking down at my height and treating me like I don't exist.
I walk out of the bathroom only to find the room empty. The men are gone. I run to the door and try to open it but it looks like Sergio has locked me from the outside.
Shit! What do I do now?
Moving to the window, I peep down and noticed the security men on patrol. It means I can't even escape through the window. And even if I can, I don't have anywhere else to go from here. The Dante estate is not a safe haven either. Everywhere is messed up. My life is all messed up and nothing can bring it back to how it used to be.
Tears roll down from my eyes knowing that I can't go anywhere and I can't help myself anymore. But crying is pointless so I try not to wallow in my self pity.
The clothes I picked out before entering the shower are still on the bed so I change out of Master Jin's shirt and put on my pants and shirt before falling onto the bed.
I can't believe Master Jin came all the way here to take me back to the estate. He's such a reckless fool. Does he like me or what?
Aishh! I'm so frustrated. This won't do. I have to at least make sure that Sergio will not kill Master Jin and Kai. The Mafias are heartless and other people's lives means nothing to them.
While I'm trying to think of a way out, my eyes falls on a hair pain sitting on the dressing wardrobe. It's among the stuffs that Haru bought for me. I pick the hair pin and pluck out it's sharp part. I've never done what I'm about to do but I have to try it anyway.
I push the pin into the keyhole and start turning and twisting it around. After a while, nothing is working and I'm getting so worked up and impatient.
I need to make it happen. I need to get out of this room. Kai needs me. I can't abandon him just because Sergio has planted a seed of doubt in my heart. I'm sure that Kai is a good person no matter what he might've done in the past. I'm sure he has his reasons for everything he does.
Gathering my focus, I push the pin inside the keyhole again and wriggle it once more. There's a sound of something like a click in the hole which makes me stop what I'm doing.
It sounds like someone is trying to open up.
Before I can move back, the door fiercely opens and smash me across the face. I fall down on the floor, feeling the pain as it spreads all over my face. My nose stings.
"Hana ya! Oh my God, are you okay?" It's Haru, holding me down and panicking with worry. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were at the door, I'm so sorry Hana."
"It's okay." I manage to speak with my hand over my nose because I'm anticipating a nosebleed. "Please help me, Haru. Sergio is going to hurt my brother and my Master. Please take me to see Kai and Master Jin."
Haru's soft expression slowly morphs into a cold look. The concern on his face has vanish and all that remains is a cold expression of a man I've never seen before. "Kai is not your brother, he has no blood relationship with you." He says, in an angry voice. "Lorenzo is not your Master either. I am your Master, Hana. You belong to me."
What is wrong with those Mafia men? Do they think I'm a property they can keep for themselves? Why is Haru acting like a scumbag too when I thought he was different?
