Special Chapter, The Past (Æ's) Part 1

Two Hashira have been teleported out of the world and are currently fighting a glitch mob that is much older than them both. They both have the energy of the Dark and Good side dragons. They can perform it and use it as a fighting style for their swords, earning them the title Hashira, but that is not the only reason they are called Hashira's.
ÆKenki and ÆKatsuki don't have Æ names to begin with, and no one recognizes them. They had been friends since childhood, but when they reached adolescence, one of them turned against the other. They fight the Dark Mobs over and over again, accepting countless missions and completing them all without fail. They were unstoppable duos for the others. Both were referred to as the dragons' evil and good wrath.
They were never called those words in the first place. They were just children having fun with sticks. They were trained as children, but before that, they were abused by their father and family, which led to this. They both have a dark past that they will never be able to forget. They become swordsmen, but the people despise them. However, previous and current leaders have their backs and will assist them in obtaining what is right for them.
It's difficult for them to defend those who have harmed them. The leaders decided to relocate them to another country. The direction east. Where the current ruler is Shimodo Rou's father. That is where they were recognized and earned their title.
(Becoming a Hashira is their final mission.)
Two swordsmen are walking out of the front gate to the east. Four swordsmen stood there silently staring at them. Kenki and Katsuki were the names of the two swordsmen. Kenki was dressed in a black kimono, while Katsuki was dressed in a bright yellow kimono. Katsuki wears the bright yellow dragon swords guard on his left waist, complete with sword and sheath. Kenki wears his dark dragon sword guard on his right waist, along with his entire sword and sheath. They're both wearing masks with the same colors as their sword guards.
They were both wearing cloaks, making them appear far above anyone who disagreed with them. They both appear terrifying, but the four swordsmen see no danger in them. They were straightforward.
"Katsuki... Have you seen it? The heads are strange lately, they are super busy with all of those papers on their tables," he said, not looking at him but the sky.
"Yeah, since Shimodo Rou's father died. It's sad that our I guess mentor has died. Without him, there's no us. You probably remember his last words while we're crying. He said that we need to fulfill our job until the very end. That's his only wish. To the current Shiras, Hashiras, Special Swordsmen and Swordswomen, regular swordsmen and soldiers, Generals, and many more who protect the village. The village mourned his death, and we both sobbed in front of his tomb. But I think he'll be pleased to see that! " Katsuki said as he walked away, and Kenki quickly taps him on the shoulder with his right hand, attempting to calm him down.
"He's watching us and guiding us from the heavens, and you know he's a Goodman, and we can confirm that after all these years, we've only killed these creatures, or I'd say beings trying to conquer our world," Kenki said solemnly, causing Katsuki to stop crying slowly.
"Oh yeah... I forgot to tell you something. The new head Shimodo Rou gave me a scroll that said this will be our last mission. We are both heading to the hidden continent secretly. The soldiers behind us guarding the village only know that we are going on a mission somewhere near us," Katsuki said in a normal voice as his sad face faded and he entered smiling.
"W-wait... WHAT?! Last mission, are you kidding me right now?!" Kenki exclaimed angrily, staring at Katsuki as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Yes, he said he has a better explanation and if we manage to go back alive we are getting promoted, I don't know what's Shira's next but the only thing I know is Hashira is known to be the highest rank. Currently, our Hashira's are out, and only the Shira's are there to protect the village I don't know what the hecks that about." Katsuki replied as he raised his head and look at the giant branches and leaves as soon as they reaches the forest.
"Yes, the Hashira's! The only thing we both know is that we both saw Fukeshin Gakure get taken down by those Hashira's. I can't believe how strong they are! Like they are in a completely different dimension! I believe that their eyes can stop time and see our movement and even sense but we can also do that!" Kenki smiled and giggled.
"Yes, but then they can go beyond any borders they're currently on... It's almost as if they're watching us and letting us through and having fun," Katsuki worriedly explained.
"Oh, Katsuki, about that scroll... Let's open it," Kenki said as they came to a halt near the forest and shadows. Katsuki made an expressionless face at Kenki as the guards stared at them from a distance. He took the scroll from his pocket and unrolled it.
They both looked at it with serious expressions. Their eyes widened as they read the first letters. While Katsuki reads more about what the scroll is about, Kenki's face is angry and he shakes his head left and right, refusing to agree to their last mission.
"What the hell is that kind of mission, huh? Katsuki! I'm not going! Hell no!" Kenki exclaimed angrily as he began to walk away from Katsuki to his left. He then approached Kenki and used his left hand to tap him on the right shoulder while holding the letter in his right.
"Give it a chance, Kenki! Come on... I know this is such a drawback and a hindrance, but I see it as an obstacle," Katsuki replied, making a sad face. Katsuki comes to a halt and turns around, but he keeps his cool.
"Do you remember the last time we were there? Did you hit your head last night or this morning, Katsuki, or did you eat something strange?" he asked, glaring at him. He looked deep into his eyes as Katsuki demonstrated pure intent and kindness.
"We are Shira's Kenki! We are Shira's! We are swordsmen, we have these swords for a reason and have orders to follow! Don't take it personally Kenki. If you aren't going, I'm going! I don't care if they die or not, I just wanted to kill those bastards, the Dark Mobs. Even though the people we will be saving are such pain in the head," Katsuki said seriously.
"That Continent is where Shimodo Rou's father saved us! Do you remember people throwing us and leaving our mother to die? And now here we are saving them, what did that accomplish?" Kenki asked, his eyes welling up.
"I believe there are still a lot of innocent people out there. It will take us some time to get there, but I hope we can save Inno—" he said before being abruptly interrupted by Kenki tapping his shoulders with both of his hands.
"No! Kind people are always unfortunate! I don't think we'll see one when we get there, Katsuki... Just accept it," he said, shaking his head left and right and lowering his head.
"Read the paper, Kenki," he said as he noticed Kenki shaking his head left and right, saying no and looking away.
"They have safe underground bunks for children; if we go there now, we'll be saving those children's futures! Do you forget what you're fighting for just because of that damn people in that village we'll be saving, Kenki? Have you grown up?" he asked, prompting Kenki to turn around. As tears began to fall from his eyes, he appeared offended.
"Sure... We'll go, but expect me to only save children, not adults. I'll only save parents if I see they're worthy, if they truly protect their child. That's what I'll be doing, you marked my words of those filths are still alive I won't save them," Kenki said quietly to Katsuki, who smiled and nodded. He slid the scroll back into his pocket, and they both turned to their right, walking into the forest. Kenki wiped his tears as they walked into the dense forest's shadows. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, and the sky was a beautiful blue.
Four days have passed. Kenki and Katsuki have arrived at a flat surface. Behind them was a massive forest of at least a thousand feet tall, thick trees, and in front of them was a grassland and a swarm of sunflowers. They notice the sun rising in the distance and realize it's morning.
They could feel the wind blowing as they stood watching the sun rise. That made them both smile as they reached for their dragon masks with their right hands and removed them. They hold it as they inhale the cool air. They inhaled and exhaled as they began to walk. The grasses were small and not very tall, but the sunflowers are.
It was enormous and appeared to be taller than them. There were butterflies everywhere, and from a distance, all they could see were a bunch of giant sunflowers and the grass field they were on as the sun rise.
"It's been a long time since I've seen a beautiful view of the sun and inhaled a refreshing air away from pain, Katsuki," Kenki sighed. As they continued to walk, they were both relaxed and relieved.
"Don't forget the sunflowers... This is the continent. I hope people have changed in all those years, Kenki. And don't do anything that bothers and offends you. We'll see if this village is worth saving," Katsuki said, nodding at Kenki's side. Kenki was on his left side, leading the way.
They could see a hill in the distance, and behind the hill, a massive tower with at least six watchmen. Kenki and Katsuki can sense their presence from a distance. The massive sunflowers were partially blocking their view.
After a few minutes, they arrived at the hill. They climbed to the top, where they could see the village, the rising sun, and the watch tower. They both lowered their heads and saw a massive gate that had been completely destroyed. They return their gaze to the watch tower and notice blood on the men. They realized they had been killed, but their senses had been blocked. That caused both of their eyes to widen as they returned their gaze to the gate and saw two decapitated soldiers on the ground.
Katsuki and Kenki exchanged glances before walking down the hill. They've arrived at the gate and discovered two dead soldiers on the ground. The massive gate of the unknown village was completely destroyed in front of them. Half of the gates were charred and smoking, while the other half had been destroyed and was lying on the ground.
"This is the worst we could have hoped for... What the hell happened here?!" Katsuki yelled angrily as Kenki moved in front of him. He looks around the village and sees houses burning, smoking, and destroyed. As he turns his head to the left, he smells blood and notices massive holes in the walls. They couldn't detect life from a distance, and they were both puzzled as to why they thought the watchmen were alive but when they got close, they were dead.
"We should proceed..." Kenki said solemnly as he sighed and sensed danger approaching. They both started walking. They both walked into the village at the same time, past the dead soldiers. As soon as they stepped inside, there was complete silence. Nothing happens when their heartbeat stops for a second. They continued to walk as if on guard and wears their mask again.
"Dead civilians are everywhere, Katsuki. It appears that this village was ambushed and not alarmed, poor people, that's what they get for being greedy and staying away from the heads," Kenki said menacingly. He said it angrily.
"Yeah, they thought they could handle their own, but they can't. The watchmen have been shot with arrows and killed in their posts, indicating that this was done last night. It took us a while to get here because of the giant dark monsters getting in our way," Katsuki said, stretching his shoulders and neck.
"Those bastards never stop, and these villages never learn! Let's pay the heads a visit and hope the children are still alive like the letter said. If the heads are dead, we'll both check the whole place and split up and find the children," Kenki said as Katsuki nodded as they walked into the village without fear.
After a few minutes of walking. They arrived at the village's capital. They made expressionless faces as they pondered the location of the Capital. There was an empty lot in front of them, and when they looked down, they saw stairs leading to an underground facility.
There was no structure. The building of the unknown village's heads appeared to be missing, and they were about to laugh when they stopped. They both approached the stairs down, looking left and right for signs of heads of the village building. They were now in the heart of the village. There was complete destruction and dead people everywhere they looked. They passed a dead army on the ground on their way to the capital a while ago.
"Where do you think the capital building went? Did it run?" Kenki jokes. As they approached the stairs down, Katsuki laughed.
"I don't even want to know Kenki, but I think it was blown or destroyed by a powerful dark, but we'll find it as soon as we split up," Katsuki sighed as they both began walking down the stairs. As they descend, they notice that there is no light. It was completely dark.
Katsuki, who is leading the way, draws his sword with his right hand and tightens his grip on it. Suddenly, the blade of his sword began to glow, providing light for them. They reached the underground layer, and what they saw terrified them.
They see three heads dead on the ground, drenched in their own blood. They could see a couple more unknowns dead, but they could clearly see the heads dead. Kenki and Katsuki's eyes widened as they were sawn in half.
"Those are the past and current heads. Do you remember them, Katsuki? Those are the filths. It's right for them to die, they made terrible decisions in the past and even now! They never learned and look what they got, the village was completely destroyed and almost all of the people were dead!" Kenki yelled furiously as he turned around and began to ascend to the surface.
Sympathy can be seen in Katsuki's eyes as he shakes his head left and right and turns around. He returned to the surface with Kenki and re-sheathed his sword. He sighs, concerned about who they'll be fighting.
"Let's split up and meet here tonight. If I find something, I'll send a dragon air slash attack towards the sky. I suggest you do the same," Kenki said solemnly as he turned to face Katsuki, who nodded. Suddenly, he vanished into thin air, as did Katsuki. They both went their separate ways in search of the children who had been separated from their parents in order to save their lives.
They appeared to have arrived at the scene too late. Hundreds of thousands have already died, and the village's foundation, the three heads, has also died. Except for the missing generals and half of the army, there are no commands.
Katsuki went west, while Kenki went east in search of the bunkers, they are both searching. The village was quiet as the sun rose, but there were no signs of enemies nearby.
Ganko is the name of the village. The Village of Ganko was once a prosperous nation, but it is now just a bad place to live. The previous heads died, and since the new heads took their place, things have begun to go awry.
The new three heads were such fools that they severed ties with the neighboring nation, the east. They thought they could handle their own, but they can't because the enemies, who are dark mobs, have grown in number in recent years.
The unknown general of Ganko Village is almost exiled for attempting to reestablish ties with the East. He was later tasked with protecting the village, but he went missing with half of his army when the attack occured.
The known shadow guard swordsmen of the Ganko Village's heads are also missing. When they severed ties with the leaders of the East, they never showed their faces. What happened to the general? And where are the Shadow Guard Swordsmen of the Ganko Village's heads? When the village was attacked, questions arose.
