A Tragic Death
Chapter 53: A Tragic Death
A Tragic Death
Kiroshuku Hakure was heading back to the West. He was fatigued in the midst of the forest and could scarcely move, but he was determined to keep on. Both his back and his head hurt. His heart and lungs were also bothering him, and his legs and arms were tired.
It was like a five hundred kilogram lead dragging him down all over his body. His sheathe held his snapped sword. Blood was trickling from the side of his forehead.
He abruptly came to a halt while reaching for a massive tree with his right hand in his right. He coughed out blood while kneeling on the ground. He closed his eyes for a second before opening them and feeling a sharp ache that caused him to kneel even farther to the ground.
He spits out blood as his face turns red and slowly the pain starts to go away. He took a deep breath and he stood strong. He widened his eyes as he walked slowly on the grassy path. He cleared his throat as he clutched his left fist and stopped touching the tree with his right hand.
Suddenly, he began remembering words within his thoughts, and he also noticed footprints left behind in his walk in front of him. That caused his eyes to widen even further, and he felt relieved. As he turned around to stare in the distance, he relaxed and calmed down again.
He could see a never-ending forest and realized he was far from the North Wind. He then returned to his path and resumed his trek. His sole remaining eye became solemn as he lowered his head.
His grandfather said the words he recalls. Kiroshuku Hakure was an elderly man who had seen a lot in his life. He lost many of his students due to an unexpected counter. His students were attacked by beings far more powerful than themselves, and they were all nearly killed.
When Kiroshuku arrived himself he saw his thirty students dead on the ground. It was a village, a peaceful village near the east and south and also near a tree village. These two village the tree village and the village that his students were on was annihilated without the giant nations knowing it.
Kiroshuku Hakure arrives at the scene alone, seeing his thirty students lifeless on the ground, horribly slaughtered and a few of them are devoured. He was heartbroken yet he controlled his anger and continued, alone, slaughtering every enemy he saw.
And at that time, that's where he met Fudo Toka. He went there to greet his students, yet he saw he couldn't believe what had happened to them. He saves no one but himself. Failed to protect them.
After a couple of hours passed. Kiroshuku Hakure was halfway to the west village. It was evening and twelve hours had passed. He knows that it's almost near the middle of the night and after that is the sunrise.
He could only see darkness but the trees were helping him to know his path. He walked when all of a sudden he stepped on something that made him stop. He looked down and saw a familiar teddy bear that made his eyes widen.
He knelt on the ground slowly when all of a sudden it began raining. He stared at the teddy bear as he slowly grabbed it with his left hand, seeing that it was Fudo Toka's teddy bear. That made him tear out as it rained. He raised his head and looked at the dark sky.
"Please... Don't tell me you're dead. And Domei and Blue? Is she okay? I guess there's only one way to find out is to continue without turning back—" Kiroshuku Hakure said when, all of a sudden, he was stabbed by a sword in the belly.
That made his eyes widen as he glanced up front, seeing a dark swordsman materializing in front of him smiling at him menacingly. The blade of the sword pierced through his skin and was now also on the other side of his body.
He dropped the teddy bear on the ground as he touched the darkening blade with both of his hands, while blood started to drip down his belly and the side of his mouth.
"Who made you think you could escape, old man? There's no way out for all of you in this world. My blade is stabbed to your belly and it pierces through you near your spinal cord. You're immobile, whatever your trying to accomplish here won't get it done. So, I guess say your final word." The dark swordsman said menacingly as he glanced at Kiroshuku, seeing him not showing his eyes, but he was completely unfazed.
The dark swordsman started to pull out his sword while he stabbed his belly with his sword with his right hand. Suddenly, he couldn't pull his sword out from his belly, making him hold his sword with his other hand.
He realizes that both of Kiroshuku's hands were tightly holding his Darkening blade and that he couldn't remove it. He could see blood dripping from his palms down to the ground. Suddenly, Kiroshuku's right eye began to glow bright green and he started raising his head, glancing menacingly at the dark swordsmen.
"You'll be coming with me!" Kiroshuku exclaimed when, all of a sudden, he snapped his blade into two and the other blade with his right hand and choked the dark swordsman with his left hand. He then held his other hand where his sword was tight, making the dark swordsman unable to move.
"How in the hell of this world do you still have the strength to move and make me immobile?! I won't let this thing happen!" Exclaimed the dark swordsman furiously, when all of a sudden Kiroshuku lost grip and fell to the ground. The glow in his eyes vanished and he slammed to the ground in front of the dark swordsman dead.
As the light in his right faded away, tears streamed down Kiroshuku's face. He was stabbed in the back again, this time with the blade aimed at his heart. The unknown dark swordsman struck his heart with his sword's blade, ensuring his death.
Five Darkening swordsmen surrounded him. As soon as they surrounded him, a portal underneath his body began to appear. They took his body away as the air began to travel strangely around the forest where he died.
The teddy bear that he left was on the ground with blood and was being washed by the heavy rain. Before Kiroshuku died he whispered his last words. He whispered um sorry that the dark swordsman who stabbed him didn't hear it.
His past life as a kid and an adult flashes before he died, and before he died the last thing he saw was the last one he took care of. It was Fudo Toka. The only student he left that he managed to save by entrusting them to Domei and Blue.
On the other hand, Fukeshin Gakure was stuck in a three-world dimension. He was approaching a lonely colored dark aquamarine tree in the far distance. He was stepping on rocks and he seemed upset.
He could see the dark ceiling above him and a green gloomy light that gave him goosebumps and made him feel uneasy. He was upset and angry, and he facepalmed when he realized he couldn't get out and there was no way out.
He reached the giant tree that was colored dark aquamarine. He sat in front of it and leaned back at it. He looked to his left and right, seeing there was a giant cliff on both of his sides, making him smile. He looked up to his left and saw a giant floating island.
That made him glance at it, mesmerized as he raised his head and stared at the ceiling, asking himself how he got out of the three-world dimension. He was frustrated since he had been walking in the dimension for the past twelve hours alone, not doing anything but walking and on guard and looking around and looking for exits.
"Tsk! I'm a failure! I can't believe I'm not getting out of here unless I manage to do magic. I can't believe so much that I got trapped here. I wonder where Kiroshuku went when he both got sent off. I've been here for the past couple of hours and I hope he is safe." Fukeshin Gakure thought as he realized he might be stuck there forever.
He looked up at the ceiling once again, seeing another floating island. The rocks were colored dark aquamarine, the same as the light that he didn't know where it was coming from. The ceiling was moving the same as the ground he was sitting on.
The wind was gently blowing the colorful aquamarine tree he was leaning against behind him. He could feel the wind approaching from the east, which made him start thinking about how he was going to get out.
He began to close his eyes and fall asleep. He hid his presence fully as he fell asleep, not realizing someone was watching him from above. On the floating island on his far left, there was another unknown swordsman standing who appeared to have noticed him.Download Novelah App
