My answer to his question was just a nod. When I finished looking at his hair, our eyes met. Because my place is quite close to Jake, I can see my reflection in his eyes, his eyes that make you drown if you stare.

"I'm not staring at nothing" I denied him and adjusted my seat to lean on the sofa.
He came closer and really left no space between the two of us as his arm rested on the back of the sofa, as if he was leaning on me but his arm was resting on the back of the sofa.
"If you're not, then what did I say earlier?" He asked and one of his hands took my hand and played with it until our hands were clasped.
"You didn't say anything earlier"
I answered him quickly, I didn't really know if he was saying something earlier.

"I'm sure, love." After he said that, I felt his thumb move slightly on top of my hand again.
For me, that gesture of him was sweet, because it was also gentle when he touched his thumb.

Instead of answering me, he adjusted his seat and his arm that was resting on the head rest of the sofa and slowly put it on my nape and his hand that was holding my hand rest it on the sofe on my side.
I squint because our faces are so close to each other now. I can't react to the position we have now and all I can do is blink my eyes and swallow my own saliva. I can also hear the strong beating of my heart which worries me that Jake might hear it too.
Jake's face slowly came closer as he looked at my lips, I could also feel his breath hitting my face and I could smell his fragrant breath.
Before our lips met, I could see Jake close his eyes and at the same time, I also closed my eyes and held my breath.
