Homepage/The Cold Hearted Prince And His Maid/
Chapter 36
Sabrina heaved out a heavy sign as the maids used the last pin to hold her hair in place. She stood up from the chair and walked to the standing mirror to take a look at herself. She smiled in satisfaction, brushing her hand on her dress before walking out of the room.
She headed for the staircase leading to the Queen's chambers lost in thought. She needs to do this, time is no longer on her side. It's high time they stop playing around and begin with the main reason she came here.
"Hey! Watch it bitch!"
She was suddenly drawn out of her thoughts by an angry voice. She stared up to see Nikolai staring down at her with disgust evident in his eyes. She had obviously bumped into him.
"Ohh sorry.. hi Nikolai."
Nikolai stared down at her disdainfully, his face scrunched in disgust. "Well, apology not accepted." He said sarcastically. "You have eyes, use them bitch."
Sabrina chuckled lightly, staring at him with a sweet smile plastered on her face. "It's been so long since I last saw you, how have you been?" She asked with fake concern.
"Oh my god! I would have been a lot better if I didn't have to see your ugly bitchy face in this castle." Nikolai said sarcastically, mimicking a lady-like voice. "I hate you and you know that Sabrina, now get your ugly self out of my way." He spat out angrily, pushed her to the side and walked passed heading, making his way down the stairs.
"I'll be getting married to your brother soon." Sabrina begins making him pause on his way down the stairs.
"Which would require you to respect me, as your queen." Sabrina said, staring down at him with a sly smile as he stared at her from his shoulders.
Nikolai chuckled humorlessly turning around to stare at her with his brows quirked. "I always knew you to be a stupid spoilt bitch. Queen? Your stupid wish."
"It's no wish Nikolai, it's reality." Sabrina smiled at him.
"Well, let's see you become Queen." Nikolai said lastly and took one last glance at her before turning around and making his way down the stairs
Sabrina stared at his retreating figure with a smirk on her face before turning around to make her way to the queen's room.

The Queen sat in front of her mirror brushing her hair gently, letting out a heavy sign repeatedly. She has been clouded by thoughts of her son ever since she had woken up this morning.
She jerked out of her thoughts, when a knock came in and a guard stepped into the room announcing Sabrina's presence.
"Let her in." The Queen said and dropped the brush and turned around just in time to see Sabrina walk into the room.
"Mother." Sabrina called in acknowledgement, walked to her and bowed her head. "Good morning mother."
"Good morning my dear Sabrina, please have a seat." The Queen said to her as the maids drew out a chair for her to sit.
"Thank you mother." Sabrina muttered before sitting.
"So tell me what brings you here so early?"
"Something very important, mother." Sabrina replied, heaving out a heavy sign.
"Leave us." The Queen ordered the maids.

"Hey brother." Nikolai said to Luciano who was currently training with a warrior.
"Hey." Luciano replied as he swung his sword around effortlessly.
A few minutes later, Luciano walked to Nikolai plopping on the bench beside him. "Hey you might need this." Nikolai offered him a gourd of water.
"Thanks." Luciano said and gulped some of its contents down his throat, keeping the gourd beside him.
"He came to me." Luciano started after calming his breath for a few minutes.
"Who?"
"Elliot." Luciano answered, taking the gourd to his mouth again. "He knows."
"Know what?" Nikolai asked furrowing his brows in confusion.
"He knows I'm in love with Eleanor."
"Ohh, now you finally admit you're in love with her." Nikolai teased with a smile on his face.
"Ughh! Did I just say that?"
"Yes you did brother."
Luciano huffed and took the gourd to his mouth m, taking another gulp. "He knows Nikolai and you know that's another problem. I don't trust that man."
"And what did you tell him?"
"I denied it Nikki, I can't let him know. Though he said he'll keep watching me, why can't he just mind his fucking business." Luciano spat out angrily.
"That's too much problem, there's Sabrina and now Elliot. We have to do something."
"But what do we do?" Luciano asked exasperatedly.
"Okay, let's start with this. How about you tell Eleanor of your feelings towards her." Nikolai suggested.
"What?!" Luciano's eyes widened in shock, almost popping out of their socket. "What do you mean?"
"Yes Luciano. Tell her. You need to let her know of your feelings, then we can think of what to do next. We need to act fast before Elliot gets ahead of us. You know that man, he's very manipulative. He can decide to hurt her and you know father would always be on his side. And then there's Sabrina, another untrusted bitch-"
"Okay, okay!" Luciano let out a heavy sign. "Fine, I'll do that."
"That's right, for her safety."
Luciano let out an exasperated sign, running his hands through his hair before taking the gourd to his mouth and taking a large gulp down his throat.

"Mother, I.... But when would the wedding take place." Sabrina asked softly. "It's getting tiring to keep waiting."
"Oh dear child, you must feel bad right now. I'm truly sorry that it has been neglected but don't worry, I'll talk to the King so he can fix a date, then we'll begin with the preparations."
"Thank you mother but can you talk to him now?"
"No darling, he's currently in the courtroom but as soon as he's out, I'll address it before him. And wait! We have to get a wedding planner, I'll send a message to one I know of. And also a very good seamstress, I'm definitely sending for the best seamstresses in the kingdom. Don't worry darling, everything would take place very soon."
"Thank you mother." Sabrina said, smiling sweetly at her.
"Awwn, that's the smile I've been waiting for."
"I apologize for coming so early to disturb you."
"No, it's okay child and besides it's not so early."
Sabrina lets a heavy sign before speaking. "It really hurts to see him with that slave while I keep waiting."
"Slave? Ugh, I almost forgot about her. Don't worry, everything will turn out real good, just wait and see." The Queen reassured her.
"Thanks mother." Sabrina said, smiling at her. "I'd like to take my leave now."
"Sure you can go."
"Thanks." Sabrina said lastly, flashing her a smile before she stood up and exited the room.

Eleanor hummed under her breath as she arranged the sheets on her bed. She had woken up very early this morning so she could finish her daily duties early and have a little time for herself which she succeeded in doing.
She had gone to clean the Prince's room this morning and didn't see him. Thanks to the gods though, cause she's really tired of his weird behaviour.
Eleanor jerked out of her thoughts when she heard the door swing open. She froze with her hand on the bed when the cologne of the person filled the air.
She doesn't need to turn back to know who just stepped into her room. The prince? What was he doing here?
With wide eyes, Eleanor turned around to face the prince as he stood at the entrance of the room, his huge muscular figure dominating it.
Eleanor bowed her head and took her eyes to her feet muttering a good morning. She felt intimidated as he stood possessively by the door, looking around the room like he owns it Or maybe he actually owns it.
Luciano stepped further into the room and shut the door behind him.
He stared at her petite figure as she stood in the middle of the room, shifting from one foot to another, obviously nervous.
Eleanor twisted her fingers together as he stood still staring at her and not saying a word.
"I love you."
Eleanor stared up at the prince, her brows furrowed in confusion. "Huh?"
"I love you Eleanor."
Eleanor's eyes widened automatically in shock, surprise and confusion as she heard a loud bang in her head.
