“Come inside, it’s late,” he said in a low voice.
I didn’t move, I stayed standing beside him while he was still on his motorbike.
I was looking at my foot to hide my teary eyes. I don’t even know why I’m like this. I just feel sad knowing he’s mad at me. I feel like I will lose an alliance, since he’s mad.
I know we just knew each other for a while but all those moment he made me feel comfortable. In times that I was alone, waiting for Xavier and Samantha to be done with their private meeting, he was the person I get to talk to even though I was a bit cold towards him, he always chooses to stay and stopped me from overthinking. Now that I know he’s mad at me, I feel like there’s something in me that feel hurt and scared. I wanted to cry so badly.
He sighed. My hand was behind me, secretly pinching myself to avoid this heavy feeling that I have.
“I’m not mad, please go inside. It’s already late. I’ll call uou when I’m home,” he said softly as he made me face him. His jaw clenched as he wipe the tears that I have at the side of my face.
I nodded and bit my lower lip before turning my back on him to enter the small gate of my apartment.
“Please answer my call,” he said. I didn’t bother to look back and just continue walking inside. I headed straight to my room and fix myself. I received a text message that he’s home and will call after he finished something.
I was brushing my hair when he called. I was thinking twice if I would answer or not but in the end I decided to answer his call.
I didn’t notice what time we finished talking. I just woke up that he’s outside of the apartment waiting for me. He continued fetching me from my apartment and from my work. I told him that he doesn’t have to do this but he insisted. That was our set up for the whole week, sometimes when we eat on a restaurant and sometimes I just cook for us in my apartment.
I don’t know what’s between us but I don’t want to rush anything. He jus said that he wants to date me and I’m fine with that as long as we won’t rush things up. For now, I don’t want anything more than that.
I realized, we get along more. I feel at ease with him and I think he feels the same towards me. He looks relaxed whenever we are together. It made it easier for me to not feel lonely since my bestfriend got extended in abroad, I have someone here to make me feel secured and safe.

Today I have to leave for our conference. I am with Lucas, he’ll accompany me there. At first I don’t want to bother him but at the end we agreed that he’ll come with me.
“Hey, are you sure Samantha won’t mind? I don’t want you to get fired because of this,” I told him honestly.
He just chuckled and shook his head.
“Is she nice and kind? I’m just curious, how is she as your boss?” I asked a bit laughing.
“Are you fishing information so you could do something about you and you’re ex?” Lucas asked irritated.
I rolled my eyes on him and pinch his side.
“Of course not! I was just curious about Samantha since she’s hard on me!”
He was still irritated and so I pouted at him.
“Fine, I won’t ask!” I looked at the window and rolled my eyes again.
I was just curious okay? He’s so mysterious, he always shock me. He often treat me on a high end restaurant, now he fetch me with a car. I wonder how much is his salary that he could spend so much money in an instant.
“Are you sure Samantha won’t fire you for bringing this car?” I asked after some time.
He just smiled and shook his head. Sometimes I can see him chuckled like he was laughing about something or me. I pouted and look at the window again, what the hell is wrong with him?
I was sleepy when I look at him again. He’s now serious. He look even more handsome whenever he’s serious. I smiled even though I’m sleepy. He looked at me for a split second and focus on the road again.
“You’re sleepy, you should sleep.”
He took my hand and held it while he was driving. I smiled again and decided to sleep.
I woke up with a slight touch on my face.
“Good morning. I don’t want to bother you but you have to eat breakfast,” he said while smiling. I fixed myself a bit and smile at him too.
“Good morning, where are we?” I asked.
“We’re near the resort. Here’s your food,” he said and give me the food I think he ordered on a drive thru of a known fast food restaurant.
I was quietly eating when he start driving again. I offered him my food too, he was a bit shock and looked at me for a while before turning to the road again.
“Come on, Lucas. I won’t eat if you won’t let me do this,” I said. I can see his ears turned red that made me smile. I have this cute affect on him.
He was right that we’re near the resort. After we eat, it only took us half an hour to reach this place. He was bringing our stuffs when a staff of our company approached me to give the key card of the room designated for me. She asked me to come with her so I have to tell her that I am with Lucas that is waiting for me patiently.
“Miss Marisa, I have someone with me. I’ll just accompany him while he book his room before I’ll proceed to mine. The event will start at 12:30 right?”
I can see the shock on her face and nodded shyly before leaving. I turned to face at Lucas and smiled at him. I waited for him to book his own room.
