"You really forgive me?" Delanie asked me.
"Yes. You are my sister. It's not like i can hold a grudge forever." I said.
"Thank you." Delanie said and wiped her tears.
"You have always been the better sister." Delanie added.
"There is no better one between us. We both make mistakes, everyone does and there is nothing wrong with it." I said to Delanie, she smiled at me.
"So tell me how you got here. I never knew you were aware of all this." I said.
"Kyle and Denver explained everything to me." Delanie said.
"The both of them together?" I asked.
"Okay, that's it. I am never getting out of here." I said.
"Why not? Denver and Kyle made up and I believe we will both make it out alive." Delanie replied.
"That's unbelievable. But how will they find us?" I asked Delanie.
"I can't tell you. It's too risky to expose. You'll never know who is listening in on this conversation." Delanie said.
"All I can say is I assure you that we will be found. It's only a matter of time." Delanie said.
"You seem so sure of what you are saying." Maco said as he just appeared from nowhere, making my heart skip a beat. Even Delanie didn't see it coming.
"In fact, you seemed too sure and I am wondering..." Maco said and walked to stand in front of Delanie's cage.
"What is it you are hiding from me?" Maco asked Delanie.
"Nothing you'd ever know." Delanie replied Maco.
Maco laughed devilishly."Do you really think I am that stupid?" Maco asked and opened Delanie's cage.
"Get out." Maco said to Delanie.
"No." Delanie replied.
"That wasn't a request." Maco said and a long whip appeared in his right hand.
"Now get out of the cage or do you want me to ask again?" Maco said to her.
Delanie got out and was immediately grabbed by the hair by Maco. Delanie screamed and held on to her hair and his hand on her head.
"You know what? I don't think you sisters should be in the same place." Maco said.
I noticed Delanie was moving a bit awkwardly, as if she was trying to get something out of herself. She stealthily brought one of her hands down as Maco enjoyed torturing her. Still screaming and crying, Delanie took out an object from underneath her top and hid it in a fist.
"Say goodbye to your sister." Maco said nd as he disappeared with Delanie, she threw the object at my cage without Maco's knowledge. I stretched out my hand between the bars of my cage and after mch stress, managed to get the object.
It turned out to be an emerald at it was glowing. There was a note tied to it. I loosened the rope and opened up the note which read,
"Hide this well with you. It's what will help Denver and Kyle find you. And don't worry about me. Tell them I had another emerald with me. That way they can find me too."
Always like Delanie to have a plan B.
I hid the emerald in my shoe and stayed put. Maco returned and laughed at me. "So much for your freedom. I'm sure your sister will be the perfect trap for Kyle and Denver." Maco said then vanished again.
I just hope he doesn't harm her.
(DENVER POV):
...Midnight ( lit by the moonlight)...
After the long wait and the emerald happening to have stayed in one spot, I and Kyle were finally going to get Melanie as planned.
"Now is the time Denver. Are you ready? Have it in mind that you don't have your powers with you." Kyle said.
"Yes, I'm ready. Take us there." I replied.
Kyle took me with him to the precise place the emerald showed us. Right there in the room was Melanie and I couldn't have been any happier. While Kyle was watching the door in case anyone was coming, I got Melanie out of the cage with ease. Kyle had unlocked it with his powers.
I tapped lightly on Meelanie's face to wake her up. Immediately she opened her eyes she wanted to scream but I blocked her mouth and signed for her to keep it down.
Melanie then gave me a hug. "What took you so long?" she asked in tears.
"I missed you so much." she added.
"I missed you too." I said to her.
"How did you manage to cry so fast??" I teased and she pushed against me.
"Shut up." Melanie said to me.
Kyle came in. "Where is Delanie?" Kyle asked Melanie.
"Maco took her some other place." Melanie answered.
"Do you know where he took her?" Kyle asked Melanie.
"No but she asked me in a note to tell you two that she had an emerald with her and you both can easily find her. Maco had overheard our talk and suspected something and that is why he separated us." Melanie explained.
"Do you have the emeralds with you?" Kyle asked me.
"No I left them behind. We have to go check if she took another with her." I said.
The door opened slowly and Kyle rushed to I and Melanie then took us back to the mansion, in our room.
I rushed to check the drawers and when I opened the one with the emeralds none were gone. Of course she wouldn't have taken any. She was given off the moment I gave one to her.
"It's complete." I said and Kyle broke down.
"What?!" Kyle exclaimed.
"I don't get. She said she..."
"She lied!" Kyle shouted before Melanie could finish her words.
"Calm down. I'm sure we can find her." I said to Kyle.
"How?! How are we going to do that?!" Kyle shouted.
The door burst open and Mary came in with Kelvin. "What's happening in here?" worried Mary asked.
Kyle waved his hand at both of them and they both collapsed.
"What are we going to do now?! Use Melanie as bait this time?!" Kyle shouted.
"Just calm down Kyle." I said to him.
Kyle sat on the bed and buried his face in his hands. I heard him taking deep breaths.
"What next?" Kyle asked.
