Chapter 25 Anything to makes you happy

“We’re just glad that you’re safe. But… how can we trust the Alpha? He took you away from us without our permission,” she said with anger in her voice.
Iris held her mother’s hand gently. “Alpha Graham didn’t take me away without my permission, Mom. I asked him to help me,” she explained.
Her parents were even more confused now. “Why did you ask the Alpha to help you? Did someone hurt you?” her father asked worriedly.
Iris sighed and looked down. She didn’t want to lie to her parents again. But she wasn’t ready to tell them the whole truth yet. “I… there was a rogue Alpha who wanted me. That’s why I asked Alpha Graham to help me,” she lied.
Her father gritted his teeth angrily. “I’ll kill that rogue Alpha if I see him,” he said furiously.
Iris quickly shook her head and held his hand. “Calm down, Dad. Alpha Graham already punished him. He can’t hurt me anymore,” she assured.
Her mother looked at her worriedly. “Are you sure you’re okay, Iris? You’re not hurt anywhere?” she asked.
Iris nodded quickly. “I’m fine, Mom. Don’t worry about me. Alpha Graham took good care of me,” she replied with a smile.
Her parents looked at each other uncertainly. They still couldn’t believe that the Alpha was protecting their daughter. “But why did he take you to his mansion? Why didn’t he bring you home?” her father asked skeptically.
Iris felt nervous. She didn’t know how to explain it to them without telling them the truth. “I… I needed a safe place to stay. That’s why Alpha Graham brought me to his mansion,” she replied.
Just then, Dawson came downstairs. When he saw Iris’s parents, he walked towards them calmly. “Mr. and Mrs. Evans, I presume?” he asked politely.
Iris’s parents were shocked to see Dawson. They quickly bowed down respectfully. “Alpha Graham,” they greeted.
Dawson quickly stopped them from bowing. “Please don’t bow. You’re Iris’s parents,” he said politely. Iris’s parents quickly stood up straight.
“We apologize for disturbing you, Alpha,” Iris’s father said nervously.
Dawson shook his head and smiled politely. “It’s no problem at all. I’m glad to finally meet you,” he replied.
Iris blushed when she saw her parents interacting with her mate. “Mom, Dad, this is Alpha Graham, my mate,” she introduced.
Her parents were shocked. They looked at her in confusion. “Your mate? Iris, what are you talking about?” her mother asked worriedly.
Iris blushed even more. She avoided her parents’ eyes. “Uh… yeah. I’m… I’m Alpha Graham’s mate,” she mumbled.
Her mother covered her mouth in shock. “No! Iris, you can’t be his mate! You’re too young!” she cried.
Iris quickly held her mother’s hand. “Calm down… Mom. It’s okay. Alpha Graham loves me,” she said quickly.
Her father looked like he was about to have a heart attack. “Alpha… Alpha Graham… are you sure about this?” he stuttered.
Dawson stepped forward calmly and looked at Iris’s father. “I’m sure, Mr. Evans. I love Iris with all my heart. I will do anything to protect her,” he said confidently.
Iris’s father looked into Dawson’s eyes. He saw how sincere the Alpha was. “I see,” he said after a moment. He looked at his wife. “Honey, we need to calm down. The Alpha loves our daughter,” he said.
His wife quickly wiped her tears away and nodded. “I’m sorry, Alpha Graham. I overreacted. Please forgive me,” she apologized quickly.
Dawson smiled politely. “There’s nothing to forgive, Mrs. Evans. I understand your concern,” he replied. Iris quickly hugged her parents.
“It’s okay, Mom and Dad. I love Alpha Graham too,” she said happily.
Her parents hugged her back tightly. They knew they couldn’t stop their daughter from loving the Alpha. All they wanted was for her to be happy. “As long as you’re happy, my child,” her mother said tearfully.
Dawson watched them with a smile on his face. He knew that he needed to gain Iris’s parents’ trust. He walked towards them and held out his hand towards Iris’s father.
“Mr. Evans, I would like to ask for your permission to mate with your daughter. I promise to take good care of her and make her happy for the rest of my life,” he said seriously.
Iris’s father was stunned by Dawson’s words. He looked into the Alpha’s eyes and saw his sincerity. He quickly shook Dawson’s hand. “You… you have my permission, Alpha Graham,” he said emotionally.
Dawson smiled happily. “Thank you, Mr. Evans. You don’t know how happy I am to hear that,” he replied gratefully.
Iris’s mother wiped her tears away and smiled weakly. “I want my daughter to be happy too. If she chooses you, then… then I accept you as my son-in-law,” she said tearfully.
Dawson bowed down respectfully towards her. “Thank you, Mrs. Evans. I will cherish your daughter and make her happy,” he promised.
Iris quickly hugged Dawson happily. “Thank you,” she whispered happily.
Dawson hugged her back and kissed her hair lovingly. “You don’t need to thank me. Making you happy is my responsibility as your mate,” he whispered back.
Iris smiled happily and leaned into his embrace. She felt so happy and loved in her mate’s arms. “I love you, Dawson,” she said lovingly.
“I love you too, Iris,” Dawson replied with the same amount of love.
They stood there hugging each other tightly, not caring about the world around them. They finally had the blessing of Iris’s parents. Now, they could start their life together happily.
“Dawson,” Iris called softly as she put a hand on his chest. “What’s wrong? Are you okay?” she asked worriedly.
Dawson opened his eyes and looked at her. He smiled weakly and caressed her cheek. “I’m okay,” he assured. Iris didn’t look convinced.
