Chapter 29 He's different person now

"Wow! That's so hot. I wish I could have seen it," Emily said dreamily.
Iris laughed. "Trust me, it was scary at the time. But now that I think about it, it was kind of hot," she admitted.
"Of course it was. He's an Alpha. They're all hot," Emily replied.
"Yeah, but he's different. There's something about him that just draws me in," Iris said softly.
"Oh my god, do you have feelings for him?" Emily asked excitedly.
Iris blushed. "Maybe. I don't know. It's all so confusing," she admitted.
"Well, if you like him, then you should tell him. Don't let this chance go by," Emily advised.
"Yeah. Maybe you're right. Thanks, Em," Iris said gratefully.
"No problem, girl. Anytime. Okay, I gotta go. We'll talk later, okay?" Emily said.
"Okay. Talk to you later. Bye," Iris replied before hanging up.
Iris finished her cereal and got ready to go to work. As she was walking out of her house, she saw Alpha Graham standing outside, leaning against his car. He was wearing a black suit that fit him perfectly, showing off his muscular build.
As soon as he saw her, he pushed himself off the car and walked towards her. Iris felt her heart skip a beat as he approached her. There was just something about him that made her go weak at the knees.
"Good morning, Iris," he said in his deep, husky voice.
"Good morning, Alpha Graham," she replied politely.
"How are you feeling today?" he asked softly.
"I'm feeling much better now, thank you. And please, call me Dawson," he said.
Iris blushed slightly. "Okay, Dawson."
Dawson smiled, showing off his perfect white teeth. "That's better. So, can I drive you to work today?" he asked politely.
Iris was taken aback by the offer. She hadn't expected him to drive her to work. "Oh, you don't have to do that," she said quickly.
"I want to. Besides, we need to talk," he said seriously.
Iris felt a shiver run down her spine at his words. What did he want to talk about? "Oh, okay. If you insist," she agreed hesitantly.
Dawson smiled again and held out his hand for her to take. "Shall we go?" he asked.
Iris took his hand, and he led her to his car. He opened the passenger door for her and waited until she was seated before closing the door. Iris watched as he walked around the car and got into the driver's seat. He looked so majestic, so powerful. She couldn't believe that this man was her boss, and her mate.
They drove to work in silence. Iris sneaked glances at him every now and then, admiring his profile. She had never seen a man so handsome, so perfect. She wondered what it would be like to be his mate, to have him all to herself.
When they arrived at work, Dawson turned off the engine and turned to look at her. "We're here," he said, stating the obvious.
Iris nodded. "Yeah. Thank you for the ride," she said politely.
"You're welcome. So, about that talk. Are you free to have lunch with me today?" he asked hopefully.
Iris was surprised by the invitation. She had never had lunch with her boss before. "I… Yes, I am," she replied.
Dawson's face lit up with a bright smile. "Great. How about we meet in my office at 1 pm?" he suggested.
Iris nodded again. "Sounds good," she agreed.
Dawson nodded and got out of the car. He walked around and opened her door for her. He held out his hand and helped her out of the car. Iris felt a jolt of electricity as their hands touched.
They walked towards the building together in silence. When they reached the elevators, Dawson finally spoke up. "I'll see you at lunch, okay?" he said.
Iris nodded and smiled slightly. "Yeah. See you then."
Dawson gave her one last smile before turning around and walking towards his office. Iris got into the elevator and leaned against the wall, trying to calm her racing heart. She couldn't believe what was happening. She was going to have lunch with her mate, her boss.
Iris's nerves were on edge as she made her way to Alpha Graham's office. She clutched her files tightly to her chest, her heart pounding in her ears. When she reached his door, she took a deep breath, steadying herself before knocking.
“Come in,” Alpha Graham's deep voice called out from inside. Iris pushed open the door and stepped into his office, her eyes immediately meeting his piercing gaze.
Alpha Graham sat behind his desk, his eyes roaming over her body appreciatively. Iris felt a blush creep up her neck as his gaze lingered on her curves. She quickly looked away, trying to compose herself.
“Alpha Graham, I have the reports you requested,” she said, holding out the files in her hands.
Alpha Graham stood up and walked around his desk towards her. He took the files from her hands, his fingers brushing against hers. Iris felt a jolt of desire at the contact, her body responding instantly to his touch.
“Thank you, Iris,” he said, his voice low and husky. He set the files down on his desk and turned back to her, his eyes burning with desire.
Iris swallowed hard, her mouth suddenly dry. She knew that she should leave, but she couldn't seem to move. Alpha Graham took a step closer to her, his presence overwhelming.
“Iris, I…” he started to say, but Iris quickly cut him off.
“I should get back to work,” she stuttered, backing away from him.
Alpha Graham's eyes darkened with disappointment, but he nodded. “Of course. Thank you again for bringing me the reports,” he said politely.
Iris nodded quickly and turned to leave, her heart racing. As she reached the door, she felt a hand on her arm, stopping her. She turned to see Alpha Graham standing behind her, his eyes filled with a mixture of desire and frustration.
“Iris, please stay. We need to talk,” he said softly.
