Chapter 27 I would never hurt you

Dawson quickly wiped away her tears and kissed her forehead. “I would never hurt you, Iris. Never. I’m so sorry for scaring you,” he assured gently.
Iris slowly hugged him and buried her face into his neck. “I was so scared… but I knew you wouldn’t hurt me,” she mumbled.
Dawson held her close and rubbed her back soothingly. “Shh… it’s okay now. I’m here. I won’t let anything happen to you,” he assured softly.
Iris slowly calmed down in his arms. She looked up at him and kissed his lips gently. “I love you,” she whispered.
Dawson kissed her back gently. “I love you too,” he replied softly. They stayed there hugging and kissing for a long time, enjoying each other’s presence. They knew that they needed each other, and nothing could ever break their bond.
Iris opened her eyes slowly, feeling tired and exhausted. She looked around the unfamiliar room, trying to remember where she was. It took her a moment to realize that she was in the medical room. She slowly sat up, trying to ignore the pain in her body.
She quickly realized that her clothes were all torn, and she was covered in blood and bruises. She tried to remember what had happened, but her memories were blurry. She could only remember the pain and the feeling of being thrown around like a rag doll.
“Miss… Miss Evans? Are you awake?” a soft voice called.
Iris turned her head to see a nurse standing next to her bed with a worried expression. She quickly tried to sit up straight and clear her throat. “Y-Yes… I’m awake,” she mumbled weakly.
The nurse quickly came closer and helped her sit up comfortably. “How are you feeling, Miss Evans? Do you feel any pain?” she asked softly.
Iris shook her head. “I’m… I’m okay. Just a little tired,” she replied weakly.
The nurse smiled softly. “That’s good. You should try to rest as much as you can,” she advised gently.
Iris nodded and slowly lay back down on the bed. She closed her eyes, trying to rest. But she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. She tried to think about what had happened to her, but she just couldn’t remember clearly.
Suddenly, she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder. She quickly opened her eyes and saw the nurse smiling at her softly. “Miss Evans, you have a visitor. It’s Alpha Graham. He wants to see you,” she said gently.
Iris quickly sat up straight, feeling nervous and scared. She knew that Alpha Graham was looking for her, but she didn’t want to face him right now. She was too weak and vulnerable. “I-I’m not feeling well. Can you tell him to come back later?” she stuttered nervously.
The nurse looked at her sympathetically. “I understand that you’re not feeling well, Miss Evans. But Alpha Graham has been waiting outside for hours. He’s really worried about you. Please see him, even if it’s just for a moment,” she urged gently.
Iris bit her lip nervously. She knew that she couldn’t avoid Alpha Graham forever. She slowly nodded her head. “Okay… please let him in,” she agreed weakly.
The nurse nodded and left the room. A few moments later, the door opened, and Alpha Graham walked in. He quickly rushed to her bedside and looked at her with worried eyes. “Iris… how are you feeling?” he asked softly.
Iris looked away, unable to meet his gaze. She felt ashamed and guilty for causing him so much trouble. “I-I’m sorry… Alpha Graham. I didn’t mean to cause you any trouble,” she apologized weakly.
Alpha Graham quickly shook his head. He held her hand gently and looked into her eyes. “Don’t apologize, Iris. It wasn’t your fault. I’m just glad that you’re safe,” he assured gently. Iris felt tears welling up in her eyes.
“Thank you… Alpha Graham. You saved my life,” she said emotionally.
Alpha Graham smiled softly and wiped away her tears. “You’re my mate. I would do anything to protect you,” he replied lovingly.
Iris felt her heart skip a beat at his words. She knew that she had feelings for him, but she was afraid to show them. She was afraid that he would reject her or hurt her. But right now, looking into his loving eyes, she knew that she couldn’t hide her feelings anymore.
“Alpha Graham… I…” she started to say, but before she could continue, the door suddenly opened, and the doctor rushed in.
“I’m sorry to interrupt, Alpha Graham. But Miss Evans needs to rest. She’s still very weak,” he explained apologetically.
Alpha Graham quickly stood up and nodded understandingly. “Of course. I’ll come back later,” he said softly. He looked back at Iris and smiled gently. “Rest well, my mate,” he said before leaving the room.
Iris watched him leave with tears in her eyes. She knew that she wanted to be with him. She couldn’t keep running away from him. She needed to accept him as her mate. She slowly lay back down on her bed and closed her eyes, hoping to get some rest. She needed to get stronger so that she could face Alpha Graham and tell him how she felt.
The full moon night had finally arrived. Iris was nervous and excited at the same time. She stood in front of the mirror, looking at her reflection. She was wearing a simple white dress, her long blonde hair loose and flowing down her back. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves.
“Are you ready, my love?” Dawson asked as he walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
Iris leaned back into his embrace and smiled softly. “Yes… I’m ready,” she replied.
Dawson nuzzled her neck gently and kissed her softly. “Don’t be nervous. I’ll be with you every step of the way,” he assured lovingly.
