Chapter 28 Enjoying the romantic atmosphere

Iris blushed and covered her face with her hands. “I know. I just… I’ve never done this before,” she admitted shyly.
Dawson chuckled and turned her around to face him. He held her hands gently and looked into her eyes lovingly. “I’ve never done this either. We’ll figure it out together, okay?” he replied gently.
Iris nodded shyly and smiled softly. “Okay,” she agreed. Dawson smiled back and kissed her forehead gently.
They walked into the living room where their families were waiting. Iris’s mother quickly stood up and rushed towards her daughter. “Oh, my baby. You look so beautiful,” she exclaimed happily as she hugged Iris tightly.
Iris blushed and hugged her mother back. “Thanks, Mom,” she replied happily.
Dawson walked over to his mother and hugged her gently. “Hi, Mom. How are you?” he asked softly.
His mother smiled happily and hugged him back. “I’m happy, my son. I’m happy that you found your mate,” she replied lovingly.
Dawson smiled back and nodded. “Me too, Mom. I’m really happy,” he replied happily.
Iris’s father walked over to them and shook Dawson’s hand. “Congratulations, Alpha Graham. I’m glad that you found your mate. My daughter is very lucky to have you,” he said sincerely.
Dawson shook his hand back and smiled politely. “Thank you, Mr. Evans. I promise to take good care of your daughter,” he assured confidently.
Iris’s father nodded and smiled. “I know you will. You’re a good man,” he praised.
They all sat down and chatted for a while. After some time, Iris looked out of the window and saw that the moon was rising. She felt nervous again but tried to calm herself down.
Dawson noticed her nervousness and took her hand into his. He squeezed it gently and smiled reassuringly. “Ready to go?” he asked softly.
Iris took a deep breath and nodded. “Yes… I’m ready.”
They said their goodbyes to their families and walked out of the house together. They walked into the forest hand in hand, enjoying the romantic atmosphere. When they reached a clearing, Dawson stopped and looked at Iris lovingly.
“Iris… I just want you to know that I love you. No matter what happens tonight, I’ll always love you,” he said romantically.
Iris blushed and looked into his eyes. “I love you too, Dawson. Always and forever,” she replied lovingly.
They leaned in and kissed each other passionately under the light of the full moon. As they kissed, Iris felt a sharp pain in her back. She cried out and fell to her knees. Dawson quickly knelt down beside her worriedly.
“Iris! What’s wrong?” he asked frantically.
Iris gritted her teeth and tried to breathe through the pain. She could feel her body changing, her bones cracking, and fur growing all over her body. She knew that this was it. She was finally shifting into her wolf form. But the pain was unbearable.
Dawson watched in shock as Iris shifted into a beautiful white wolf. He had never seen a more magnificent sight in his life. He slowly reached out his hand and stroked her soft fur gently. Iris looked up at him and whined softly.
Dawson smiled softly and scratched behind her ears. “You’re beautiful, my love. I can’t wait to run with you,” he said happily.
Iris barked happily and licked his face. Dawson laughed and stood up. “Ready to go for a run?” he asked excitedly.
Iris barked again and ran around in circles excitedly. Dawson quickly took off his clothes and shifted into his alpha wolf. Iris stopped and stared at him in awe. Dawson’s wolf was huge and majestic, with thick black fur and piercing yellow eyes.
Dawson approached her and rubbed his neck against hers lovingly. Iris rubbed back against him and barked happily. They ran around together, enjoying their newfound freedom and happiness. They were finally together, and nothing could stop them from being happy.
Iris woke up to the sound of her alarm blaring. She reached over to turn it off and sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes tiredly. She yawned and stretched, trying to wake herself up.
She got out of bed and walked over to the mirror on her wall. She examined her face closely, checking to see if there were any marks or bruises. Luckily, there was nothing. She didn't look any different from how she did every other morning.
She sighed in relief and started getting ready for the day. She took a shower, did her hair, and put on her usual work attire. When she was done, she went to the kitchen to have some breakfast.
As she was pouring herself a bowl of cereal, her mind wandered back to the events of the previous day. She remembered how she had run into her mate in the hallway at work, and how she had spent the entire day trying to avoid him. She blushed as she thought about how attracted she was to him.
But then she remembered how she had been kidnapped by the rogue pack and how Alpha Graham had saved her. She shuddered as she thought about what could have happened if he hadn't come in time. She owed him her life.
As she was eating her cereal, she heard her phone ring. She picked it up and saw that it was her best friend, Emily.
"Hello?" she answered.
"Hey girl! How are you doing?" Emily asked happily.
Iris smiled. "Hey Em. I'm doing good, thanks. How about you?"
"Oh, I'm good. So, I heard what happened to you yesterday. Are you okay?" Emily asked worriedly.
Iris sighed. "Yeah, I'm fine. A little shaken up, but I'll be okay," she replied.
"That's good to hear. So, how did Alpha Graham save you? Tell me everything!" Emily demanded excitedly.
Iris rolled her eyes. Leave it to Emily to be more excited about the Alpha than her well-being. "He was amazing, Em. He shifted into his wolf form and fought off the rogues. It was incredible," she explained.
