Well, immediately Damian left, Ariel looked around as she wanted to engage in a very serious disagreement with Matthias but noticed that Matthias is no where to be found. Matthias is gone, leaving her to deal with the fallout of her actions. It's clear he knew the situation was dire and couldn't face the consequences. He's such a betrayer and a deceit. But Matthias' absence isn't her biggest concern though. She's more focused on the pain of losing Damian and the uncertainty of her future. She can't even bring herself to go inside the house, instead choosing to sit on the veranda, a picture of despair. Today has been a day of crushing realizations, it's the worst day of her life so far and she can't wish her enemy a day like this. Her child is injured, Matthias has shown his true colors, he's never the person he had pretended to be. The worst of them all, the man she pushed away is a billionaire. It's a lot to process, and she's drowning in self-pity. She's lost everything in a blink of an eye. Her mother approaches her, also filled with regret. If she had known Damian's true wealth, she wouldn't have pressured Ariel to leave him. Her greed has led to this disaster. She wanted a wealthy person, of course she have gotten it. The weight of her daughter's disappointment pressed down on her. She wanted a rich husband for Ariel, forgetting that love could build a strong foundation, If there is love then everything else could follow also, not forgetting that Ariel is hard working, they could be feeding from her own work but she wanted more than ordinary money for her. Now she have pushed her into chasing wealth by leaving Damian and marrying Matthias. And here they are now, they had lost everything. Now, looking at Ariel's heartbroken face, she realized the missed opportunity. If her mum had only accepted Damian, they could have been happy who knows what this surprise could have been! Today could have been a very big surprise because it will be almost their happiest day but no... Instead, her mum pushed him away, disgraced him. Yes she's putting everything on her mother's head because she's the one that pressured her, although she knew her own actions too had brought this pain upon her also. She knew she wasn't innocent. She couldn't have agreed with her mum but she did anyways. So in other words too, this was her fault, and she couldn't see a way to fix it. It was too late. With her eyes filled with tears, her mum gently approached her although not too close, she understood Ariel was very angered at this moment and needs to be given a space "Ariel, I'm sorry" Her mum said with a low voice. "Sorry? You're sorry? Is that what you can say now...? sorry! after ruining my life!! Just get out of my sight! I don't want to see you! get out mother!!" she yelled, her voice raw with pain. "Ariel..." her mother pleaded, reaching out to her and tried to touch her. "Don't touch me!" Ariel screamed, pushing her away. "Get out! Get out now!" She yelled with a louder and mad voice. Her mother, with a broken heart, had no choice but to turn and leave. Ariel needed space. Maybe later, when her anger subsided, they could talk, try to understand each other, and figure out how to move forward. But for now, all that remained was the crushing weight of regret. Ariel's anger burned like a wildfire. How could she have been so naive? She'd let her mother manipulate her, pushing away the man she loved, she couldn't have allowed her mum interfere with her relationship, it's her life to live and not hers. Imagine the fact that she saw Damian on the street, homeless! loved him and brought him into her life, she cherished him and wanted a happy life with the ambition of not wanting him to suffer anymore but honestly she could not account on how her mother came in and made him go through hell, he had endured so much. He'd faced disgrace, humiliation, yet he'd stayed by her side, showing his unwavering love. And at last she'd betrayed him. With all this remembrance in Ariel's mind she was almost lost in her thought but she snapped out when she remembered her baby, who was still with the doctor who was treating her inside the room. She'd been so lost in her own thoughts, she'd forgotten all about her. She wanted to go inside and know how the treatment is going but she lack the strength, she became increasingly so tired. She hoped the doctor would be leaving soon, so she could pay him and he'd be on his way, it has been a while now so the doctor should be concluding with his work by now so she waited for him outside the door. But she waited and waited, the doctor hasn't come out of the house, he'd been there for too long and it's becoming bothersome because there was no sign of him treating someone inside the room, everywhere was so silent and then she became increasingly bothered. Her mind began to tell her something wasn't right. She couldn't stay at the veranda any longer. She had to make sure her baby was okay. So she managed to borrow strength from no where and stood up, her legs shaky, and walked inside. The door to Gabriella's room was open. There was no sign of the doctor. Panic surged through her. She knew that something was definitely not right about the way everywhere was silent, and the position Gabriella was kept felt off as her heart was beating so fast urging her to immediately rush inside the room to know what's going on. "Jesus! My baby!" she screamed, immediately she rushed into the room "What...! what happened to her?!! ahh!!!!" She was screaming out her lungs in horror.
