If he is a new doctor, Ariel might have thought he didn’t know what he was doing. But clearly, he does know; he’s the one who has always been attending to her and her child if there is any health challenge, he's always there to help. So, what has changed? Why did he act this way? As she reflected on it, she realized that when he pulled out those instruments, she sensed something was terribly wrong. Why on earth would someone use such blades on a little child? Was this part of her punishment for being stupid for not stopping him when she sensed something was wrong? Or was it the work of Damian? No, that couldn’t be right. She knew Damian well enough to understand that he would never intentionally hurt her or Gabriella. No matter what happens, Damian wouldn't do such a thing, she knows that he loved them so much even though he's being indifferent now. She had to find a way to shed light on this situation. But nevertheless, Ryda would definitely pay for what he had done; it was no joke! He would spend the rest of his life in jail. While all this was going on in Ariel's mind she has being waiting, an hour passed, and the doctor who was attending to Gabriella still hadn’t shown up. This only heightened Ariel’s anxiety. She felt like she couldn’t trust anyone; it seemed as if everything around her was conspiring to hurt her. From her mother to the doctors, she was beginning to doubt everyone. Why was the doctor taking so long to respond? She was starting to think he might not return or probably was doing something else to her baby in there. “Ariel, please calm down. The doctor is definitely with your baby. If he hasn’t come back yet, it means he’s still busy trying to save her life! So please…” Oliveira tried to reassure her, but Ariel interrupted. "He’s taking too long! I can’t bear it anymore! I want to see my baby! Come on, Mother..." Ariel cried, tears streaming down her face. Just then, they spotted the doctor walking toward them, and Ariel rushed to him. "How is she? How's my baby, doc!" she asked, her heart racing. "Well, she’s alive, but we can’t guarantee how long she will stay with us. We’re doing our best to manage her condition, but I need to know what happened to her. I don’t understand! Who did this? One of her kidneys is missing, and I’m not sure she’s going to survive this. She was already in critical condition before you brought her here!" the doctor explained, his voice heavy with concern. Ariel looked at her mother, shock etched on her face as they both struggled to process the gravity of the situation. So, that was what Ryda did? he had actually removed the kidney of a little child knowing so well she have low chances of surviving? What could he possibly be planning to do with a little girl’s kidney? such cruelty!
| Doctor's Office | "Doctor, I'm just so lost. I don't understand what happened. My daughter... she's my whole world, and seeing her like this is breaking my heart." Ariel's voice trembled, her eyes filled with tears. "It's truly concerning to see such a young child in this condition," the doctor acknowledged, his expression grave. "Before we even talk about treatment, I need to understand what happened. It's important to know the full story." "Well, When my daughter accidentally cut herself on a broken wine bottle, I immediately called for the doctor to come and attend to her and honestly he's been a good doctor" Ariel explained. "The doctor, he's always been treating us if any health issue occurs, infact he is my doctor and I can confess he's a good doctor and knows what he's doing, but that night when I saw him pulling out the supposed blades he used to do that to my daughter, I was surprised and confronted him about it with concern" Ariel said taking in a breath as she continues. "He said he needed to remove the glass shard, so in other words he knows exactly what he is doing. He asked me to leave the room so he could concentrate, and I did because I trusted him. And then I got myself busy with some things, and when I came back... I saw my daughter in horror and the doctor.... He was gone." As the doctor listened intently, his brow furrowed. He seemed to be weighing her words carefully. "You said the doctor asked you to leave the room?" "Yes," Ariel confirmed. "He said it was important for him to focus." "And you left him alone with your daughter?" The doctor's voice was low, almost a whisper. "Yes, but that's because I trust him, I don't know if you are understanding me... that's because... He's always being my doctor, he has treated me on different times" Ariel replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I trusted him. He's been our doctor for so long." The doctor remained silent for a moment, his gaze fixed on Ariel. It was clear he was struggling to understand the situation. "This is a very serious matter," he finally said. The doctor's brow furrowed. "This doesn't make sense. Why would the doctor suddenly harm her? He's been treating her for a while. Was there any change in his behavior when he arrived?" He asked. Ariel shook her head. "No, he seemed normal. The only thing that seemed off was when he pulled out the scalpel to operate on my daughter. I tried to question him, but he just said he knew what he was doing and felt that he really knew since it's not his first time treating my child." "Anything else seem out of place?" the doctor pressed. "No, not really," Ariel said, her voice barely a whisper. The doctor sighed. "If that's the case, I think you should consider legal action. Something isn't right. Perhaps he was pressured into doing this, or something else entirely. It's just... suspicious. And I can't quite put my finger on it" Ariel's mind raced. The doctor's words echoed in her ears. One name kept flashing through her mind: Damian. She didn't want to believe it, but the thought was taking root.
